The worst part of it all is that the remake that Disney announced (the remake that got this cancelled) has basically been put on the shelf indefinitely. So we’re ending up with nothing.
It's a shame that fans actually make stuff the fans want and like but the EA/Disney is on that BS. They are only worried about the games as a service BS.
I'm utterly amazed how gamers went crazy after seeing few KotOR locations recreated in Unreal Engine and elevated this "project" to some kind of second coming which was taken from them. It's ridiculous. You people have absolutely no clue how far this thing was from "completion", if we assume full KotOR1 with story and gameplay was to be recreated (and I do remember the Apeiron team claiming they wanted to include more planets and content, which was the biggest damn red flag in all of this, I've seen enough total conversion mods fail to know that). ALL we've seen was few locations, which felt nothing like KotOR if you ask me (the Unreal Cinema project was far more reminiscent for the game). There was no way in hell, no chance at all this thing would have been completed.
Now, who's wondering if one or some of the Apeiron devs went rogue and stashed all the code somewhere and may still be working on it to release it illegally?

5 years later still wishing this got made so we had something worthwhile instead of hoping for the official one to get out of development hell
