Ehh, I generally find Nioh to be the easier game. This guy is like, several hundred hours into this character and is the true endgame of Nioh which is about on par with NG+7 for Dark Souls. Everything one shots you, and it takes an insane amount of dedication and knowledge to A put out enough damage to kill an enemy and B know their timings so well that you literally never get hit because you would die if you did

Damn, it's always interesting to see how other people play. I play quite slow and calculated, using a sword, mainly mid and high stances. I died to that boss about 3 or 4 times I think, but I've gotten good enough that I finish some side-quests and even some main missions without dying even once. But there's always one boss that whoops your ass over and over again and makes you want to uninstall. For me, that was Saito Toshimitsu. That guy wiped the floor with me so many times that I had to take a break for a few hours before trying again xD

Came back on dual swords and shredded him into interrupt and burst. Honda was a pain in the ass for me at first too tho, that trajectory is actually BUGGED.
You’re playing it wrong. It’s not dark souls. The game actually rewards you for cycling between all 3 stances and to never use low stance is just crazy, that’s a third of your weapons moves and combo potential plus your fastest, least ki consuming dodge

I managed to get pretty good at it so that I don't really struggle at all anymore with any bosses or enemies, even without using low stance at all. Most bosses I beat first or second try. All about finding what works best for yourself.
you can actually cheese him in any difficulty with a yatagarastu set bonus and unused ammo on accessories and all armour via inheritance from bracers, use yatagaratsu GS and you can reach I think around 75-80% unused ammo, then from samurai tree get the 10% extra hand cannon damage and the extra ammo then join Otomo clan which gives you an extra 7 ammo for hand cannon at max reputation, the ranged weapon damage increase from ninja mystic arts applies to hand cannon too so use that if you have it. try for headshots but as long as you hit him it staggers him so he will get stunlocked and can usually be defeated without ever getting close, this works for most of the duels apart from Saika Magoichi and Gamo Ujisato who both have rifles and will shoot back although you can get lucky if can land headshots on Gamo you can't with Saika as he can also dodge easily. it does work in dream of the NIOH but you need to min/max out your stats and equipment for ranged damage otherwise you can run out of ammo because the bosses have so much health. works great for making progress in difficult missions as you can buy ammo with divine rice at the kodama shrines, but its not that fun so use it to quickly farm the armour sets you actually want. etc

Nioh NG+5 isn’t like Souls NG. Rather than being a steady buildup, Dream of the Nioh is purposefully THE SHIT. Basically, Team Ninja figured if you spent so much time on the game, it means you are willing to be perfect at it even when you are severely outmatched. Some think of it as fun, others don’t. Edit: Ignore this it’s Dream of Demon. Also Honda is just really really beefy.
Bosses in Nioh unlike souls like games don't just stat check you they also get new moves, become faster and trickier. This boss right here is NG3 and he also has a modifier called "Stone of penance" it increases your drops luck basically but also the amount of dmg you take by a lot. He has the stone at its maximum value of 9 so this was bound to happen.
@@sleepingfool-v2fhe is playing with increased difficulty (look at the right you’ll see a stone with +9 on it which increases the difficulty) on light weight build. I recommend you play it with a medium weight build with some buffs that allow you to tank and learn the game easier, the game has a very high skill ceiling.
If this is DotN it legitimately doesn't make sense how your HP is that low. You hit over 5k normally with the standard 2 graces set. Having less than 5k in DotN, even if I assumed you were using Divine gear, would mean you're something like 300 levels underlevelled. But that also wouldn't make sense as being that underlevelled would give you 100 levels from just clearing voice in the twilight ONCE.
Translation: Nioh and its mechanics are unbalanced. Its very bad. It’s easy to break the mechanics and combat but the same applies inversely. This is not fun to play.
I mean, it's WoTW and +9 stone. Of course you get one shot. We love quick change scrolls in this household.
