Great Video, as usual, Trenur. I think that The Rangers should have never gotten rid of JT Miller, to begin with. That's A Huge Failure Jeff Gorton can't escape. This is one of these trades & things that caused the regime change over from John Davidson & Jeff Gorton to Chris Drury. Let me know what you think. Again, I'd love to get him back, especially if they take Jacob Trouba back, to even out The Salary Cap.
Has to be a joke. The Rangers have so much dead weight in cap for this and upcoming seasons that this and deals like it will NEVER be a reality. We have already witnessed the peak. We won't see this group be any better than what we already saw. No one or two trades are going to magically take away all the warts.
Selling Igor, Chytil, Kappo, Cuyle, Fox or Laf AND picks would be the only way were offloading players like Mika, Trouba, Lindgren or Kreider... Otherwise were stuck with terrible contracts and this is only going to get worse. We need to give Igor a 7mm raise and the cap is only going up 4mm so we need to make an extra 3mm in space JUST TO SIGN IGOR! Then we need to resign Cuyle and a few other guys due a raise. We will have to trade a few young studs just to survive. We didnt win the cup last year and that was the last chance thanks to Trouba and his egregious errors at the blue line vs The Hillbilly Panthers.
@@bmwx5m226 You said it ALL! It doesn't look good. When you think about this season and the window of opportunity and getting more for less. Can't help but feel like the Rangers are squandering this production from guys with low AAV or league minimum deals.
@@MikeyScott90210 Yea those deals either came to an end or are coming to an end. Igor making half of Trouba salary is disgusting. No wonder Igor is demanding the raise... he spent all that time mopping up for terrible players making 2sx his pay. Trouba is to the Rangers what Daniel Jones was to the Giants; both ruined the team's chances and made the most money... unbelievable really.
With J T Miller on indefinite leave due to personal reasons, how is this player even considered as a solution for the Rangers problems? Emphasis on "indefinite"
Would any one new player - or two - reverse the sickening problems leading to this 5 game losing streak?
All this talk/rumor mongering by management has to be killing any remaining morale.

@@trondeaf My guess is that isn't the case here - guess...Miller went on leave, though, well before trade talks. Also, teams usually healthy scratch a player pending a trade.
They're going to trade a playerwho was once a Ranger,he also has taken a leave of absence.
Why would they bring him back so that at 37 years old they have a player making $8 million when they can wait one more season if they can’t trade Truba and he walks and the Rangers will have all that cap space to get anybody they want. Drury is afraid he’s gonna lose his job, but he’s the one who hired laviolette and laviolette is known to lose his teams after a year or two and has no toughness that’s why his nickname is lay down laviolette in Carolina!
I dont see Miller fixing what we have thats broken , but whatever . It's not a one trade and we're fixed situation , but we gotta start somewhere if only we addressed some glaring problems off-season like competent teams do.

Since there has been no trade at all, how can you say this is a report ? 1. Why would the Rangers be interested in a player who is not playing and 2. Who will they dump to make room for him ? And bear in mind that it would need to be someone the Canucks might want. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s wild report: There is nothing to report…………again.
The team wants to get rid of Trouba and his 8million salary to hire someone else with the same salary which makes no sense.

I was majorly pissed off when Gorton traded JT for Namestnikov. So dumb! The problem was Vigneault playing him on the wing instead of center. However, the team needs to get younger, not older. Pass.

More shuffling the chairs on the deck of the titanic. In my opinion, Drury is a weasel with no integrity, he treated Ryan Reaves and Goodrow very poorly on their way out, did the same with Trouba over the summer... he fired Gallant to cover up his own failures, and he still has fixed NOTHING with this team, same core of underachieving quitters. Start by firing Drury, not another coach.

ANYONE on this team can go. A lot of fans get enamored with players that have tenure and forget the old rule. You root for the name on the front of the jersey, not on the back. Time to blow up this stale & vanilla Ranger roster!
