Yes! thank you! people keep mentioning release dates for the songs but Namjoon has a lot of songs that he wrote in the past and he sometimes sits on them a while years even until he feels he can use them or is inspired to work on them more. So it isn't so cut and dry to look at release dates.

I think it was more like light self-deprecating humor rather than about ARMY's and BTS. Because he has said before, after trying to mimic something in songs, "I'm sorry, I'm a producer, not a singer.", so I think when he decided not to imitate Jimin, it was more like, "Yeah, I'm not a good singer and I don't want to scare away my viewers."
I think you were reading just a little too much into it.
Kendrick released DAMN. in April 2017, and Serendipity was released in September 2017, almost 5 months later. I don't know where y'all are getting this "3 months earlier" thing from. And I don't know why y'all are heated over him saying there's an influence. Every song is influenced by something.

I'm an ARMY and Namjoon is my bias, but I like to give credit where it is due...on the trailer version, Ashton Foster is listed first, and on the full version, "Hitman" Bang is listed first. I'm pretty sure that whoever is listed first had the most input on the song. RM did work on it, and he probably wrote all the lyrics, or most of the lyrics, but the other writers and producers contributed a lot, too.
@@tptxbtsfan9067 I misspelled something sorry, it was beat not best. But yeah. We've known that Rm wrote the lyrics and Band PD usually retouch some of it, but the beat... Do you know who work on it?? Like was it Ashton Foster alone or what?
@@dariam2011 I don't know. Usually on the albums and on Lyrics Genius it just says "Produced by" and then lists everyone who worked on it. On Wikipedia it lists "Writers" separately from "Producers" for each song, but it doesn't really explain what that means. I assume that Writers means anyone who contributed to composing any of the melody or lyrics or an original beat, and Producers are the ones who put it all together into a finished track. But it's still kind of vague.
I think what happens a lot is that a composer will send a beat or a melody or an unfinished song to another artist, and if that artist likes it they'll work on it and finish it or maybe change it up, or combine it with something else they've written themselves, or use only a part of what the other songwriter sent.
So unless they all sit down and talk about it in an interview, it's kind of impossible to do know who did what.
I think it was Yoongi who said that it feels like they have a songwriting "camp" going all the time, where they all sit down to talk about their theme or concept and what kinds of songs they want on the new album. Then they all bring in bits and pieces of melodies and lyrics and see what works together.
@@tptxbtsfan9067 thanks for the info. Its quite hard to explain really but I get it. I asked cus I know Jungkook solo the beat or the track itself, the one who made it ask them to not change it and work around it. Unless Serendipity was like that it might had a lot of hands in the track. Writers usually are the ones who works on the lyrics and the melodies this lyrics are supposed to be sing like but they talked about Rm writing the lyrics but you know all of them works on it.
Like you said 'it's like a camp' is because at the end they incorporate everyone's idea in the song if it match the concept.

I don’t know if you’d be interested in this, but bts recently performed for the 2018 melon music awards in Korea and their intro to their performance of fake love sounded really cool and their performance was amazing. Please consider checking it out, either on the channel or in your own time. It was STUNNING

Namjoon is a musical genius. He has a really good ear for voices and knows wich voice fitsbwhat songs best. He sent jimin voice samples of him singing a bit! He knew that Jimin hadba really soft but strong voice that could sing these riffs just right!

I love how well this song conveys the feeling of finding an earth shaking love. I think that’s why the phrases in the beginning are so short, it gives that feeling of being breathless from the emotion you’re experiencing and that first adrenaline rush when you realise you’re in love. Probably one of my favorite BTS songs

Lyrics about 2 years before lamar. RM had the demo and it takes about 6 months to a year for each of their songs to be listened and approved by the company before they can start the recording process etc.
I dont want to start a war or something. I know BTS get influenced a lot by western musicians and thats cool but its hard for the members to get a song out and approved and they should b getting some credit for originality when its due.
I am army but i also like and stand diff musicians and i can say that bts does use beats and such from others. Example: most of RM first mixtape was borrowed beats.
Now i dont know how lamars production team works. Or whether or not there was some communication between their production teams. That would be cool tho.
