- Cynar rules, it is one of those amari I always keep on hand. I use it as the medium bitterness benchmark for other amari.
Here is an amazing drink you can make:
Cynargarita:
1 oz Cynar
1 oz Mezcal
.75 oz Lime
.75 oz Orange Curacao
.25 oz Simple Syrup
Cheers!

I just made one of these and it’s delicious!
nice.
Yessss! I’m totally into it right now! This sounds delicious! I’ll give it a go!
Nows the time!
My favourite drink with Cynar is the Bitter Giuseppe, but I’ve gotta try the Cynargarita
Oh yeah thats a good one too.
What other Amaro could you sub, just to mix things up a bit?
oh Jager, Etna, maybe Zucca or Sfumato. all sound good.
Oh yum! Cynar margarita sounds delicious. It’s a fun amaro to play with. Cheers!
It really is!
Cynar is not my favorite aperitivo or digestivo, but it is my favorite all around great thing to have. Works so well in so many ways.
I don't drink it on its own much, but it's a must have for cocktails. Cheers!
Looks great Pete😎 I will check this out 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
UNCLE PETE!!!! I LOVE Cynar!!! This might just be my fav Amaro. I love a Cynar martinez!! For some reason, I can't find it anywhere nowadays!!! I def need to try this cocktail. It looks to good to pass up!!! CHEERS!!!!
Cynar Martinez sounds dope!
@@UnclePete I made a video of my making it, check it out!!
I finally made this tonight, so good!
Oh I'm glad! I really love it, a real No Brainer IMO
Never had Cynar, didn't know anything about this. Very interesting. thanks for sharing. cheers.
Thanks for watching!
Cynar is my favorite amaro. This sounds like a fun margarita. I pronounce Cynar which ever way the wind is blowing at the time. haha.
Sounds like how I pronounce it as well!
This is my new fave drink. Thank you!
Enjoy! I love it!
@@UnclePete Tried it again with Reposed tequila... even better !
Yes, Cynar and Tequila is awesome!
I say CHI-NARR - but not sure if I’m right… I would love to try the 70 just cause 😜😎 …this sounds delicious!
Yeah the 70 is worth a try, but not essential.
I love original Cynar as well, but I haven't figured out how to use the 70 yet. I'll try this Cynargarita later this week as some of my absolute favorite cocktails are Cynar split-base sours. If you haven't already - try a "Turnbuckle" (rum) and a "Too Soon" (gin).
Ooh I'll look those up! Thanks for the tip!
@@UnclePete let me know what you think!
Too soon looks easy enough, Turnbuckle sounds great, but I don't have passionfruit syrup atm. Might try a tequila, cynar, lemon, bay syrup version...
I would recommend you try the Getaway. The drink combines Cynar and rum. I’ve been making mine with Jamaican rum. Also, I wonder how a Cynargarita would fair if you subbed in a Clairin like Sajous
I will look up the getaway, thanks! Clairins are pretty strong, but might be fun to mix some into the cynargarita, add some brine. cheers!
It's funny, I don't think I ever noticed this at my local bottle shops... but I've seen it loads of times in the last couple of weeks
That is funny. It has been around forever.
@@UnclePete Oh, I don't doubt that, it's just that I've never been looking for it until recently!
Thank you for the video. I have been using Cynar in my Manhattans lately. And for a really tasty Manhattan I use Crown Royal vanilla - mixes incredibly well with Cynar. It’s like they were made for one another.
Do you like Punt E Mes?
Crown Royal Vanilla does not sound like my sort of thing, but I bet vanilla and Cynar would be good together. I do like Punt E Mes, but I don't have any currently, it is not as versatile as regular vermouth, so I don't tend to keep it around. Probably should get some for fun though.
I thought there were no rules, but now you're saying Cynar rules. I don't know what to believe anymore, but I did buy a bottle and it's delicious. Very nice with rye over ice. I gotta try this Cynargarita tho.
You rule.
debating between Averna,Cynar and Ramazzotti, any suggestions? I have a bottle of Montenegro but it is a bit too sweet so I am looking for something a bit more "stronger"
All three are delicious and will be "stronger" than Montenegro. Cynar is the most bitter. Averna, and Ramazzotti would be smaller steps up the scale. You can't really go wrong with any of those.
I carried a bottle all the way from Italy
Thats dedication!
You know what's funny. Every time I watch one of your videos, I'm always checking out what Amari you have.....
Ha yeah I love looking at other people's back bars. I know you love the Etna, I'm thinking of reviewing it next.
@@UnclePete Yes sir!!! Etna is def in my top 5. I just got some Amaro Cio Ciaro. It's nice as well....
1) that drink looks really inviting
2) nice hat
1 - The drink is one of my favorites
2 - Thanks! Do you do MaxFun?
@@UnclePete I’ve been a Maxfun member since the aughts!
Oh cool! me too! I assume you saw the walton goggins/ jjgo video I made?
@@UnclePete that’s how I found your channel!
Love it!
I tend to say "Chee-nar" (I'm not Italian)
I'll say you're not. :)
I just made one of these and it’s delicious!
Hey cool! I'm so glad you liked it!
