I 100% blame disney+ for Disney going to shit. They pulled a DCU. "Hey avengers was awesome and everyone loved it! Let's do our justice league but we don't wanna put in the time and effort to build up to it".
Disney wants to Netflix without having to work for it. So they just need to throw up as much garbage as possible to keep ppl subbed (quantity>quality is their business plan atm). They've literally taken movies and cut them into shows/added filler so they can scrape by another month of subs
Yea Disney is all over the place and doesn't seem to know what to do at all.....I was reading this may be the first year they haven't put out a billion dollar movie at least since they acquired Star wars/marvel

Great Episode boys! You guys nailed the reasons there are so many flopped movies/tv shows. I would just add one thing. Politics, people paying for something want to be entertained that's why we do it. When they cram politics and a political agenda into our entertainment it just ruins it for me personally. On another note, I just started watching Pokemon Indigo League with my son on Netflix and it takes me back to our childhood Saturday morning cartoons. Sonic, Mighty Ducks, TMNT. what's your favorite childhood cartoon? Mine would have to be a 3 way spit between Goof Troop , Darkwing Duck & Tailspin

I'm playing Zelda TotK and I don't think it should win GOTY. It's a great game don't get me wrong, but it feels like an expansion pack from BotW.
Regarding flopping movies and shows, Rings of Power was interesting but there was too much of an agenda and it took away from the product. Beautiful yes, but it didn't check those manly lore boxes of honor, bravery, war, savagery, etc. like the original trilogy.
Starwars and Marvel just feels forced and over saturated on top of not checking those boxes.
I agree with u on Zelda I feel a lot of people think it was more of a 1.5 than a true 2
