1/2 Overall thought it was such a great show! But felt that it was kinda tone deaf this year for the developers. Arguably the best year for gaming...and worst year for developers. Then TGAs that are supposed to be celebrating the developers and you play them off the stage before they can finish a thought...skipped a ton of important awards...and you had celebrity after celebrity. Have faith in Geoff to continue to try to balance and improve but horrible year to overcorrect after judge fucking it up for everyone last yr
Yeah I don’t mind the ads because the reality is the show has to pay the bills so that’s fine. But it does need to stop being so Hollywood because that’s not who watches these events
@Mvndrew yeah for sure. And I deff feel for Geoff cause no matter what I genuinely do feel like he cares but it's such a balancing act. He is getting better every year for the most part but still has a way to go.
@@MrFattacular yeah I hate that people hate on him so much and say this n that when the reality is without him we’d have nothing. He’s trying and I appreciate that. I’d say the VGA are the new E3 now that it’s gone for good
@Mvndrew kinda funny games had a great discussion on their daily episode (Tuesday 12/12) but a good point was brought up. Everyone that claims they want it all about the awards....it's called Dice. And no one watches it! That's why Geoff does what he does. I personally would like 50/50 or so being announcements/awards. Maybe 2/3rds announcements, 1/3rd awards.

Great episode guys! Totally agree on your points about the winners being rushed off stage, took the emphasis of of the awards in a big way! Some great reveals though, stoked for the next 2 years of gaming!

2/2 On a lighter note tho, announcement wise, it was amazing imo! More hype announcement than some e3s haha my top were...
Light No Fire: loved no man's sky, blown away by the support, lack or microtransactions, free updates etc. But I'm not as much of a Sci fi guy. So fantasy game...on a planet the size of earth!? So fucking hyped and I believe hello games can actually pull it off...might be my most anticipated game now. Period.
Metaphor: hear so much praise about persona so very excited about this! And miss the high budget turn based games :( so glad they r sticking with it! Miss when final fantasy wasn't trying to be dmc lol
Sega multi project reveal: new jet set and crazy taxi!?!? Nostalgia overload and can't wait! Hope they give them the tlc they deserve!
No rest for the wicked: loved the ori games, some of the most beautiful games I've ever played so super pumped for their next project!
Hellblade: first one was incredible, this one looks to just be turning it up to 10! And best trailer they've had yet!
Good picks! I’m personally tired of seeing hellblade tho, either give us a date and show a chunk of gameplay/combat or don’t show anything. Buuuut yes I’m so hyped on metaphor, i haven’t tried persona because it doesn’t seem to interesting to me but I’m soooo excited for this game
@Mvndrew fuck ya! Will be fun to talk to someone about metaphor cause I don't know a lot of ppl into jrpgs. And yeah I get it with hellblade if u aren't into it. Pretty sure all but the first trailer was actual gameplay!
Honorable mention to the Jurassic game too like u mentioned! I'll prob be too much of a baby to play but looks awesome!
@@MrFattacular I love a good JRPg and this one really seems to be hitting it for me. Yeah I didn’t care too much for hellblade one, I was hoping 2 would be a step up. I get that they’ve shown gameplay but it’s been nothing really just waking or running lol DONT BE AFRAID just play with lights on 😂
@Mvndrew yeah my buddy asked if he should play hellblade and I told him it's 2/3rds walking sim, 1/3rd puzzles/fighting :) and honestly after alan wake 2...I'm a little ballsier with honor...bought dead space deluze remake for 8 bucks...gunna try that. If I can beat that I'll buy jurrasic Park, otherwise I'm 100% watching a playthrough at very least
