I made belt pouches for my Mando Heavy armor and they were amazing to have. Mine weren't quite big enough but I learned from it. Having accessible pockets in a cosplay is incredible. Having a handy place to carry a water bottle is even better. **grumbles about conventions in mid-summer** You took the paint job to the next level for sure. I always learn new things watching your tutorials. Thank you, Steve!
This video is perfect for what I'm doing, I'm not doing Gears of War but it's exactly what I need. I just spent hours on Ebay trying to find the best tactical pouches for my cosplay, just to find nothing. This video will definitely help me make screen accurate pouches, thank you so much.
Not yet I’m have to go back through the sd cards to make sure I recorded all of it. I jump from project to project so I don’t get burnt out and was definitely feeling that on gears. To many damn templates to try and film / show how to build.
We watched your video several times to be able to make this armor. But now I would like to know how to build the belt to complete these fantastic side bags. Could you make a video of the construction of this really cool belt.
Congratulations on the video, I've always wanted to make armor, will you make all the parts or just the bust. I say because I would like to try to do it all. sorry if there are wrong words using google translate..
I love these videos. really thinking of making my own at some point. There is one question about the prop, like a lancer/torque bow. Do you have a template for some sort of harness to put it on your back like in character, or would it be better to go with some sort of strap? I'm not sure how the foam would hold up carrying something like that might also be to bulky to wear on the back too I'm not sure. Thanks
I just carried it the whole time at DragonCon for pics there wasn't ever a need to have it on my back. Depending on what you are making some very strong magnets would be the most likely option vs a strap
Hi steve, awesome video as always :) im looking to buy a dremel and clicked on the links you have but they are all out in blick shop, do you have links for amazon? i prefer to use your links so you will get something as well :)
For this one I used Bob Smith superglue. I wouldn’t personally use 6mm it would make it structurally weaker but also there wouldn’t be enough surface area to glue and had some stick out
I don’t use a program all of my templates are hand drawn. Then I’ll scan them into the computer and outline my drawings in photoshop to create the patterns people download.
I'm finishing up my own pouches based off this tutorial, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get them to attach to the belt. Did you attach them directly or did you make some sort of loop for the back?
@@SKSProps Which video was that? I tried searching for a belt video, but the only one I saw was the video where you made straps out of the foam themselves. If the belt was also a foam belt, that wont work for this cosplay. The belt is one of those nylon web belts (for durability). Could I use glue to attach nylon web belting as a loop?
The package doesn’t have a strength on it but these are just the mini rare earth magnets from harbor freight. I will say they are stronger than some I picked up on amazon that are roughly the same size
Yeah, as you said - "a pretty decent job" 😛 I'm not quite sure how you grade your scales there, but an "excellent job" would probably make all other propmakers quit and get a 9 to 5 job 😉
I am just starting to get into cosplay and I have seen your amazing Tech Priest from a few years ago. I am interested in making my own but as I am not a very creative person and this is new to me, I am curious. Is it possible to outright purchase these from you?
I no longer take commissions I just do not have the free time. That is why I make videos, have free templates, and sell foam for others to make their own

Can I ship out of the United States? (I live in Europe)
You make very good instructions! I love to watch your videos.
@@Hennek Thanks! Unfortunately my brand and supplier are US based. Shipping outside the states has become ridiculously expensive

Thanks you Rex! that is also why on som builds I will put in a camel pack to stay hydrated 🙌
Thanks for continuing to give me inspiration to write short films based around me building these costumes! You are a truly skilled man!
Thanks and I’m glad you like the builds! 🙌

Awesome glad I could help! 👍
How does this build continue to get more amazing with each new part.
Thank you it has been quite a journey!! 🙌
Hell yeah dude I love how you broke this down now I can make pouches for my doom armor
Awesome! 🙌🙌
Once again, the paint job is impeccable! Love how you managed to get a different leather look on this project-just amazing!
Thank you sir! I appreciate it 🙌🙌
I love these pouches! Your painting ability is just superior.
Thank you so much!
This is very beauriful and cool. Thanks for the inspiration.
You’re welcome 👍
A great way to have your needed items with you.
So valuable when on the con floor. 🙌
Thanks for the video! definitely gives me a better idea on how to go about ammo pouches for my Halo Reach Trooper build.
You're welcome!
Wow. These look amazing
Thanks!!
I admire your work man, it is so clean and so full of detail. I´d love something from the Bloodborne series for the next projects. Cheers!
Thanks! Bloodborne is on my eventual list of something to build...but it's a loooonnnggg list so I don't know when it will happen
Hey Steve, one question may you have done a video showing how the matching belt that goes with the armor is done?

Eventually I will, I’ve just gotta find and make sure Ive got all of the clips. Otherwise it will just be a template drop
Thank you, I'll be waiting and congratulations on the channel.@@SKSProps

U are the master of master 🙏
I try my best! 🙌🙌
This is an ideal thing for me to make, just need to get some foam (which is a lot harder in the uk
the magnets wont effect your electronics will it
Nope, magnetic field isn't strong enough to cause damage to any of the phone's components
Excelente trabajo, quedo perfecta necesito mas armaduras y armas de gears por favorrrrr
Thanks! 🙌🙌
You are truly genius

Can you do a wolverine helmet please?🤞🏻🙏🏻
The front strap looks darkened but I can’t tell if that’s black or a dark brown mix. Any insight on what you used?
Just some Liquitex mars black

Dremel with flex shaft amzn.to/3FT9ebB
Love these 😁
Thank you! 🙌🙌
@@SKSProps No problem! Your videos really help 😃
1. I see the links for two glues. Which did you actually use to glue the foam pieces? 2. Would using 6 mm foam for the sides make it weaker?
For this one I used Bob Smith superglue. I wouldn’t personally use 6mm it would make it structurally weaker but also there wouldn’t be enough surface area to glue and had some stick out
Time to make some giant foam muscle arms sleeves!
I do still need to make the bicep, elbow, and forearm armor. hopefully that can be in place of upholstery muscles because those get so hot.
@@SKSProps will you make a tutorial for the arm armor?
Pleas please tell me which super glue you are using? The link you provide says no longer available. I have purchased 5 different types and none work
Bob smith superglue medium gel but in the past I also used loctite professional
Good evening, how are you?
Could you please tell me which computer program you use to create the projects(templates)?
