I have to comment again. Jen's work, her patterns and her teaching is amazing. And she say's it easy. Great attitude. She makes all her student's believers because look at what they made! WOW!
she is a very fun instructor and I could listen all day to her pronunciations. I hope the opportunity arrises...I know she is coming back in 2018 to Sisters and I have already signed up!!!
it is true what they say...there is no place like home but we are already planning and itching to hit the road, LOL...a couple of wandering souls...+ dog
Jen is all about the riot of color. The workshops offered at the Stitchin' Post are amazing. Jean and Val have done a fantastic job of bringing bucket list instructors to our area.
OMG! I believe I just found a new designer to follow. Thank you so much for filming and posting this video. Up in Canada, Ottawa, we have a few good LQS, but rarely have classes with such designers and authors...as the cost is just too high. I always thought Puducha was the place to visit but now I'm thinking Sisters! The Stitching Post is unbelievably stunning. Thanks again.
I know!!! I love her use of the English language and pronunciations, in this case she literally meant a cup of tea and actually took a piece to the back kitchen and dunked it in a cup of tea to show how to change the tone of a fabric you might love.
What a great video Anna! How I wish I could have been there and what a special shop you have near you! Many, many thanks for taking the time to record this lovely class.
Quilt Roadies your shop is awesome too! We don’t have a large quilt community in NY so for the most part, I have been working in isolation and through RUclips and Instagram- after seeing this I think I will take the Small World Quilt Class that is being offered at my nearest quilt shop. Thanks again! And please keep sharing.
Thank you Anna for this video. I enjoyed the close up of Jen`s quilts. The Stitchin Post seems to be a very inspiring store. I wonder who makes all the sample quilts?
The samples are made by several of the employees including Annette who was rearranging the bolts! They have a couple of designated long arm quilters who finish it up....Jen is a gem!
What beautiful beautiful quilts, they made my heart sing ❤️👍....Anna did you have your pen through a button drawing around the template?. Thank you for introducing Jen..her explanation on how she chooses fabric was very interesting.
I know...I loved hearing how she puts fabrics together...that is the part of making a Jen Kingwell quilt that scares me...how do you put together all those different fabrics. I explained it to Cakers yesterday and it made even more sense. It is a little brace drafting button which measures a perfect quarter inch when run around a template. The Stitchin post sells them and OMG are they ever a handy little tool for easily adding the quarter inch!
Did Jen talked about the acrylic templates for EPP?? It’s a problem to try to find them. When a store has some, it’s not written wath size goes with what!
I loved your class! You are lucky. I have a question what were you using with your marking pencil to trace around the template? Thanks for your videos Cecelia
you know it is a little round brass drafting tool...pencil guide...you put your pencil or pen in the center of the circle and run it along your ruler and it lines a perfect quarter inch seam around your template!!! Fantastic...they sell them at the Sitchin Post so you can order one :)
Hi, I love the quilt Jen held when she said, "This is the one Sue liked, this is the one that started it all." Would you happen to know that quilt pattern name?
Oh, Anna, I was so sad to hear your comments about Batiks. I love them and if you don't, that is fine, but you were so adamant about it, I found it distressing---
oh I hate to cause you distress...I am really allergic to them. What ever chemical is used to create the beautiful fabrics activated my asthma and caused my hands to dry out and peel when I was ironing a kit I made. The quilt came out beautiful...I did not. So I have steered clear ever since...although my Fabric Stalker group are all batik lovers.
Beautiful pieced quilts such talent.
I love this shop too! I'm so glad to have been able to visit it many times.
I have to comment again. Jen's work, her patterns and her teaching is amazing. And she say's it easy. Great attitude. She makes all her student's believers because look at what they made! WOW!
Absolutely the truth!
OUTSTANDING ON THE QUILTS....FANTASTIC

Just found Jen Kingwell, and, in turn, you. Fabulous video of such a special day. Just whets my appetite for more of Jen Kingwell. Thanks so much!
I hope I get to take a class with Jen sometime. She is so delightful and her quilts are amazing. Thank you for sharing.
she is a very fun instructor and I could listen all day to her pronunciations. I hope the opportunity arrises...I know she is coming back in 2018 to Sisters and I have already signed up!!!
WOW! THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC
I limited my visits...it is only about 3 blocks from me and is a dangerous place, LOL
Looks like y'all had a blast on your trip. I'm sure you're happy to be back home and at your own shop taking class. Beautiful quilts.
it is true what they say...there is no place like home but we are already planning and itching to hit the road, LOL...a couple of wandering souls...+ dog
Wow! Such lovely colors and patterns . Looks like you all had a blast. Thank you for taking me along through this video.

you must plan a trip to Sisters...it is amazing the designers and instructors that Jean and Val bring to the Stitchin' Post!
oh,,,,my,,,,goodness! she's so awesome! and I loved when she said "that one with the white background,,,I'd give that a cup o' tea" great video, Anna!
I know!!! I love her use of the English language and pronunciations, in this case she literally meant a cup of tea and actually took a piece to the back kitchen and dunked it in a cup of tea to show how to change the tone of a fabric you might love.

Thank you Anna! I am loving every minute of your video blog. I've started a list of must visit quilt shops. #1 The Stitchin Post in Sisters.
I am so glad to hear that! We have got to get out there and support our independent shop owners! Besides isn't it like Disneyland for Quilters, LOL
This was a very inspiring video! Thanks for sharing.
she is one of my favorite teachers

Where can I purchase the fabric that looks like graph paper that blocks are hung on at the end of the video?
no clue but if you google graph paper fabric it will come up with all kinds of options...happy hunting
I love this store i wish i could go to it and check out the displays and fabric. Where are you located at?
Oregon
Did Jen talked about the acrylic templates for EPP?? It’s a problem to try to find them. When a store has some, it’s not written wath size goes with what!
I loved what looked like a Hart on someone's design wall. Do you know what pattern that is???
Sorry, I don't...it is an interesting design that could be drafted. It looks to me like an 8 inch block :)
que suerte la tuya por poder asistir a esa clase .preciosas todo .
¿ que significa el boton es para dejar el margen de costura ? besos

I think the Batiks are beautiful but being a beginner they are a bit more difficult for me. Not sure why.
Hi. I love batiks too. They are awesomely awesome.
