I can't really say Ayton has been disappointing because you know what you're getting with him. If you just only look at his box score, he seems like a perfectly fine starting center. If you watch and look at the advanced stats, it's clear he's holding the team back because he just doesn't go the extra mile ever. The blazers play better when he's not in the lineup. He's the epitome of playing for the bag and nothing else.
I think there were too many changes in one year for him, Butler, integrating 3s, Harris breakout. Probably just gonna be a really dken year for him *Herro not Harris
Nobody in Utah is complaining about Lauri. Utah needs to tank in order to compete. All throughout the offseason our beat writers (Jazz fan here) wrote opinion pieces about how the problem the jazz had was that if they kept Markkanen they might not be able to bottom out. But then they paid him a big old max extension and half our fanbase lost their minds because we felt like we'd be stuck in mediocrity forever. Boy were we wrong! Lauri can just go ahead and mail it in this year and next year- make that money- and be the #3 guy for the Jazz in the waning years of his prime. That's the master plan right now. Nobody is worried about his statistical regression because it shows he's on board with the team's vision.
its so weird bro i thought Scoot would be so much better by year 2 after his tragic year 1, but its so strange, he has really random good games just like today against the bulls and really terrible ones. I still strongly believe in him and think he will be a star in the league when portland figure out what they are doing in terms of coaches and players, and he sorts out what kind of player he wants to be
Agree with PWill being the most disappointing for Chicago. I think Giddey needs more time to settle and yes he’s had disappointing moments but he’s still shown more than some of the others on the roster. His passing has unlocked the offence for us at stages. Coby has been disappointing as well
Booker is proving what I thought he was and that he's a 2nd option on a contender. Sun fans attest Booker is following KD's "chill" mentality, shows he's more of a follower than a leader. Booker willingness to take a step back in the Olympics while not inherently bad, but not the mentality you want from a no.1 option
@@liamcannon9617 Jaylen browns stats are the same as last year but a lil better. Idk about efficiency wise but he shouldn’t be a disappointment unless folks expected him to be some 30 ppg scorer lol
KCP's been fine for the Magic tbh. A lot of good shots just weren't falling at the start of the season but he's really picked it up. His defense and hustle is incredible, too. He's really bought into being a part of Orlando's future and we like him over here, even if it wasn't the greatest start
Bam gets a pass for playing like absolute shi. Bro is a 3 time NBA all star center averaging like 15 ppg on 45% from the field. Bro might actually fell off, cause its not like is just inconsistent, he literally plays bad most of the games. The heat should comfortably be a Top 6 seed if he would remember how to play basketball.
I think it has something to do with him shooting 3s (which I think he should've developed years ago), the Jimmy Butler drama is what affects him along with the fact that he already reached his limit as a scorer at this point he's more of a 3rd option to the team at best and keep in mind he's more of a PF than a C and I feel like the heat just couldn't find their big man that could fit well into their system until they found Ware
It pains me to say this as a Rockets fan, but Jabari Smith Jr. hasn't shown enough yet imo why he was worthy of a top 3 selection (but similar to JG, there's time). Mind you I don't agree with most NBA fans who think Jabari's a draft bust, and whenever I watch this young Rockets core play and grow together this season, I've seen Jabari make some nice plays here and there, most notably on the defensive end with some high energy blocks. But even with all of that, he's still been massively disappointing. Did anyone come into this season thinking Tari Eason would comfortably hold the starting 4 job? Also while this post isn't about Jalen Green (a player that I think gets massively over-hated), why is it that we are so ready to jump down the throat of JG for not being consistent, when the guy is 22 years old and has at least proven late into the year that he can give you all-star caliber scoring? With JG, we want him to do this all year and that's fair, but at the very least he's flashed that potential of both athleticism and high volume scoring that made him go #2 overall. Even Amen Thompson took a nice leap that I wasn't fully expecting yet, and I think while he still has to develop as a full time playmaker, he's already making us consider trading Fred Van Fleet. Both Amen and Jalen have passed the "eye test" so far. But with Jabari... it's just depression fuel. Not only was he considered in 22' to be the #1 consensus throught that process, but he was also being given comparisons to be the next KD based on his scoring potential at Auburn. Paolo Banchero was mocked to us at #3 as a "consolation pick", and injuries aside Banchero looks like one of the future faces of the NBA already. I haven't seen Jabari Smith Jr. wow me with any crazy highlights besides certain high level plays here and there. For 2 off-seasons now, we've seen him play in the summer league and dominate dropping games with 40+, only to go out into the regular season and average 11 points a game... It's such an odd position to be in as a Rockets fan because even with everything I just listed, I STILL see potential for him to develop into a high caliber player if given enough of a chance, but the sad reality is that this might just be a case of bad team fit. Teams always fear when a guy they picked (like LA with SGA) goes somewhere else and breaks out, but if you also don't make a move during the height of someone's trade value like the Warriors never did with Kuminga, then you have an untradeable money pit. I don't think the Rockets will make a move this season given how well the team is playing, but I do think heading into the off-season, there has to be some sort of legitimate discussion on whether or not you invest into Jabari's stock or just move on, but I think letting him go into next year without a definitive stance is a terrible idea.
Vassell has been coming back into form the past few games, on both offense and defense. Unfortunately the rest of the Spurs have been playing terribly.
I'll probably get hate for this but as a sixers fan they need to trade joel asap while he still has any sort of value left. if he even has any at this point

He’s averaging 15 points instead of 19 and less rebounds while playing worse defense, despite the fact that he should be getting better and Jimmy hasn’t been playing. His box plus/minus has also been the worst it’s been since his rookie year, and his win shares per 48 is his worst ever. It’s also his worst 2 point shooting season of his career, not just 3s, and his worst free throw shooting season besides 1.
