Making this guy out as a mastermind and criminal genius that can escape from anywhere is so ridiculous, Vicki bought the guns, she called him in prison and visited with fake ID, she arranged the cash, the car, the identities, the hotel, the guard to prepare him for transport, the fake appointments, without Vicki this guy couldnt escape from a paper bag when shackled, or from anywhere else in custody when not shackled, he doesnt need extra security, or extra measures to be secure inside prison, he barely did a thing but said hell yes lets go. Stop making excuses for her actions not taking up for him he intentions for her to fall in love him but it takes two to tango, Anyone know the details of the murder of mrs ridgeway?

This whole situation is just sad and truly has no winners here. For almost two weeks the media portrayed this man as a heartless monster yet for me when I saw a fugitive armed to the teeth able to have a full out shootout give himself up peacefully knowing where he was going back to more worried about the woman he loved getting the immediate help she needed and more concerned for her well-being and seeing the sadness in his eyes in the latest mug shot is just sad. I’m not saying he shouldn’t hold accountability for his past crimes but we are talking about a mentally ill man who’s crimes were committed in the throes of a meth addiction. To me there was a reason Vicky was willing to risk and throw away everything for him over every other criminal she came in contact with she wasn’t a dumb woman who would allow something purely sexual overtake her. Love doesn’t always happen in the ideal circumstances and to me after seeing everything this is one of those cases. You can’t help who you fall in love with that’s the beauty of it and I’m just sad for everyone involved in this

I don't understand why she felt that they would magically be able to get back to the hotel in the middle of a police chase. Also, with all of that law enforcement training, she knew better. She planned this poorly ahead of time.
If I was trying to get away, I would have gone about 25 miles away in another direction and ditched the car and uniforms. She had a hotel already rented out. Get an Uber back to the hotel. Ideally, you would have done this before any alarm was sounded at all about the jail escorting, as in within the first hour you'd already be back to the hotel. The hotel would have been planned ahead of time to be neara small freight train yard. I would have had freight train rail lines already researched and knew where each line headed. Hop one going North or West. Camp out in the woods during the day and hop at night. Bring food and water with you that won't spoil, in a single large backpack. Hop off when it's pulling into a yard slowly. You can get 2-3 states away in a single day if you get on the right trains. I watch hobos who make videos for fun on youtube and they know the routes very well and travel throughout the USA on them yearly. One has ridden like 3 million miles in over 30 years and in various countries. Grainer cars have literal holes that you can crawl into and be hidden from the outside world - even for someone his size. Not sure if she would have fit.
They could have gone to Mexico and would have been waived right in. Extradition from there is iffy, meanwhile you have time to escape to another country via boat. Your destination would be a non-extradition treaty country. Live there, find new jobs, etc.

The murder of Carol Ridgeway was an unsolved case for years until, out of nowhere, Casey admitted to it. That put in motion his transfer back to the County jail (he had been in state prison for other charges that he'd been convicted of already and was serving 75 yrs). That occurred in 2020 and allegedly that's when Casey and Vicky began their, "special relationship". After his arraignment on the capital murder charge (murder of Carol Ridgeway) he was returned to state prison and, unbeknownst to authorities, he and Vicky were communicating the entire time. In February of 2022, Casey was once again transferred back to the County Jail where Vicky worked to ultimately go to trial for the capital murder of Carol Ridgeway. But Vicky and Casey had other plans and she helped him escape before the trial even began. So, in addition to still facing the capital murder charge, last night he was also arraigned on a felony escape charge. If convicted of the felony murder charge, Casey could get the death penalty in Alabama. Hope that helps. BTW, you and I are sisters in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ!
