Poor Wu, he's been through a lot what with eating the Adalind's cookie (zaubertrank meant for Hank), Getting exposed to the yellow plague, bitten by a zombie & now confronting a childhood boogyman. Maybe if it had been a less scary Wesen, but the Aswang are the stuff of nightmares.
True. I think Aswang is the creepiest and most scary looking wesen in this entire show. You definitely don't want this wesen to be your introduction to the wesen world.
- Adalind's baby = 😬
- Wu not being told the truth = 😡.
- Seeing Wu lose his mind = 😞.
Wu to me is like Monroe. They both have their quick little funny one liners but also take things seriously when the time is right. They both are good people and are supportive of their friends. They got yo back!
Poor Wu. I wanted him to know the truth. He's in the field with Hank and Nick, you'd think it'd be a great idea to clue him in so he'd be, at least, somewhat prepared to react just in time to whatever comes his way instead of being a deer caught in the headlights. I wanna hug Wu 😔.
Personally, I think Wu has better one liners over Monroe. Not by a great margin either, it's only a slight lead.
This was the first episode of Grimm I ever saw. I was hooked.
Adalinds Baby is out, and Wu going over the Edge... I still kinda struggle with Nick deciding not to tell Wu, but I can understand his reasoning a Bit.

Interestingly Reggie Lee (Sargent Wu) was asked about "fairy tales" from his culture, and he is the one that brought up the Aswang.
I understand Hank respecting Nick, Monroe, and Rosalee's opinion on telling Wu because Rosalee & Monroe are the Wesens & Nick is the Grimm, it's kind of "thier secret" to share I suppose. I loved this episode & was creeped out by the Aswang, the ending surprised me though, made me really feel bad for Wu. Interestingly, I rooted for Wu finding out because I love a reveal, but after seeing the ending I think it's best he doesn't know. Seeing the Aswang, which to be fair is a childhood monster for him, put him in a psychiatric hospital, so would knowing for sure it's real . . . would that help or do even more damage? It really makes it fascinating & makes for great TV. Love this show! Thanks for the uploads Dakara, hope you're having a great week.
Wu is such a good character this was a good episode too even tho its more monster of the week then main story its still a important episode :D
The thing that we all forget about when we think that people (Hank, Juliette, and now Wu) should be brought into the know, is that once they know they will wonder if every person they meet is a Weson. Nick has the advantage of being able to see them and know they are a Weson, and most times know what type, but for the normal people, everytime they meet a new person they'd be wondering. And for Hank and Juliette, it's not just new people, they both found out that one of their best friends was a Weson, luckily one of the 'good' ones, but still without Nick to tell them yes he/she is a Weson, or not, the question would always be there. The paranoia would become unbearable.
So glad you're still getting this out on you tube. I know it takes more of an effort but this is such a good, underrated series that no one does. As always a fun "terrifyin" react 😆
Wu is such a good cop. He is one of my favorites, and Monroe is another.
as a Filipino and a fan this was one of my Favorite ep.
While Wu knows the story of the Aswang he does not believe the reality of the Aswang. This is why being confronted with the reality and seeing the Aswang revert back to someone he knows breaks his brain. Hank's introduction was more gradual and Juliet became aware when trying to make sense of why all her memories of Nick were gone. all of this can be discussed while having a meal with Rosalie, Juliet, Monroe, Hank, and Nick and discussing how to handle Wu. Other topics of conversation can be how the Nyad are doing, The Muse's relationship with the artist son of one of Juliet's patient's owner's mothers, and the Wolf Wesen girl that was living in the woods. The Royal's Hexenbiest is attempting to modify the so she can use it to locate Adalind. Once again I leave Adalind out of the episode, but the Royal is very interested in locating Adalind because of the child and the money she stole from them. Sean has the DNA of premature infants abandoned or found dead sent to him to compare against his own DNA.

See I never understood why anyone like Hank could see Wu going through this and not tell him the truth. Hank thought he was crazy and was relieved when he learned the truth. Why not share that truth and give Wu that same piece of mind? Like you, I see this both ways. However I'd only show Wu the Ice Beavers and Rosalie, not Monroe. ✌️
Well, that was Monroe's concern in particular - that an aswang was not a good one to start with. I get Nick, Monroe and Rosalie saying that they didn't want to say anything until it was absolutely necessary, but once Wu was attacked, he should've been told.
@@karensteimle1977 Agreed. Starting with the Ice Beavers and ending with Rosalie. Save Monroe for a year after getting used to those.
