Choppy Gnar at Kirkwood (1/3/2023)

Was a super fun day at Kirkwood! Snow started a bit solid and choppy under a thin-ish layer of fresh pow, but it quickly softened up beautifully. When the backside opened up, it was some of the nicest smooth powder I have skied in a while.

Great video! Would love to head up to Kirkwood this season as I haven't been at all but it looks like this storm's going to keep me down in the bay until my college's winter break is over! 😭

Yeah, somewhat, it wasn’t too wet on top but it was a few inches of fresh pow over a lot of pow from a few days earlier, so in some places it was solid and choppy just below the surface but in other areas it was pretty deep and awesome
