Happens with a lot of champions. Jhin originally was meant to look like a robot for instance, in fact High Noon Jhin is actually inspired from one of Jhin's early prototypes. There were also concept arts of Lillia where she was blue and yellow and would dual-wield some sort of spear-like weapons. Sett's original drafts also included a robot-butler or an Asura-like demon, reworked Mundo had a concept where he looked like a regular skinny man with one arm turned into a writhing mass of body parts (and also the cursed Dr. Mhando but we don't talk about that monstruosity) it would be interesting to see how they would've been accordingly to different concept arts.

Its just awesome that Riot got the Band Wardruna to use one of their new Songs for the Volibear Remake. The Band got popular thanks to series like "Vikings". Me as History- and Gamingnerd, this touches my Heart on two ways. ^^
It's actually not by Wardruna. It is composed by Austin Wintory who made soundtracks for games like Journey, Abzü, the vocals are sang by Einar Selvik from Wardruna.

As I said, Volibear represents the shadow of the personality, and when the shadow is undisciplined and unincorporated, then it would behave something like Volibear does in the lore. The archetypical path is to discipline and incorporate the shadow. Pantheon is a great example of someone who incorporated the shadow. To me, this song communicates that I have such a shadow and that I should integrate it. If this song means something else to you, that's fine.

This song reminds me of the extreme power a human is capable of reaching through all natural means if they are willing to make the right sacrifices to better their health and soul. The fire of a great warrior lies in the soul of every human being who is willing to strive forward against the suffering and malevolence of the world. The more a human being voluntarily confronts chaos, suffering, and malevolence, the mightier that human being becomes, with the potential of becoming an absolute beast filled with pride and valor who aims to achieve the highest good and to better all of mankind.

Volibear represents the shadow of the personality, and the archetypical path regarding the shadow is to incorporate it, to control it, to strengthen it, and to use it for good, hence the description. That is what this song communicates to me.

Volibear in the lore fights out of ego, arrogance, and undisciplined anger. I would not say he fights out of pride.
As I said, Volibear represents the shadow of the personality, and when the shadow is undisciplined and unincorporated, then it would behave something like Volibear does in the lore.
The archetypical path is to discipline and incorporate the shadow.
Pantheon is a great example of someone who incorporated the shadow.
To me, this song communicates that I have such a shadow and that I should integrate it.

I love Einar his voice is so calm and powerful at the same time.

Im super happy that they keep making themes for each new champ or rework :D I dont mind about loginscreens like most of people commenting here. I think that see actual development throught concepts art is far more interesting than a loop animation
