No way a German bank would allow someone to make this big of a transaction without blocking it until the account owner clears it.
I had to do that when I bought a top of line musical instrument via online banking even, bank to bank, not bank to payment processor, and even bank to bank I had to clear that limit.
So, unless this guy does this kind of stuff on the regular, or has cleared his transaction limit, its unlikely that it was an accident.
