- I know I usually translate Korone and Okayu clips, but this really hit different. There's a lot of shit out there in the world, but in this moment, despite all the difficulties, the love and support they showed each other is one of Hololive's biggest strengths in my opinion. Not Hololive as a company, but Hololive as the people in it.

Yeah! i read it and went "UH OH!" ... but as soon as they finished that round with the mod, i see Miko change it to normal mode so Ollie con play it without troubles.
Apparently the problem was the vpn, they need to use it for the mod but Ollie dc because of it

So for specifics about the problem Ollie was having, they were using a mod for proximity chat, but the way the mod works requires a relay through a US-based VPN connection. The JP girls and Irys didn't have any issues because Japan ISPs are beefy, and Kiara had a bit higher ping than usual but that was all, but Ollie's SEA internet just couldn't handle it and streaming at the same time, and even just playing the game caused the issues that the clip at the beginning shows (0:30)
So they tried to delay the start of the stream by 30 minutes or so to see if it got better and did whatever they could to help her tech-side, including bringing Suisei in (who wasn't part of the collab originally but had played with the mod before so she tried to help with some of the settings), but they just couldn't get it to work.
But sasuga Elite, Miko didn't want to play without her, so she sent the message to Ollie in Discord to make sure she didn't just go offline (and gave her a good laugh right when she needed it, 0:55) and then had everyone switch back to traditional Discord voice coms to make sure Ollie could join in. Small wonder Ollie was so emotional, all of her senpai (and one kohai) showed just how much they loved and appreciating having her take part.

Appreciate the backstory of the situation. I'm glad things turn out okay, but wow I didn't know the mod would need to work like that. Then again I'm not familiar with exactly how the proximity chat work. I do wish that mod would be consider a real thing to add in Among Us, but I assume it's quite complicated to make it work.

Everyone says how Miko's a rather withdrawn person, but no one has a bad word to say about her, and she seems genuinely moved to action whenever anyone seems to be struggling.
Nobody gets left behind on Miko's watch, not even zombodies.
I have noticed that of all the hololive girls, Miko seems to be the type to always try to make everyone feel welcomed and included. That's not to say the rest of hololive doesn't do that but, she just seems to be 200% when it comes to caring about others. Like when she logged into minecraft right before her stream to support Sora in her minecraft karaoke/concert

I like how IRyS went directly to encourage Ollie to make the echo voice so she wouldn't feel sad for it, and everyones tagged along for it.
Everytime I've seen IRyS collab with someone else, she's always incredibly supportive. Even as a Kouhai to pretty much everyone (except EN2 right now) she's always adding in a "you go girl" or saying what she can to make people more comfortable.

I heard from today Miko's stream, Ollie tell them to play without her but everyone keep supporting her. Kiara and IRyS talked and tried to cheer her up in english. Everyone caring Ollie so much.
And Miko just.. being wholesome as usual. I was watching the stream in Miko POV and she was worried about Ollie so much. The mistranslated message from Miko is a mistake but that funny message is a cute thing that surely cheer Ollie up who can't join the game at the beginning. She also praised Ollie many times and tries to make Ollie comfortable. My God Miko is so sweet and caring. She is a ponkotsu but sometimes that ponkotsu can be so wholesome. This among us stream is full of teetee, wholesome interactions and moments. I love hololive so much :)

She's been doing this for at least 2 and a half years now
When someone need a person to play with.. Miko always make herself available.. even when the time shes on hiatus due to her health problem she still log in to Minecraft to join Aqua (if I remember correctly) since she need someone to celebrate with her.. or the time Pekora need someone to play with and Miko and Suisei made themselves available.. or Korone who said Miko always send her weird funny videos to cheer her up whenever she's sad. Or Pekora saying whenever there's a problem, Miko will always the 1st one to be concerned..
It's easy to miss through the surliness, elite swearing, and other GTA5 antics, but Miko is actually very sweet and caring, both to her IRL friends and co-workers, and to her fans. It's why she was one of my early favorites.
She doesn't speak her trademark Elite English just to be a meme, she's one of the members actively trying to learn English so she can reach out to more people.
The EN tech curse finally decided to travel to Indonesia, I see.
But Hololive has WAY too much love for the curse. They'll turn the curse into the most heartwarming moment of their lives. They have that power.
Also, big ups to Miko. I keep forgetting with her being an Elite memelord that she has a HUGE heart and is extremely graceful to everyone else in Hololive.

I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me recently when I, being an audience member, wanted to play in a game of Phasmophobia with another indy VTuber. I go to start my game, and... it needs an update... a process that takes a good 15 or so minutes to complete. I asked the VTuber to continue without me while I waited for the update to complete. Instead of starting, she insisted (key word here) on waiting for my update to complete. I was floored that she was that willing to allow the gaming to stop on her stream until my game finished updating. Part of me felt bad as I felt I was imposing on her, but at the same time, I was grateful she would do this. Once I was able to interact with her in voice, I apologized profusely for holding up the activities. She said it was no problem, being glad I was even there.
As always, the streamer's word is law. That's even true if that word is, "Don't worry; we'll wait for you. I want you to play with us."
That's awesome! Reading that really put a smile on my face. Another amazing reminder that despite everything, people are very capable of genuine warmth and caring.

It must've meant the world to Ollie with how supportive everyone was to her there. It's just really great to see how connected all of them are despite the fact that they are from different places, have different lives, have different personalities. They are always there for each other when needed
You gotta imagine how crazy it must be for her as a fan to be there, and how genuinely kind they were to her.
This goes beyond being coworkers or anything. These girls genuinely love one another, and that is all that matters.
And in time where we are all at one anothers throats, they are a balm on wounds we are suffering. Granted we need more than them, it is nice to see hearts align in this way.

Just check the archives and if you see people spamming Hearts in chat, it’s most likely to drown out the spam of Antis.
Those people are the definition of losers with no lives. But the nice thing is that the Hololive fandom is one of the most supportive communities I've ever seen, and when the girls take steps to stop the loser spam, everyone is understanding. It's nice.

The collab was really touching at the end. She had internet issues and got disconnected twice I believe. She is the one who worried the most with the haters spamming the girls chat (Miko had to make her chat member exclusive because of the spams) and yet they showed how loved she is, telling her not to worry about it.

Reminds me of the LAN parties we had, there was always one guy that couldn't connect right, then it was on. We would all band together to figure the problem out so that we could all play together as intended. Even if we didn't know the guy we wouldn't start until we got the guy in with us. Comradery like this when a fellow gamer needs help is always awesome.
