    long live detroit diesel! hearing this truck reminds me of the Crown I rode in middle school that had a mid-mounted 6v71 with a 10 speed eaton, it looked old and tired but it could roll coal and haul ass with the best of them

      Those are probably Michelin 48/1400×20's like what my M813A1 and M923A1 have being military trucks.If I'm wrong then it's definitely 53/1600×20's.

      @@jdlawless_fuel1416 They came with 3 models of Detroit's, and 2 types of 3208 Cat motors and of course General motors diesel engines, a real work horse, alot of dump truck guys started buying these in tri axle and tandem back east versus the Kenworth, Mack and Peterbilt trucks, biggest factory motor I've seen in these were the 350NTC Cummins crammed under the hood.

    Are those Michelins 48/1400×20? Or 53/1600×20? That sounds like a 6V-53T and not a 4-53T like some actually had straight from General Motors.
    I'm not being a smart ass but aren't those the Kodiak? But other than that obviously it's the same exact truck.

    • @josephcox1811
      @josephcox1811 3 года назад +1

      I have a C-50 and it came with a 4-53 Detroit and Spicer 5spd with a vacuum 2spd rear axle, it's a 1968 and still gets the job done, there is room for a 6V-92TA as I plan to install, most C-Series trucks came with a 291L, 350, 366, 454, in gas, but you could opped for a 4-53N, 4-53T, 4-53TA, 6-V71N, 6-V71T, 3208N or a 3208T which are rare, usually the diesel versions were for fire chassis or government vocational chassis's.
