I feel your pain I ran an old car and spent loads chasing a problem and it was simple… have you changed your gas tank … I had an original in and a big bit of rust would randomly float over the pick up pipe and block it … think about cleaning your tank out .. I took mine off and filled it with nuts and bolts and shook all the rust out ran some petrol through it and put it back on never had a problem again .. love your channel keep your chin up

Great advice, same problem on my dad’s truck. We replaced the gas tank, fuel lines, and filter. Problem is gone.

Well hopefully everything works out with the van. It's good you want to document the setup of the apartment and van so it's easier for you. Very fortunate you saw a roadrunner.
I really think you have one of three problems. 1: Vapor lock of fuel system caused by under hood heat and probably missing insulation on fuel lines. 2: the rubber parts of the fuel lines may be internally collapsing under suction once the fuel gets warmed and the lines get hot. 3: fuel tank strainer partially clogged by old fuel residue and the remaining part of strainer becoming completely clogged by debris floating in tank being stirred up by movement. Here is what I would do as a troubleshooting measure. Install a mechanical fuel pressure gauge (harbor freight) monitor pressure while van is doing good,running properly, as soon as it starts acting up compare the pressure to the pressure when it is functioning properly. Sorry this is so long winded

if your fuel pump is over heating, that might explain why it started happening in may or whenever, because outside temps were rising, and why its not really happening now. Keeping your fuel tank full when its warmer would help to insulate the pump, but if the pump does go out, then you have a full tank of gas to drop at 8lbs per gallon to swap in a new pump. If it shuts down again on a long trip or a warm day then it might be worth considering replacing the pump.
So many mechanics and still got no answer, and some of them I would never go back too. But, I'm glad you got the van back.

It sounds like Bertha may have something heating up & shorting out . I've seen crank sensors & pick up coils do this . When they cool down they make contact & function normally until they decide to short again. This makes them hard to diagnose . I hope this helps you . Stay safe , you rock!!

I loved the originals, ate them up like chocolate, when I was a teen.
It killed me how they ruined that series in the same way they did to The Terminator movie.
The best move might be to part ways with Bertha. Your driving a modified van that was converted to propane. Then converted back to gasoline, I'm assuming..
During the conversions, something was left out and that's an issue that will linger as you continue to use Bertha. Sometimes it's a small thing that can accumulate over time.
Take my Ford F150 for example.
The truck lost power and it would take forever to get up to speed. I changed the spark plugs, the air filter. The different engine sensors. Nothing worked. Sometimes only temporarily.
Upon further investigation. It turns out their was a carbon canister at the back of the pickup that was clogged with dirt. It connects to a block of sponge that acts as a filter. Also clogged with dirt. If you want to come to terms with Bertha, you will have to be your own mechanic or replace it with a newer vehicle.
Something not modified hopefully.
if there was debris in the tank the strainer and filter would pick it up.
not able to duplicate the issue means they didn't push her hard enough, or as hard as the user is.
im sticking to my og dio bad maintenance caught up and she needs a way to cool down faster as to not overhead everything. one reading with a heat gun will tell you how hot it gets in there.
Another user here pointed to rust in the (bottom) of the tank.
So either clean it out, or change it out (lines too, while you are at it).
if/when your van has the same issue, videoing it is a good idea. You might also try doing a youtube live stream as well where mechanically inclined individuals may be able to help you diagnose your issue/eliminate possibilities in real-time.
The problem with the debris(rust) theory is that the entire fuel tank can be full of rust. Takes dropping the entire tank and cleaning or replacing it.
It's amazing to me how long people are willing to wait for a parking space that they think is opening up (like for a vehicle with someone sitting in the driver's seat), just to avoid walking an extra 50 feet.
And then they will walk 2000 feet once they enter the store.

It sounds like an intermittent battery connection some of the Dodge vans have poop grounds and even a real Weed Spencer sensor and wheel
yes, bad grounding elsewhere such as some of the modules.... but not at the battery connection...
Time for a sweet engine and transmission rebuild, bro 😅. In all seriousness, it really seems to be heating issue, or timing issue when under load (acceleration).

regardless its an old vehicle the rubber in your engine and transmission will need rebuilt, you will still keep having problems, especially chrysler manufactured vehicles, Anything rubber on the engine replace it, being a mechanic is about preventative maintenence not oh if its not having a problem it isnt a problem thats ignorant, you can never be too careful with a dodge. if you ever want to do an engine swap those promasters are great for that.
Could be your gas gauge?make sure you keep track of how much gas you put in and how many miles you are traveling

Preferably one u can get reviews of.
If u have the nextdoor app near u, that's a good place to check.
That way hopefully they can possibly get to it quicker.

Make sure you have AAAPlus and hit the road. Perhaps at first make the distance between stops shorter, dont stray super far, and see if she acts up. Also keep an eye on the outside temperature vs how the van runs. 👍

So listening to your other video and this. That it randomly breaks down and you don't get any type of codes. This van is early 2000s to late '90s? If you're not getting a code and it's randomly breaking down after you drive it for a couple hours and it heats up. I'm going to be pointing to your computer. It's called the ECM engine control management. This was a hard one to diagnose because of the diodes and whatnot in the computer. But I would go straight for that. locate it. Remove it. bring it, well first 😅 locate some one that can fix it. Or just buy one after someone diagnosed it.
Edit ... LMAO oh YT....try this under the hood. In fuse box. There is a relay called. Auto shutdown relay. Try switching that out with AC relay.

I’m in Australia, but does your van have OBD2 (diagnostic plug) under the dash. It appears that it does. If it can be connected by an auto electrician, it could tell you what is causing the problem if it’s a sensor like the PC127.
As it’s an old van, it eventually will be solved eventually just be gradually by replacing parts, but this may take a long time. (My son and I both know this having spent 45 and 15 years on old cars). Each time you replace a part, that’s one less thing that can be wrong. So each step is taking you closer to success. My daughter’s car took 4 excellent mechanics before the fifth one, an auto electrician solved it.
So my first suggestion is auto electrician. My second suggestion is (again I’m in Australia) to take it to a mechanic who is more Dodge specific as it may be something common to Dodges.
But most importantly, look after your mental health. I am a dad, I have a daughter. You will have success with the van again.

I had a mesh filter in my carburetor where the fuel line came in that was clogged. New filter and the stalling problem went away.

Bertha obviously has congestion issues: but she is getting better. In all the years that I have lived; I have learned that Vans and Cars don't care about pronouns. She is Bertha....and cool and part of Your identity! In all my YEARS, and there are a lot of them, I found that YOU will know when it is time to part with your vehicle. Only you will know. Moving out is a good thing. You will handle it when it is time. It is better If you do move out now because the summer of 2023 was Purgatory in Texas. Reg: Walmart....uh....there are arguments that Aliens live and shop at Walmart. just saying ✌🤠
