@@affliction2k02they only say so because he uses heavy influences in his music. A lot of it i can hear Depeche Mode, and since they were apart of the pioneers in synth music, they are held in a higher regard. I’m unsure of most of akiras influences but thats one I know for sure. But he’s not a hack by any means.
Though he’s definitely not, by fact, a legendary musician. but he can be to the people and that’s okay, there’s plenty of music to love.
@@Grapejuice190a lot of his music is sampled, too. I guess some people have a problem with that. He uses samples in a good way.

Hate to burst your bubble but check out Distored Realities and Bizarre Guitar by spectrasonic and you’ll realize that most of his tracks are heavily sampled off these cds.

@@BLCKCSTLSyou're not bursting any bubbles. A lot of different games and game composers sampled off of distorted realities. The fact Yamaoka was able to take something so many had used and impose his own vision and sound on it is definitely a testament to his skill as a producer and composer
