I'm not really an expert in nuclear craft, but I did have to use the mod quite a bit for Compact Claustrophobia and Feed the Factory. The ai website for that version of NC essentially allows you to build a perfect reactor. You input the type of fuel, the coolers you want to use, and it will run all simulations/setups possible with those inputs. Most often you have to build multiple reactors to use as breeding reactors. The site also allows you to optimize for breeding (higher fuel usage) or for power. It also lets you set the net heat you are looking for so you can let them run passively. If you want a better explanation of the site, look at gaming on caffeines playlists and look for the Feed the Factory and Compact Claustrophobia episodes about the reactors and he shows visuals of those. I've not yet explored if the new version of NC has a similar website or if they use the same one.
So basically, when you have a nuclear reactor and it gets hotter, it runs faster because there is more energy in the system. The higher temperature is the cause for the higher heat multiplier. This is also why we can have fissile materials in a stable state in some temperatures, but said material will go critical when heated/ pressurized/ put in a different state.
You can make the Fusion Reactor with fusion glass when you click in multiblock info on P:0. It is much cheaper than making it with all of the 70 casings
I'll use glass wherever possible, it's cheaper as you say but also it's less blocks to change when I upgrade it, but I'm sure I'll still need some casings anyway.
I knew there was something I was missing. I was gonna do this eventually for the quests, so I guess now is as good a time as any, but it's still annoying to know that there was something so simple I missed. Thanks for the tip, I'll use that next time.

Thaumium was lucky that he melt a nuclearcraft reactor and not a gregtech one

Oh, that makes sense. I doubt I'll need to worry about the complex materials in future, and all of that stuff will go way over my head anyway.
The cryotheium passive cooler can’t handle Heu/Hen or any fuel that is highly enriched, but it can handle Leu/Len or anything that is lowly enriched

how do i get old quest system cause the new is suck
Mine never switched. Are you in 1.20? That's the only thing that might have changed it.
@@Thaumiumking9 yes
you cold have gotten plutonium from centrifuging uranium dust which you get by processing uraninite

Or you macerates red granite block but I don’t know if it exists
