I gained confidence while watching you toil through the disassembly and reinstall, and was able to source the used part and finished my own repair today. Thanks for making this video! i gotta do this for my Lexus ES300 this weekend. NOT looking forward to it but I was not looking forward to paying someone else to do it either. Got my regulator and motor off ebay for $86 or so.
@@jeffbohn2576 it went really good. Easy installation thanks to the video. It lasted about a year and a half. Ended up having other major issues with the car so no longer have it. I was glad to find this video tho. Saved me a ton of money.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
There are 2 stoppers up near the top of the door frame - 1 in the front, one in the rear of the door. There are yellow round stoppers that are attached to the window glass. You can adjust the stoppers on the door that will determine how high the glass rolls up. Took me forever to figure this out! How do you aligh the glass to the regulator? As you mentioned, those 3 glass bolts sire do have alot of play? How did you get it right the 1st time? It is so difficult to get it just right so it will close tight enough not letting water in, and loose enough so the glass won't hit the body seal around the door.
I’m late to this video but will post some useful info any way for the next guy… You just align the center of the bolt to the center linen on the metal plate. And there’s no need to remove the glass from the door or remove the yellow stops…it all fits in the access hole just as it’s supposed to sit…top first push all the way up put in the motor then bottom then pull down and bolt it up…simple.

I have a problem with the window hitting the upper door frame when closing the door with the glass up.

Take a scribe and outline the position of the washers on the 3 nuts before you unbolt the window. Then put them back in the same spot there were.

My 97' Lexus ES 300 .. I can't open my driver door. How do I remove the door panel then??? Please any suggestions are appreciated :(
