All characters are AI generated and are not real people. No characters are based on real people. All situations, events, scenarios, superpowers, time travel, werewolves and scenes are entirely made-up using AI. This is all a work of fiction created for entertainment purposes only. None of this is true. None of this is real. Skynet and other fictional nuke launching super computers/pesky software are also not real, and if they are, then good luck suing me if most of the world has been obliterated.
Thank you for this one ... I thoroughly enjoyed the listen.
Wow what a perfect book thank you
A cautionary tale? I will have to mull this story over a bit and get back to you on what I think of it later, okay? Thanks for sharing this story with me
Wonderful story.
It's interesting how we allow the idea of being "perfect" to influence our life choices. The idea we have to meet specific expectations in order to deserve love, a career, or happiness. How the Artist continued to improve everything around him, but himself. Relizing his lack of self-worth was the problem, but focused on numbing the pain of doubt with things and Jason.
"You're not broken. But, I can't fix you." A suprisingly accurate statement. People look to others. His constant need to "improve" or "better" Jason instead of growing or changing himself. Because it's easier to focus on others needs. Developing a savior complex. Because directing any attention to ourselves is seen as selfish or seems like an insurmountable challenge, because we are very aware of all our flaws.
But, contentment and acceptance was found in the end. I guess the question remains, what steps would the Artist take to make a more fulfilling life for himself? Now that he understood he had the power to change his circumstances not through his drawings and fleeting wants. But, through actual choices and actions.
What's crazy is I think you better understand the point I was trying to make than I do.
@gAyIstrange As someone who dealt with similar tendencies (I'm doing fine now mental health wise), your story did an amazing job of capturing the unhealthy steps we take when in a dark place and failing to get help or make a change in our lives to break our cycle of depression.
Instead, pouring all our attention into others or seeking out a relationship thinking that will heal or fix us, because "love" I guess.
nagyon szépek gyönyöru rajzok fiúkrol csak szomoruak nekem ugy tunik elnézést kérek
What Rod Serling could have done with this ... would he have fleshed it out into an episode of The Twilight Zone or an episode of Night Gallery? Arthur Schopenhauer could have had quite a bit to say about this. We will always want more until we learn self denial. We must work for what we have or we simply get bored and are ready to move on to other things. When we get something new we become bored with it as well and are again looking for something new. Rod Serling had an episode of The Twilight Zone where a 1950's mobster is killed in a gunfight with police and wakes up in a hotel. Anything that he wanted would be given to him. All he needed to do was ask Pip (Played by actor Sebastian Cabot). It wasn't long before the mobster gets frustrated and bored and finally says to Pip something to the effect of "I think there must have been a mistake ... I don't think I belong up here (thinking he was in Heaven) ... I think I belong in the other place" And Pip responds "What makes you think this isn't the 'other' place." An absolutely wonderful episode of the original Twilight Zone TV show.
I remember that episode. A very good one.
