Hey Dave, can I ask why you use citrus in with the Magifoam? If my car is really dirty, I put a splash of Zero Decon in with the Magifoam. I've found that with decent protection on the car, it's a case of foam it up, rinse it off, blow it dry and then walk away! Full contact wash down to once a month with the drier weather now! They give me a quick coat of TFR and then it's onto the track and through the car wash with THE ROLLERS TURNED OFF! In and out in under 10 minutes and only £5.

Great video Martin , like we have said before with snowfoam it seems to be a snake oil thing, some people think it's the mutts nuts and other people think it's rubbish and just makes a mess . 200ml per wash that's very expensive , personally a good citrus pre wash works for me. I wash my car once a week wheather it's dirty or not , i enjoy the process and the peace and quiet for a few hours, it helps me unwind and forget about this crazy world we live in !! All the best :)
Interesting video. I tend to only use foam these days when the car is either super dirty or if, like my Defender is right now, covered in dust. The thinking is that blasting it with a jet washer from dry simply drives the dust and grit into the paint and given how soft that Defender is...er..no. The foam tends to remove most of the dust gently and grit around wheel arches etc (Welsh roads are grit central). For a general weekly wash I rarely use foam these days. Horses for courses I guess.

It arrived at the dealers 2 days before the first lockdown started in March 2020. They couldn't get it registered quickly enough so it sat on the bloody forecourt until August 2020. Covered in dirt, birdshit- you name it, because the idiots had removed the transport wrappings. I only used the Magifoam because it came free when I bought the lance. But the level of cleaning you got in this video? I got that same level on my new car! Full 500ml lance bottle coating the whole car. I did email Autobrite to query if that instruction was right and to ask why they couldn't make a more concentrated version but i never got a response. It was another detailer that clued me into the trick. A 500ml bottle gets you 2.5 washes. At £9 a bottle that's £3.50 a wash. But the 5 litre container is £27.99. BTW in your video that compared a chenille pad to a microfibre wash mitt, I commented that I’d ordered one as a wheel wash pad. Didn’t realise how thick they are, so no good at all for the wheels, and I’ve only used my County Detailing pad twice and all the stitching is coming loose. Pressure washers can clean gum and oil that have been stuck on concrete for years so pretty sure they can remove a bit off dirt by themselves it’s not even the protection on the car it’s just the pressure of the water. Hi Martin, brilliant video yet again! Autobrite Magifoam is one of my go to snow foam as I discovered it cleans very well, however I think the instructions could be better on the label. I had great cleaning abilities achieved using only 60-80ml product with 920-940ml water in a lance which capable of holding 1L. And I think it’s enough to do its job well. I did wipe testing as well, beetween APC, Water jet wash and Magifoam side by side and it turned out to be Magifoam was more effective than just jet wash off the panel with water, so I think the protection you applied is a pretty good one, hence your results just using a jet wash itself. I would be interested about your thoughts by using less amount of Magifoam in your lance like 60-80ml and the rest is water, it works well for me and in that case the price could go lower with a fair amount and would be more or less close to others on the market! no Jason, I gave a gallon of it away as not impressed, dilution rates are ridiculous. I haven't a normal foam, still looking for a good one that meets my expectations
Great video. Clearly the product has some affect, as you would hope, but majority of your result down to good LSP. I am put off any product that uses a set dilution in the lance bottle, using a height measure it just ludicrous. For me the ratio of product coming out the lance as per Bilt Hamber PIR is the only way that makes sense. I wish other manufacturers would adopt this approach.
Hi Graham, good to hear fro you. I agree, to say 1 or 2 inches in the bottle is meaningless however all this talk about PIR in my view is just BS and is even more meaningless to the guy that just wants to clean his pride & joy
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I disagree on PIR. The variation between foam lances, the dial setting on those foam lances and the flow rate of different pressure washers is massive. A fixed in bottle dilution just cannot factor that. My old lance and old K2 would flow about 15L to empty a 1L bottle on max foam thickness. Different lance and higher flow washer and I flow only 7L on max thickness. Very different strength product hitting the car if the chemical in the lance is the same measure.
Bit of a funny one Magifoam, sometimes I’ve thought it was amazing and then other times I wasn’t too impressed. I know it’s alkaline and has good cleaning abilities maybe it’s all in how long you leave it etc 👍🏻
Hello Raphael, unlike most detailing RUclips channels I don’t buy products to review. I buy them to use so I only buy what I need. If I see a product that I think may be better than I already have then I buy it to try on the channel. At the moment I don’t see anything in the autobrite range that I feel would be an improvement to what I already have. I don’t encourage freebies and most brands don’t want to send me products to review as I give an honest opinion and throw them in the bin if they don’t do what they boast. But I will keep looking at the autobrite range in case I see a product I think could be worth having. Hope that explains my channel a bit for you. Have a great Christmas and a happy & safe new year

I only fill the bottle to 500ml so use half the product. I find 500ml is plenty to cover the car. They did say 1-2 inches which equates to 100-200ml with the bottle filled to 1 litre so with a 500ml mix, 50ml should have worked fine and then its decent value.

I bet it's still all over your driveway, out of all the snow foams lingering in my garage I do think it cleans well because of its dwell time. It is cheap in the Autobrite sale but as you say way too expensive if you buy 500 MLS. Great video as always Martin.
I quite like magifoam, but if you don't get the concentration levels correct it sticks around on the drive for bloody hours. I would rather be given a dilution rate or millilitres as you point out bottle size matters.
Yes I found it a little frustrating. It would make more sense to give a real dilution rate and not 1-2 inches as it could mean anything but it did work🤷♂️
I rate this as too good a product not to use because of the price. Simply because it's available in a 5 litre offering that works out close to 75 per cent cheaper per litre against the half litre bottle. I also can't help feeling a gentle snow foam application and gentle rince is a little safer on paint work that is plastered with dirt.

As an apprentice I had to spend time at the end of the day cleaning my craftsman tools and that has always stuck with me. I think I spend almost as long clearing and cleaning after I’ve finished cleaning the car as the car itself
I've not been impressed with any snowfoam, I've got that wax planet one atm seems OK but not sure how much it cleans off compare to just the pressure washer.
If you really aint sure about foam, get yourself a top snow foam - so Magifoam or Bilt Hamber Auto foam - get down to Wilko and buy some plastic decorating sheeting. When your car is filthy, open up the rear door, cover it with the decorating sheet and then close it. Foam the front door and let it dwell. Then rinse it completely off. Next, remove the plastic sheeting and rinse that door off. Leave them to fully dry with absolutely no contact whatsoever. You will THEN see the difference. Clearly. Obviously this is most apparent on a car with absolutely no protection at all if you can get your hands on one.
Martin...you won't find a snowfoam fan boy here...BUT I do have the luxury, at my Unit of having a hot water power washer and use a citrus apc - nothing glamorous, just Sonax Multi...but as you can imagine that'll shift that remaining 10% without snowfoam, protected paint or not. Greetings from Aldershot lol. I too have seen great results from Autobrite foam. I also like Carbon Collective Satsuma, great stuff.
Nice to see a shout out for aldershot!
No far away, not tried that foam. Maybe give it a go
@@marcjarvis3975 Haha indeed, and I hope you use Clean & Shiny at the top of Redan Hill for all your stuff!

@@marcjarvis3975 Good man! I've lived here since 1986 and been into detailing since about 2000. All that time and they were literally on my doorstep! Can't wait for the walk in shop to re-open.....

Hello, and what snowfoam do you think has the best washing capabilities? Thank you
The best one I have tried for cleaning power and value for money would have to be Garage Therapy Snowfoam
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer thank you!
@@laurentiu4120 no problem, hope its of some help
Martin what is your normal snow foam? Bilt Hamber?
no Jason, I gave a gallon of it away as not impressed, dilution rates are ridiculous.
@@gsbut far to much thinking for me. Does it work or not and for me most snowfoams are smoke and mirrors
Bit of a funny one Magifoam, sometimes I’ve thought it was amazing and then other times I wasn’t too impressed. I know it’s alkaline and has good cleaning abilities maybe it’s all in how long you leave it etc 👍🏻
I wish this had a bigger difference between foam & pressure wash but best foam I have used so far
Any difference is wirth it , safer to wash with
Can you test more autobrite products?
Have a great Christmas and a happy & safe new year
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I completely understand. Sounds good to me.
Merry Christmas, God bless you
Hi Martin, I hope your well mate?
I agree with you I brought some way to expensive and was no better than a cheap and cheerful. You can’t beat GT zero in a foamer or my go to is Alien Magic Tsunami snow foam.
How about trying some Alien Magic kit or 26jpn?
Steve I may give that a try. So far I think the best performing snow foam is Zero but its not even sold as a snowfoam🤷♂️
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I fully agree Martin. I just machine polished our VW T6 transporter 2 stage then ceramic coated the front end with autoglanz very very impressed so far. Give Alien Magic products a try go for the mystery box. Always love a surprise
@@Geeky_detail_reviews Now that's interesting Steve, Im thinking of getting a VW Camper. What should I know before I get carried away

No more cake for you Martin when your wife see’s what you’ve used her cotton pads for 😀
don't worry, I put them back in the packet🤣🤣
I only fill the bottle to 500ml so use half the product. I find 500ml is plenty to cover the car. They did say 1-2 inches which equates to 100-200ml with the bottle filled to 1 litre so with a 500ml mix, 50ml should have worked fine and then its decent value.
Thats what I want to play around with now I see it works. Try a few different dilution rates
This magifoam is one of the most unstable products I’ve used ,sometimes it works well , sometimes it doesn’t work at all
that's interesting Audrius
this is magifoam as good as garage therapy snow foam?
Hi Gareth, not in my opinion. You have to use a lot more of magifoam that GTfoam. The GT foam is the best all round foam that I have used
Great video and comparison, for me extra 10% is dirt your not rubbing in with a wash mitt, I'd always citrus then snow foam, protection is always the key ingredient though
I prefer citrus pre wash to snow foam as it actually works🤷♂️
Nice 1 Martin I do like a snow foam but not at that price I usually snowfoam my car about once a month blimey I'd be skint in a year using that stuff great comparison
Hope its of help
Buy the 5 litre bottle Alan. Works out about £1 per application rather than £3.50 with the 500ml bottle.
Just so you know when pressure washing your car you should always start at the top and work down, this will stop dirt and grime going up the door
I think you should do whatever works for you
I use a LOT of their products being local and their custard foam is the same as this with different colouring and smell but its more money which isnt great . Nipping in on Thursday whilst Im at the grandsons around the corner , get some more Hell Shine products whilst selling them off cheap . The instructions are vague on the bottles though
Yep that’s what you need to do get it in their sales. Not competitive i otherwise
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer You may of used too much but again I arent sure if I have a empty bottle here to check but from memory its not clear on them how much to use , I use around 100 ml in my foamer . I believe they do 3 different foams for summer / winter / light uses
I bet it's still all over your driveway, out of all the snow foams lingering in my garage I do think it cleans well because of its dwell time. It is cheap in the Autobrite sale but as you say way too expensive if you buy 500 MLS. Great video as always Martin.
Cheers Patrick 👍
Hi Adrian I defiantly agree you need something to ease the dirt before a contact wash but I cant find a snowfoam that delivers on it promise🤷♂️. This is the closest one to date. Im going to give it a try with less product to see how I get one
Reduced ratio is exactly what I do. It's also got someone kind of rust inhibitor in it which is usful, especially on older cars.
@@adrianlawrence7224 I need to play with it a little to get the right dilution rate. Shame its not clear to autobrite
I don’t like the vague instructions regarding dilution. Good foam but I find it a pain to get rid of it off the drive- it hangs around for ages 😂

I really thought you’d turned your luck with snowfoams and found a good one, this is the one Forensic put at the top isn’t it?, I’ve heard it’s a nightmare for clogging up lances too so I hoped you rinsed yours out well, very old skool dilutions when all bottles were equal 😵💫
Oh how things change eh… on another note, that 303 graphene seems to be doing a cracking job !!
Loving these quick punchy one product reviews 👍
Hi Graeme, yep I have had a lot of positive feedback on the format and enjoy doing them a little more as well. As an apprentice I had to spend time at the end of the day cleaning my craftsman tools and that has always stuck with me. I think I spend almost as long clearing and cleaning after I’ve finished cleaning the car as the car itself
I've not been impressed with any snowfoam, I've got that wax planet one atm seems OK but not sure how much it cleans off compare to just the pressure washer.
well you know my thoughts on snowfoam Josh, Im a foam cynic
Have you tried bilt hamber autofoam, imo the only one that works.
@@ethompson5061 yes mate used bilt hamber, I watched a video where it was compared to wax planet 1 aswell and that was better
When I was mobile, I always found snowfoam dwelled on drives too long or I had to use my time to flush it off the drive. Interesting the yanks have a completely different view on it🤔 ...just plop some of your favourite shampoo in a lance and boom...snowfoam😂
Hi Andy, always so good to get a professional view on these things and really appreciate your time👍. I have a few more products to try out but am almost to the point of using Zero as my Snowfoam as it isn't too foamy but kicks dirt better than any of the dedicated foams I have used. Do you use it as a foam at all ?

still have concerns on how effective snowfoam is ,we talked about this recently.
I am half way though a can of magifoam and for me slightly better results only using it at 50ml and 450ml of water ,so quite thin and drips dirt down .
Maybe need to test with apc and foam on top and see if it holds to paint like some advise.
Only thoughts on that are ,wonder if the foam will dilute apc ?
I can see myself eventually just using a citrus only in the end , I jet wash loose grime off first with whatever I use (at the moment anyway) keep going round and round in circles over all this.
Autofoam or gt for me. I tried magnifoam but the ground ended up like an iceburg ha ha
I don't think it compares to GT Zero but Zero is not sold as a dedicated snowfoam
True. I have a few in work and when a car is dirty I reach for those two. Kkd force is great too.
How vague can 1 to 2 inches be???? Work out a PIR for Christ sake magifoam 🙄 still go back to auto foam or Touchless, I tried some KKD the other day……very disappointed with that 😐
I don’t want a pir I just want to know on the bottle how many ml to a lt. simple as that
I use 500ml of Bilt Hambers Autofoam per wash
And thats the issue I have with BH products Gary

at 200ml its way too much IMO, and yes its sticks around like a drunk outside the chippy on a Saturday night...good cleaning of the drive afterwards though.
agree the dilution is too vague, its the other extreme of BH with their PIR nonsense.... JUST TELL ME 100ML in 900ML of water
yes its good cleaning , but the 500ml bottles are not good value really, it almost forces you to buy the 5l as the cost is more than sensible then.... and even more so on the twice a year sales... when i got my 5l last time.......
I’m with you DavePIR is just trying to make things look technical. It’s BS and just need to say how much like you say. As soon as people start talking to me about PIR I loose interest. Agree buy in the sales or not at all with this product
