yea its phantom feeling i believe i dunno im dumb lol but its where you think the limb is still there humans experience it too when they lose a limb ^^
Yeah! I volunteer with 14 horses one of them only has one eye. The other was removed surgically. He still blinks with both eyes as if there was no difference. He's not really different from the other horses I volunteer with. Other than the fact that he relies on handlers a little more. But it's still amazing to see a horse with no eyes at all. Caspian, the horse I was just talking about, he can still see. Endo can't see anything, but he can still have fun like the other horses he lives with. It's honestly adorable and fascinating.
I’m with you Sophie on that! My gelding had his eye removed in May and it was surprising/super cool to see he still had the blink reflex in the empty socket!
Endo has been an inspiration for me. Been following his story for a couple of years now. He shows that just because a horse maybe banged up a little, doesn’t mean their life should be thrown away.
Endo is such a sweetheart. I live in Oregon, and I see him at the Linn County Horse Fair & Expo almost every year. I've gotten to feed him treats, give him kisses, pet him, etc. He's absolutely amazing and he's such a sweetheart. I look forward to seeing him every year ❤
Keeli Cummings See I hear this. I go every year as I live in Linn county, and when I saw him and her preform it was terrible. I’m sad to say. My family and I were very excited but she wasn’t dressed to preform, (which okay whatever this is Linn county who cares) but then she snapped at the announcer, was rude to the audience, and only rode for 5 or 6 minutes, when she was scheduled for 15 or 20. She had an attitude the entire time and seemed like she was bothered she even had to preform in front of people who were there to support her. Maybe an off day, but either way it was horrible and many people there said that’s how it was previously. Hate to talk bad but it was honestly really bad. I’m glad other people in Linn county have had pleasant experiences.
I’m sure it is mostly thanks to the owner’s work and the horse’s character, but having a disability like that might play a role into bonding and trusting one another on a whole new level. We used to have a lovely horse that was hjust recently dismissed from his racing career after completely ruining his legs from racing his whole life. Because his legs were so damaged he couldn’t flee or defend himself but just strengthened the trust between us more
Blind or not, he’s a stunning horse. The partnership that you have with each other is amazing, you’re so lucky. A lot of people can only dream about being so close to their horse xx
And his owner is a hero to. I can't imagine how much time she must have invested to build up this deep trust and connection they have. (Sorry for my English)
As a retired horse trainer I have to say that not only is this an extraordinary animal but his trainer/rider is extremely talented and dedicated ! My hat is off to both of you!
The connection between them is unique and beautiful to see, thanks for sharing Endos life and progress!! He is a really good guy, it’s not easy to trust anyone that much!!! She has done something astonishing to build that trust. I never thought I would ever see a blind horse jumping over obstacles, that blew me away ❤ A positive role model for all animals that are blind or going blind, maybe more for the owners,,, let the owners see that it IS possible! ❤
Awww , Endo is the sweetest and kindest horse in the world , he is so brave and strong ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I wish him the best of luck , and hope no one hurts him🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
What a beautiful boy, it goes to show that bonding, trust, love and a friendship nothing is impossible. Well done to the both of u and I wish u nothing but the best in the future ❤ ⭐ ❤ ⭐ 💖 ⭐ 💖

It is a late answer but at least it is a answer If you look closely before the zoom in on the jump you can see how she is moving her lips! So i guess he learned to jump due to a voice command like he learned to bow with the word "bow"
I will never understand why voice commands aren't thought of the highest level of horsemanship. To me, it's the gentlest cue possible and shows their intelligence and sync with the person.
Ok, I have to say that Endo is just so beautiful, and I am so grateful to his owner for giving him such a productive and beautiful life! He doesn't have to be perfect to have value!
Oh god, this horse is rlly beautiful - outside and inside, with or without eyes - horses are still awesome creatures and I'll love them till i die, because they are one of my gods
At my lesson barn there is a girl who owns a blind horse named flip but they trust each other so much that they still ride and there really good and he has a miniature pony too
So inspiring..... I salute your compassion towards animals and a very Big THANK to you to helped him to do everything.......... God bless you... I love you so very much 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
This horse is truly an amazing animal! Horses are soo strong and I love his story. Poor endo. But he’s gorgeous! His story is sooo inspiring. He runs like a normal horse and I hope he has an amazing life!
The level of trust. This horse walks, trots, and canters in any direction this humans points his nose into. She could run in right into a wall or a fence a hole anything! And yet he continues to believe in her and trust her completely, trust that she will tell him when to jump and stop him before he gets hurt. This level of trust and bond cannot be faked in any way shape or form. Incredible absolutely incredible.
@@ix3755 Thats terrible! Those trainers shouldn't be with the animals! If my riding school did that (even though they wouldn't) I'd get my mother to sue them and I wouldn't be going back again. I know they wouldn't do that though cause they're amazing
I follow their story for years and it has inspired me to become a better partner and human fellow for my animal family. Thank you for everything Morgan and Endo
I observe Endo on facebook and he's awesome. I knew a horse which didn't have one eye but still he was so calm, beautiful and loving. His name was Minus.
Watching him take that jump was amazing! I always love to see owners putting in the work to make sure their horses are confident and well behaved. Endo has a great life. I assume he requires a pretty level surface so he doesn't stumble?
This horse is amazing but his owner is even more amazing it makes me want to cry to think that the owner took all this time with him to make him not just be some 4 blind horse in a stall. You couldn't tell from his muscle development that he's well loved and well exercised and has his normal life as possible
That horse is just amazing and has so much trust! The rider is truly amazing as well to teach that horse so many magnificent skills. Such a heart warming story 💞❤️
I have taken care of an appy mini horse that is going blind, about 90% blind now, I would welcome any feed back from experience. I have had horses all my life and this is a new challenge for us. "Little Big" is very responsive our verbal communication, but at this point she is alone in her paddock. I am seeking another mini to be her companion. Any feedback is welcome to help us in this journey to make her have a fulfilling life.
What a beautiful horse! Seeing this brought a tear to my eye. As he can't see the jump, how does he know there is a jump? I tell my horses when to take off for a jump, but they know there is a jump coming because they can see it! Keep up the good work.
Imagine the trust this horse has for his owner! It’s so inspiring and amazing!!
...exactly what my reaction was too...and the woman's ability to create that trust is admirable!
What I find fascinating is how the muscles around his eyes still twitch to blink
yea its phantom feeling i believe i dunno im dumb lol but its where you think the limb is still there humans experience it too when they lose a limb ^^

Of course even tho someone loses a eye the nerves and reflexes don't go anywhere
@@proudlesbiancat3577 yes u are correct it's the nerves ect humans allso do it the only difference is no eye nothing else changes

THE HORSE KNOWS 50-60 WORDS!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT HE IS!!!
HIS HANDLER IS AN ANGEL AND A TRUE HERO!!
THIS ALMOST MADE ME CRY.
Wow your blind horse behaves better than my horse with two eyes!
It's all in the horsemanship...
Ariel Mizrachi Not always. Sometimes some horses are just cheeky!
