Appreciate you sharing your experience. I have constant water spotting issues from parking under my carport. Nice to see the good results from version 2.
The reality that people must face is that if your clear coat is deep etched by water spots its not coming out. Yes an acidic based product will get the minerals off the clear coat but the etching is perminent. Clear coat is like a plastic and unless your going to use a heavy cutting compound with a 50/50 pad or wool heavy cutting pad they aren't coming fully out...Some even take a wet sanding to fully remove. Most clear coats are in the 5mm range and you'll be cutting alot of that out to get Deep etching out...The real problem in most new cars sit out in an open lot at the delearship and aren't detailed prior to hitting the lot...So you've already bought a car with water spots and deep etching new....Facts of life my friends...
My favorite water spot remover is from the last coat the only one I’ve used that’s worked every time and is fast and I’ve used it on paint, chrome and glass and just doesn’t disappoint. I apply it to a MF applicator block and wipe in do a cross hatch wait 20 seconds and wipe off with a rinseless wash and apply protection.
I’ve recently started using spotless 2.0 and i find that it’s not that good. And I’m using it on light etched in water spots on glass. I am using as directed. For heavier water spots it’s pretty terrible.
subbed. do you have a video on how you maintain your detailing kit/towels specifically.. i struggle with keeping mine organised especially once I have towels/microfibers that have been used various times.
Thank you for the support! Yeah check this video out. It shows everything that I use and how I setup my detailing supplies. The Ultimate Detailing Setup | What Are We Using? ruclips.net/video/DVkpiw2S6p0a/видео.html
Hey, ive just got my car back from getting some fabrication done, it was in and out of a workshop for 5 months. It's got a 9 Year Ceramic coating from Fireball on it. Ive managed to remove the iron contamination with a ton of iron remover but the waterspots are staying, I tried using descale as a snow foam but that hasnt removed them. Will using a waterspot remover damage my ceramic/graphene coating?
It depends on how long the coating has been on the car. If it has been on there for a few years and the coating it starting to fade then the water-spot remover might take it off. If the coating is fresh then it is less likely to. Water spot remover can be a pretty aggressive chemical so treat with caution and there is no guarantee that it won’t take it off. We have no experience with the fire ball coating. It also depends were the water spots are. If they are under the coating then polishing them out is the option. If they are on top of the coating you might get lucky with removing them with some chemicals. If not, again they will need to be polished out. In my experience water spots are a tricky thing to remove and you don’t really know the answer until you try. Generally it ends with having to polish them out. Start with the less aggressive techniques first (like you have) and move your way up.
@@OmniGarage no it's not - not really - sure the coating will stay but almost all ws-removers damage the coating - and damage it GOOD (not remove it but siginficantly change the hydro)
Ideally you want to start with a clean car before you apply Spotless. You don’t want to be rubbing dirt around causing scratches etc as you work the spotless in. Also make sure you rinse off excess/ all the spotless before applying Bead Maker.

Yeah it works better than the first edition.

For really bad water spots I heated up the panel, used water spot remover then polished them out. Worked a dream.
at last a voice or reason and truth - dealers check your shit - you do this all the time - they did it to my brand new BMW G42 - dealers suck
@@OmniGarage thats a good idea, must try it
Yes it worked for us

Sound interesting I have never seen this product before. Will keep and eye out
@@OmniGaragecrazy you never herd of the last coat lol
*heard.
People who can’t spell should be careful with their judgements of others.
Hi, can you use this product on top of waxed car?
It could possibly remove it.
I’ve recently started using spotless 2.0 and i find that it’s not that good. And I’m using it on light etched in water spots on glass. I am using as directed. For heavier water spots it’s pretty terrible.
Yes tough etched water spots will be to be polished out.
It sucks, same with Gyeon WS-remover (they all suck really, only good things ive heard is DIY WS remover)

Is this truly safe for ceramic coated car? Thanks

@@OmniGarage hey thanks for the quick reply, the coating has been on for about 8-10 months at most
Carpro say that Spotless 2.0 is safe to use with their coatings and so am unsure how safe it is to use on your coating.

Ok. Looked good. If there were any water spots left over after 2.0 on a ceramic coating, what would you do? Thx.
You either have to be satisfied with having a few hard water spots or polish them out and re coat.
I have some from a two+year old coating. I intend to lightly polish and re-coat My car during Spring 2023. Thanks, I'll keep this in mind.
No problem and hopefully you can sort out those nasty water spots!
So than why not treat the car with Spotless and apply Bead Maker afterwards ?

CarPro Spotless < CarPro Eraser < Bead Maker
Can this be used on plastic trim with water spots?
It can, but I would recommend you do a small test spot first to see how it reacts.
Guys, should I wash each section after spotless? I think it’s a strong chemical and needs to be neutralised.
Yes, I would rinse each panel as you go.
Охренеть прическа! Такой раньше не видел ни у кого))
Add a drop of white vinegar to your soap. It will remove water spots and saves a load of cash!!
