Just look out for: Injector leaks, seat ripping, subframe wear, soldering issues on the LCD, electric sorting under driver seat can get a little messy, camcover oil leaks, serp belt supplied by mercedes is useless on these models. If you want to map your 2.1 l, id suggest getting a better alternator and make sure you use quality oil and quality deisel with additives. Also service it. A lot.
@technooby220 lots of issues. When I got mine it had clean mot and service, I did get scammed but Mercedes went through it all. I bought it for 4500 and have spent atleast 10k in repairs. Good job its pretty 😁
@technooby220 yeah, they did a full video health check, showed everything, talked about common issues. Mercedes fixed the sub frame and seat damage as they're common issues for free. Throughout the year I fixed from their report: injector leak (I was at 50mpg instead of 70mpg), brake pipes, torque arms, track rods, prop shaft coupling, alternator, serpentine belt, lcd soldering, under seat mechanism, wire for back light loose, cam cover oil leak, oil housing crack, engine mount replacements as loud vibrations. Most are common, id say unlucky on the light wiring and alternator. But i did have mine tuned for better fuel economy and that explains the alternator. Would i get another W204? Yes but with a semi reliable dealer. Not sure on the fuse issue, doesn't sound like a fuse issue to me but it depends on how the jdms work, never owned one, never heard of it. I would look more towards the starter motor / plugs :(
By any chance, I’ve been looking for a resource that explains the advanced agility featured for the sport plus model, sport button? Thank you. I bought mine 6 months ago. Love it so much. Having it fully serviced. Engine, ecm, tcm, diff and transmission serviced at 90k miles. Full tuneup on the 13’ C250 AMG Sport Plus w/handling pkg. the light 4cly engine makes the car so much more fun to drive.
Great review - the W204 Coupe was manufactured until 2015 while saloon production ended in 2014 - do you know if the interior fitting remained the same in 2015 models (I have a 2015 C250)?
I would like to know how loud the Diesel engine is and how does the RPM shoot when you press on the gas? do they shoot or the gear chang ehappen very fast?
I used to own an 07 Audi TT TFSI and had a lot of problems with that engine (constant coil pack failures). Yesterday I bought a 2012 C250 CDI Coupe and so far, I am so impressed. (Very early days). So much more torque than the TFSI petrol.
Brilliant as always and the perfect selection of topics, facts and figures.
Thanks again!
Good summary. This vid is surely older than 2 years old though? Our host looks like he got dressed in 1991 😄
this is 2011 ? looks like its straight from the 90s... i mean the video :D

Thank you for the review
Is the c coupe a better handling car then an Audi a5 Quattro coupe facelift ?
I know the Audi handles better than the 4 door version but it is considerably less reliable.
This was one of the most dependable Mercedes generations.

Smooth, linear and fast.
hello. im torn between a used 2012 C250 coupe vs 2010 Audi TTS 2.0, which one has better reliability & lesser issues? thank you

Glad it was helpful!
That 117 CO2 figure would have been nice as it puts it in the £35 tax bracket rather than £150 😢
