Stuff like this always reminds me of the true purpose of a curved shaft trimmer. I never buy them myself, but I wouldn’t mind having one on that slope. Good job guys.
Love me some Redmax
Good stuff
Bro I gotta go to Morgan's power equipment and get me one fr🔥🔥🔥🥶🥶🥶
👍🏼 for the redmax trimmers
The best in my opinion
@@PlemonsLawnCare yup I got one 111rx it's nice for overgrown stuff but like the feel of the redmax so much better
Does that trimmer have any rubberized coating on the throttle grip or is it just plastic? I know it does have padding on the loop handle.
Caleb looking like a badass on the Trimmer, guys that good rarely come along. That being said working solo it would probably take me about 20-25 minutes using my Stihl FS91 R with .105 Ballistic trimmer line and No Guard. Would probably charge anywhere from $35-70 per cut depending on the customer.
Wouldn't do it for no less than 150$$cash or contract it for 100 a cut for 52 weeks.. booyah!!
I owned a red max back when I first got started, it was pretty nice .
I’ve really liked it so far
Redmax is the only way to roll
This one job you do that I say better you than my old self doing it 👍🇺🇲💯
LOL its really not bad after you get use to it
Great job ,
Thanks Eric
I carry a pair of old football cleats for banks like that, it really helps on banks where you keep sliding.
I use to keep some but I do t anymore great thing is it’s a soft landing in the creek if I fall lol
$65-$75 biweekly, $150-$175 monthly (if you get a lot of rain in that month, it's going to be wild and full of trash). I wouldn't do that many though especially here in new Orleans....when I rains alot, Gators flow thru these things everywhere
Fortunately there are no gators just snakes we knock it out ever 2 weeks
You should check out *Arnetoli* quick load cartridges w\ 3mm jagged line.... at least 25% more efficient, 25% more powerful, 25% quicker and 25% more life span of engine
Not to mention 25% less operator fatigue..
I’ll check into them
www.arnetolimotor.it/index.php?cPath=1_63
@@PlemonsLawnCare their RC-SYSTEM if I ain't wrong - is what we use and replace *only* the red under-dome when it goes busted. It's rare that the black base and the white internal mechanism has any damage that demands replacing. Genius. Plus there's another similar series which has an additional line guard..
@@PlemonsLawnCare as for the cord type, here is an example: www.ebay.com/itm/293331577501
3mm is ideal, if you find a 3.3mm you may enjoy the slight improvement, and 3.5 is still manageable but will have to be reduced in reload quantity on each reload.
But since the specific Arnetoli I use has the *super quick* cord reload, I don't care much because it's so fast & easy that sometimes I don't even need to shut the engine off! (though I don't endorse unsafe operation...lol)
I never trim back to traffic and I cant stand having the guard on love the redmax 260 used them for 25 years, definitely would be using some growth regulator on that ditch limit or embark if allowed
Some places it’s impossible not to. Fortunately that road is further away then what it looks.
Redmax = Husqvarna, isn't it?
@@generaldistrust yeah
@Angel Campman you bout dumb as a box of rocks you gotta be a biden voter what kinda man puts his self out of more work and more money???😂😂😂🤣
30 years never used guards .there unbalanced..and dissent stop debree ..it's mostly mowers that break things
I’d spray a growth regulator to slow it down.
I have thought about that may give it a shot
Plemons Lawn Care look up label on embark
Nice man! I absolutely love my redmax stuff! Bcz260TS is no doubt the best trimmer I’ve ever used. Super lightweight and very powerful and comfortable! Stay safe and good luck!
Thanks brother they are much lighter then my old Stihl
What's the problem? All y'all need is a hover mower and some rope. Here, hold my beer and watch how it's done
You know it's a bad angle when you have to put a hand down to stay yourself enough to move forward. Props to you all for not just spraying it down.
We always brought a pair of baseball spiked shoes for that. Guessing$160.00 per cut on the ditch.
Little bit high in our area for that ditch.
Agreed, at first glance the ditch looked to be right @2500 yards long.....
Timothy Shevel the go pro really makes it look a mile long lol
I know you've went for a trip in that stream before! LOL. That's a nasty ditch. Time to get some cleats.
Once or twice. Lol it’s pretty badly eroded from a semi turning over in it a few years ago
My name is Chris
About $40 if it is done on a regular basis versus if it is a jungle.
Yea we keep it cut regularly so it doesnt get out of hand
I didnt know you were a redmax guy. My new dealer sells Redmax. I bought 2 redmax 8500 last fall for my growing fall leaf cleanups and love the redmax 8500. I will be replacing my stihl trimmers in the near future with Redmax.
Yes made the change this year to them
Nice I would change $60 to $70 keep up the great work.
A regular manhour rate for that type of ditch needs to be double because sooner or later a injury and or equipment damage from a fall is going to happen. Blowing off a roof carry that same risk which is why insurers charge more for companies that go on roofs or ladders taller than a residential step ladder.
Great point brother
We cut walmart ponds that'll put ditches like that to shame cliton Walmart is huge. And so is meridian Mississippi.
I’ve cut worse for sure. But if yours are tougher post us a video. It be awesome to see
Probably 60 for ditch only. I assume you cut the grass there too? If so it’d be at my regular man hour rate.
Yes you’re in the ball park brother on that price
Great video today always enjoy watching your video have a great rest of the week stay safe
Thanks Jason
How much do you pay per hour on your new green employees?
Bottle of water and a kitkat lol
So do you include travel time in that as well?
Always. We maintain this whole property just a way we look at bidding places when we walk the property. Something some people don’t think about
Great video richie ! I Would charge probably about 60 to 70 by myself but depending on how thick it is really
Thank you brother
yall fellers needs some baseball cleats for that or a winch to pull ya back out of it! As far as charging goes you got 3 out there, spent close to 15 mins... so whatever your manhour rate is for an hour. none of that factors in drive time or anything like that. Id want at least 60 to 75 for it. edit : is that a property you already maintain, and is it billed as a separate service? edit again, I see youre breakin in that new truck!!!!
Repel ropes lol
You dog. I was fixing to roll out the shop to start todays mowing adventures when that line came to mind you spoke in the wee pre dawn hours. I upped my game by 8 inches. Ask your wife how much that matters! U dog. Your sponsors must be quivering in thier boots :) What u gonna do when they come for u bad boy bad boy. GetRdone, in the mid night, she crys MOw MOw MOw :)
😂😂
@@PlemonsLawnCare Just love the 30" TimeMaster. The 22" Recyclers still comes in handy!
Always let a 2T engine a moment to run on *idle* after a hard work before you cut it off so the 2T mixture can lubricate the main bearings properly. That is basically how you let a small 2T engine *restore it's best lubrication* after max load when hot, and before every next start - which is naturally stressful for a 2T engine when it's 'cold'.
I appreciate the tips thank you
@@PlemonsLawnCare I salute 2 ya'all as a fellow landscaper and a small-engine 'nut'
Ditches like that I add pain and suffering tax. Always trying for $70/man hour so $35 to tackle that ditch. I think your centre of gravity was off due to the spring beard trim.
hahaha that was the problem for sure Im bottom heavy now lol
Now the new truck is dirty....eww...on the inside, ...I asked myself y didn't he just run the mower...then went o bc there is a swimming pool in the middle of it😅...I would knw wat to charge for that ditch...I'd gues 50-60
Yea the ferris doesnt swim well lol
Yeah I have found that if I'm making 60 dollars a man hour that works pretty well for me. So if I had a ditch like the one you did I would charge approximately 30 dollars if it took 10 min. I'm often scratching my head when I here people say I would charge 50 to 60 or more for that amount of work. I understand there are a few places like on the east and west coast that charge that because of the really high standard of living. The vast majority of places in the country cant charge that and land much work. As always love the videos.👍👊
Thanks brother. Yea we maintain the property year around so total on the location is much higher but the ditch without getting to specific for 3 guys is between 50-75
dang bro - That looks Just like some of the gas stations that I do. I love the content man great video
Thanks ray. Yea what is it with gas stations having such deep ditches they all do here too
I would between $40-$60
Your in the same area of pricing as we are
SHeesh, brother, slipping and sliding all over the place 😂
🤔🤔 I'd say solo with my Echo 3020 it would take me 15-20 minutes....I dunno, add in the trash, and the slipping, and being next to the road, maybe $50-65...
Lol yea it gets pretty slick from time to time especially this year with all the rain
depends on how often the customer wants it trimmed. every two weeks? 60$ Once a month? 90-100$ Whenever they call me back and say cut it? 120$
You’re pretty close to what I charge
I'd fence it off, put some sheep in there & still charge them $50 per month. Lol 🤗 good to see you back.
😂😂 excellent idea lol
I would charge one man hour at a minimum of $60
Your in the right range as well for that ditch.
$30
Just a tad cheap for 3 guys
Id charge 75 a man hour but im going to weedeat that ditch myself in half that time while my other guys do everything else
You saying you would knock that out in 4 min?
@@PlemonsLawnCare no i meant the time of the video lol. But i service very large comercial properties
I'd charge 250.00 for the ditch..
Be a little steep for this area. Only takes about 8 min with 3 guys
@@PlemonsLawnCare Ritchie, sooner or later you or one of your men are gonna get on a snake in that ditch.. especially with water in it. I do have workers compensation insurance for my men. I haft to charge those prices to run my business..if the client didn't won't to pay that I'd roll on.. hazardous conditions have hazard pay..but I do understand your side of this. It's your business and your time..like your videos Bro..
Wood Lawn Services very valid points you bring up brother. 250 for the ditch then adding onto the mowing and trimming across the rest of the property would push us way out of what they would be willing to maintain it for. Don’t you just love worker’s compensation it’s a pain in the butt and a savior at the same time.
That ditch doesnt look fun at all
It’s really not to bad if it wasn’t so steep
Man, I feel your pain. Check out my latest vid “FS 560 Ditchline Destruction”. The one you’re in has a lot of terrible angles though. Lol good work!
Yea it wouldn’t be so bad if the previous company hadn’t sprayed it and caused it to erode so badly
I try to avg $60hr per man👍 Sometimes more, sometimes less.
Pretty close to where we are
Realistically, $50.
Now, to get me down there? $300 Haha!
(I hate weedwhackin')
Sumdumguy 😂😂 I use to buy now I actually enjoy it weird how we change over time from disliking to liking certain aspects of our job
$140 maybe $200
Little high for that ditch in our neck of the woods brother
And all that trash I know there's a bunch of trash in there its how it is here.
Everyone’s a litter bug anymore
Wow, I was way off, I figured $125 all day, little more if you wanted to get greedy
Hahaha yea just a little off. The entire property including the ditch only takes about 43 min
