For the US store unavailable I don't get it. I am a true fragrance collector but learned over the years I must sample prior to purchase. The fragrance sounds great but I can't dish out unless I can sample from store. It's amazing penhaligon's is that uptight, it's a turn off for sure
@B Mike Smellz Well they give you 3 samples with every order. They also have a special where if you spend a certain amount you get 3 5ml fragrances free with a certain code. So I dont think they are too stingy

My husband has bought this. It's absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I keep spraying a little on my wrist when go in the bathroom. In my opinion it works well on both males and females. It's so expensive but you only need a tiny bit, so it probably works out cheaper than a lot of scents.
I don't know about perfumes I'm looking to get this for my mum for her Christmas present as one of her many presents and your comment sold it to me 😅

I got sticky baklava from this. Sweet, but spicy with dried fruits in the finish. I was really pleased you found it sweet too. 😋
I love the dry down of this on me. It turns gourmand. One of the few Penhaligon’s fragrances that last on my skin.
Such a complete and honest review Robin. I think I shall get a sample of this given how much I love that range but when you think what else falls into that price bracket any question over performance would be a worry.

Hi Robin, another very good review, thank you. My go to fragrances are Halfeti, Halfeti Cedar and Oud Wood, if I was to add this would it compliment them or just be a bit same same in your opinion?
Bought a bottle and just tried it. Been on an hour now and it’s a creamy liquorice. It’s very sticky feeling. Will try it tomorrow at work to get a better idea for sillage and longevity

What perfumes give you that golden god of myrrh vibe? Legacy of Petra is my favorite scent ever but if there's something that turns it up I'd love to try it. This video helped me buy this originally so thank you for having such a great review!
Wow @ the way you described this, but even more so, how you painted the entire picture, impressive :) Penhaligon's have their summer sale on and im torn between this and Constantinople, both of which I have not smelled, and I'm a sucker for blind buying (part of the trill), both are priced the same, and I seriously asm torn. I think I know I'll like Constantinople and im not sure about this one, but that intrigues me more, do I or do I not.....

Mmmm Robin I'm not convinced that you're convinced. It's almost as if you're saying it's great out of loyalty to a brand you love, without really truly loving the fragrance. Thanks for the link to the sample. Have received mine now and I really like it. Won't surplant Halfeti in my affections but now my 2nd favourite from Penhaligons.
Have you actually smelt myrrh on its own as a raw material? I think you might be influenced by how it's presented in perfumes, but on its own it is not at face value sweet or toffee like. It can be perceived as anisic which can trigger an association to certain sweets. It also has a pronounced rubbery facet. Anyway seemed like a balanced review.

Could you review Ebene Fume, Bois Marocain and Santal Blush by Tom Ford? They rereleased the latter two.
I'll see if I can get my hands on them. They don't tend to send me samples these days.
Many people said that this one reminds of Angel Share by Killian. I know what is the Angel Share smell like. It is really heavy cinnamon powder & apple sauce & rum scent. Does Legacy of Petra smell heavy cinnamon scent ? Anyone can reply?
It’s quite a heavy Liquorice scent. It smells slightly similar to Sauvage Elixir, if you mixed it with the sweetness from JPG Ultra Male... only a higher quality version. It’s very sweet liquorice.

I’ve only ever found halfetti lasts. Tried many from this house but struggle with longevity.
Get halfeti cedar.
Still smell it on my pillow 5 days later. It’s a beast of a fragrance
I agreed too, their longevity is a big problem especially the portrait series, it’s expensive and don’t last. It’s way too over price with little ingredients too. Probably halfetti, Sohan or yasmine are those stronger oud note.

Smells like Haribo Lakritzschnecken. It's definitely unique, but I could not take myself seriously when wearing this :D
Probably not intentional but I like how your jacket almost exactly matches the colour of your eyes 😀
My eyes can change from a silvery colour to a bright green. Most of the time I've got green eyes though, which is pretty unusual!
