Thanks for sharing your experiences. People may wish to know a true 4-season tent has better insulating capabilities merely because it can be totally zipped shut in nylon. Put another way, there's no mesh that allows air to just flow in and out. As such, heat, mostly just from your body, can get trapped inside the tent itself on a 4-season tent. Plus a true 4-season tent tends to have a large vestibule for storing gear and other stuff outside the snow and elements. Some people have camped in a 3-season tent in winter as you say, by using heaters. Another trick is if there is snow, or you have enough bushcraft skills, to essentially "seal" the circumference of the fly of the tent so no cold air can blow in from the sides. I hope this makes sense. To me one of the most exciting innovations in recent years are small wood stoves for camping, and tents built with venting to accommodate them. Safer than using a Mr. Buddy, as far as CO goes.
I like the military feature too...being able to get out fast somehow makes me feel good. But now I use ultra light mummy bags. I used to not like them but I actually do pretty good in mummy bags now. So, I have several and I insert one inside the other based on how cold it is. Yes to the Mr. Buddy heater but only for getting in and out. Everyone has their own preferences of course, but that is what I do. Great topic !
I had partial success using gorilla flex seal but even screen width would not fill it .04 mm, but next day product still partial success on using aluminum foil for heat reflective see how long it last .
That's a good question. Doesn't seem to, from what I've seen. I'll test it though. Our garden hoses don't seem to freeze even if the water inside them does.

Morning hope it works mate. Hope it works. The tent you were using looks like a good setup. Tc Andy 🇺🇸👍😁🇬🇧
Hey you should look into a down quilt. Enlightened Equipment or UGQ are great. Thanks

Thanks for your comment. I'm still searching for the holy grail of comfort without having to lug mountains of gear. :)

Will the propane hose freeze at 24 degrees?
