The legendary OBT has many locals across Africa this is the Kenya local a stunning sandy coloured tarantula with lovely cream coloured bands on the segments to the legs , an old world tarantula that deserves respect when working with , so lets go have a closer look at this remarkable tarantula.

Excellent spider video - as usual. Regarding your new buildind, and the electrician problem? There's a radio comedy group from California called The Firesign Theatre, that became very popular in the 1970s, and produced several great comedy albums. Every time you say "we're waiting for the electrician", I think of their hilarious - but kind of eccentric - album, entitled "Waiting For The Electrician (or Someone Like Him)"....

She is a beautiful spider and that's a good looking enclosure she has.
I know I couldn't handle any of these Ts because I moved a big huntsman outside on Friday, I use plastic takeaway catchup and cardboard, I was in my Dave mode, I was bringing it away from the wall it managed to get out and was over my hand in a split second, I jumped and dropped the lot. The huntsman ended up at the bottom of the wall, I got a thicker card and this time, got it and let it go in back yard, so if I jump with a huntsman I don't think I could handle the bulkier Ts.

Dave u should definitely do a live stream after u shelved out your new Tarantula room bringing them all to the room and arranging them and rehouses it would be a good watch
She is such a stunner! I would be nervous in her position too with two large mammalian predators putting me into a new space that's super open, but she'll learn. I'm far too medically compromised to keep any old worlds so watching yours helps me feel like I have some and for that I am always grateful ❤
She is a beauty, Wow. I particularly like how the metallic blue on the underside of her legs morphs in to green with a change in lighting. Camera Lady got some great views of the Kenyan. The enclosure looked great too. If you tell me where the Sparky lives I'll send the boys round to clear his diary🤣
A very striking spider indeed! The mottling of gray on her abdomen, the banding on her legs, the flashes of iridescent blue when the angle is right make her unique. BTW, if you had "poked" me awake from a sound sleep and I found myself in a totally different environment as well, I'd be rather defensive, too.
I only have one Jumping Spider but I'm fascinated by your videos. The BIG spiders are so cool. 😀

My favourite tarantulas I've had all 3 obts a few years ago ,just got back into tarantula keeping, I don't understand why people panic about them I enjoy their mood swings lol,Time to buy some for my collection

Baboons are always so fun to rehouse 😅I just rehoused my feather leg baboon and she was a bit pissy with me like always.
I won the £60 mystery box raffle in scotts WhatsApp group & it had a Kigoma sling in it & it's stunning! My hubby wants to try & get every type of obt. So far we've got the rcf, umv & kigoma. When unboxing the kigoma it was so small I was scared to breathe on it in case it went flying & it still had the cheek to give me a threat pose 😂😂😂

Just wanted to say… happy to see a rehouse/spider video, the build series isn’t really my cup of tea. I’ve just finished my first season as a blueberry farmer, and your videos have helped me overcome my arachnophobia to the point I’m not freaking out when the odd spider runs across my arms and I even gently relocated a jumping spider with only my hands at my grocery store job. I’m finally starting to love spiders! Thanks for your videos

Just couldn't see the potential when you first put the plants in with the plastic box. I should have known it would turn out amazing. I have a lot to learn from the master. Beautiful spider I loved her commitment to the threat posture, she was definitely telling you to back off. I get like that when the three men in my life start annoying me I often give them the death stare it works well! Beautiful species and my favourite of all. Currently I have 15 of them in all the colour forms. The only ones that have ever given me a threat pose are the brown colour forms, the Tete which seems to be the more unhinged ones 😂 If they are not in a threat pose then they are running laps around the enclosures as soon as i go to feed them. Hoping they calm down when they get bigger
Damn! Ironically I've been thinking about picking up my first OBT but my fav dealer only has the kenya variant. Didn't realize they had all the subtle blues etc! Now I'm intrigued.
I've never kept a defensive species but I heard if you respect these guys and give em some space, substrate depth, and anchor points so they can really build a comfortable home that they can be pretty tolerant. Man I dunno though that big girl was about to jack that brush! 😂

One of my favorite species of tarantula I have 3 different colors forms rcf, bcf, dcf
My RCF OBT is now at about 2 inches DLS, doing well, very bolty and not very defensive. Loves food and is one of my fav Ts for sure! Dave, will you be attending the Coventry invert show? If yes, I hope to see you there!
