So cute🥰
That is one beautiful big girl ❤ Nice one Dave 👍
I’ve been binge watching all your videos recently and they are absolutely incredible
You’re like the David Attenborough of the tarantula world, very knowledgeable, very informative you keep your audience gripped the way you deliver information about the T’s , I’ve learned a ton through watching your video’s
I doff my cap to you Dave , fantastic content
Thank you so much my friend we really appreciate your support ❤️👍
Finally someone said it. Same with Versi. We've found that keeping slings dry with access to water drastically improves survival rates. 94 avic slings, 1 loss in 3 months. 60 inceii, 0 losses in 4 months. Thanks Dave!
Your very welcome 🙏
Very interesting. I have a versi sling and a few weeks ago I checked in on it and it looked like it was dying. It was very lethargic and sort of curled up and when I touched it it would hardly move. I've had several spiders die and I've never had one recover when it gets to that point. So I put water over most of it's enclosure and it actually recovered. I couldn't believe it. That's the only thing I did. It had just eaten the day before.
I agree. I've kept most of mine with a water bowl I overfill. They do x100 times better.
Ive had good success with pinktoes using only vermiculite as a substrate cuz its rock and doesn't mold. just remove leftovers and glue your corkbsrk so it doesn't touch the substrate and mold.
@@FearedToFascinated i tried and failed with a Versi sling a few year back
I was misinformed through poor information from the internet that i had to keep it relatively humid , and sure enough the sling didn’t last long
Lesson learned but ive never tried another Versi sling since , it knocks your confidence i think
Its funny cuz I watch everyone of these videos when they come out. I just set up an A. Avicularia breeding project, and bought a Rufa at an expo😂 timing couldnt be better
What a treat!
Thats a Beautiful spider 🕷 Dave I love the colors on it.
Cracking video Dave.
Love Monday & Thursday mornings. Best mornings of the week! Beastie Days!
See you on Monday Dave.

She is so pretty and so fluffy. Thanks for sharing her.
Well done. Very nice enclosure and a lovely spider. Thanks for another wonderful video…they always make my day.
My pleasure 😊
What a beautiful girl ❤ the more I see your spiders the more I love them. I love just bringing down Tuesdays enclosure in front of me taking off the lid and spend some gazing time. Every so often she climbs up and just touches my hand on the top. Of her home. I call it our special connection time. Thank you again for trusting me to have her x
❤️❤️❤️
Very, very beautiful. The Queen of Fluff😮 and all the bright tips of the hairs❤
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful spider 🕷❤️ and a nice video! Thank you, dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady!

Oh now she is just so big gorgeous and so fluffy. Can't wait to see the babies from her in the future
What a beauty! I had to add that one to my list!
I appreciate that the water bowl was glued on perfectly level
😂❤
Dave i really appreciate the results of your many years of husbandry. Knowing the behaviour of your animals and what they are likely to do in a situation is so key to understanding how to move around them.
Thats exactly what we hope to share ❤️
That’s a truly remarkable creature. Thanks for the vid.
WOW 😍 she is stunning mate. Great video and set up my friend
Thank you so much 😀
The spider is lovely and all, but that moss is gorgeous! 😍
Thank you! 😊
Really cool spider!!! Very fuzzy!! Love the yellow bands!! I’ve never seen anyone film this one!!! Wonderful footage camera lady!!!

She's a beautiful spider Dave bless you and your wife love your videos
Hello Dave and Camera Lady! OMG she is so fluffy!!!❤ I love her! I am such a sucker for velvety pink toes and then you add in the golden bracelets 😮. Can it get any better than this? Yes! A male and some lovely babies. I can’t wait. Thank you for a lovely rehousing. This was a gorgeous enclosure. I am sure she will be very happy there. Y’all take care and have a great weekend! See you soon.🩷💛❤️
You too ❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant video Dave as always, that's a stunning Avic, i hope you get a male Dave, that'll be a great breeding project, anyway Dave another super job by yourself and camera 📷 lady Dave.
She’s got her socks on ❤
Hi Dave She is a beautiful spider. Very hairy. Really like the yellow stripes on her legs, and her pink toes. Thanks for all of the information on her. Like the starey moss😅 She is a good climber. You made a wonderful enclosure for her. Excellent views camera lady.❤Spiders. Cindy USA
Thank you 🙏
a special looking spider PROFF a big fuzzy ball, you make these enclosures look so easy and natural -brilliant. so wonderful footage CAMERA LADY. another fine video with great useful information for the hobby. many thanks guys and take care
Thank you! Cheers!
Hello, You were right about the moss. it is Syntrichia ruralis or "Star Moss". Absolutley stunning spider, Beautiful colouration and hair.
Very nice looking tarantula mate ❤all I've seen is slings of this species!
She is beautiful and your enclosures are always so awesome ❤
Thank you 🙏
Did you hear a new species of tarantula was discovered in Arizona? Just a fun fact.
Wonderful video as always! Can't wait for the new beastie room to be ready! So excited!
@@ryanwoodward1749 do you have more information about the new Arizona T?
Definitely a treat of a spider, wow
Beautiful girl. She has those light iridescent hairs my metallic pink toe has.
Great to see that you are preparing the spider enclosures for the new room.😊
More to come!❤️
I love heavy webbers, their enclosures look awesome. But sometimes they web too much because then you cant see them!😂
Really pretty spider, love the banding on the legs. Interesting that the venom of the rufa, is potentially useful as an agent in antibiotics
Wow very nice Avic! i would like to get one at some point, thanks Dave and camera Lady!
Stunning t! Great video again guys 😊
Wow she is great
She is a beauty thanks for sharing xxx
Hi Dave 🕷 and Camera 📷 lady love your video's keep up the good work.
Thank you 🙏
Yw Dave
She is an amazing spider. ❤
Wow she is absolutely beautiful
Vert nice close up shots camera lady 😊👍🏻
So nice of you
she's a beauty!
She is so pretty x❤
What a beauty! Really hope you get hold of a male 🤗
I've just lost my rufa sling & I'm gutted. It moulted during the night, but it did it inside its webbing. When i woke up & checked on them 1st thing i found it half stuck in it's moult, tangled in it's Web. It didn't give itself enough room to get out. I took it out & did what i could, untangling the webbing etc. It lost a couple legs that were stuck & the 1s it did manage to get out were all crooked, think they must have hardened while tangled. Also 1 of is fangs were permanently sticking downwards instead of being tucked away. It managed to survive about 10days. I was putting mashed up cricket in for it but don't know if it ever ate because i was trying to leave it in peace as much as possible. I was hoping to get it through to another moult, but it wasn't meant to be.
RIP little "Rufio", you were a stunning little baby.
Sorry to hear this 😭
@@daveslittlebeasties thanks. I just keep thinking if only it had started moulting when I was awake then I could have done something. If I notice 1 of mine starting to moult I always check on them regularly. Last moult it went down to the ground & was out in no time. Proper gutted. Was a beauty, still had all its stripes.
Diobelonella palustris 🤓
Sorry I can't provide you with the common name, because I only know the German one. If you want to break your tongue you can try and say it in German: Sparriges Kleingabelzahnmoos 😂😂😂
Which literally translates to "side branched small fork tooth moss" 😂😂😂
Cracking spider! I got my first avic yesterday (was a giveaway in some order) An avicularia laeta. Very pretty as slings. I'll keep in mind what you said about keeping the enclosure on the dry side.
So thanks! Your vid came at the perfect time for me ❤
Awesome thank you 🙏
Absolute stunner Dave! Hoping to add an Avic to our collection very soon!
I just rehoused my cuban bronze, versicolor , feather leg and a pulchapise which I have 5 of each species these were my youngest slings. Your yellow banded pink toe is gorgeous
They are stunning
@@daveslittlebeasties I'm getting 2 purple pink toes next week which I'm really excited for
Great video Dave and camera lady, beautiful enclosure and she is gorgeous! I want one 😅😍
She sure is a beauty Dave!! And she's very large. I sure hope you find a male❤❤❤❤😊
Awesome!!! My favorite videos!! So much valuable information.
Glad you like them!
Hi Dave and Camera Lady. You were nearly correct. That moss is called Heath Star-moss
Gorgeous Avic !
Nice ❤
She’s so fluffy!! ❤
I have a female Citharacanthus cyaneus, Cuban orange & violet. Haven’t seen you do that spider 😊
Awesome Vid 👏🏻
I actually never spray my enclosures, instead I pour a little water once a week on the moss & substrate !!
Really interesting looking one 🤩
The Avics might be the best genus of pet tarantulas. Active, can survive a moderate fall, beautiful, unlikely to bite or kick hairs.
😮😊 Thanks
Hello great video information and rehousing Dave
Thanks 👍
great update Dave 😂
She is one of the most beautiful spiders of all, the hairs make her look fantastic.
One thing puzzles me is when you say they like mid 70s F as that's around 23c a cold day in the tropics. I'm guessing they adapt to the cooler temperature.
mine sit around 80f but do equally as well a little lower all depends on what im doing with them 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties thank you Dave, you do a fantastic job teaching everything about the hobby.
Soooo FLUFFY!
I was about to post the same thing. Fluffy spider indeed.
What a stunner 😍
Dave you should try Glueing moss round the water bowl you always seem to have a spare piece left over
Just a thought maybe Put up some black construction paper on the wall in between the shelves and as you push the containers up next to it it may act like a backing board or not but I agree having the backing board does give him a little more privacy
She’s beautiful and her new home suits her!
The best nights of the week! How is the new room coming?
Slowly 😂
@@daveslittlebeasties it will get there, better slow and correct than fast and wrong!
You have an amazing collection
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful! ❤
PS: Has the electrician not shown up yet? 😊
Not yet
She really was very well trained, wasn't she? Don't ever expect that of Camera Lady...
love the Avicularia's!! Do you also have the Purpurea, Juruensis and Braunhauseni Dave? they are beautiful too!!!!!!
Yes we do ❤️
@@daveslittlebeasties ❤
🕷🕸❤
Nice video Dave. I’ve got some juvenile males from the eggsack I had last year if you want one to grow on?
I would love some message me on Facebook facebook.com/Daveslittlebeastiesofficial/ 👍
Awesome dudes! The abdomen being so dark and bald makes me think premoult for sure on her! Gonna be looking out for one of these guys at the October 13th Coventry Invert show, will you and Camera Lady be there?
Yes we will be there , come say hello 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties If I find you guys, given the amount of stalls and crowd, if you're not too busy at the time, would you be okay with a photo? (I'm nervous for the show and wanna make sure I respect people's boundaries haha)
Hi to the both of you how’s the new room coming along I’m missing the new build
its coming 😂👍
Shes huge. My gosh
They do get big 😊
(As "furry" as she is,she looks like she ought to be from the arctic, not Brazil. Another beautiful spider.)
You commented on the bald abdomen here and it made me wonder if any spiders regenerate the hairs they kick off. Is the baldness more likely to change because of regeneration or due to a molt? Fascinated newbie here 😊
Yes it often grows back over time , the key is to keep them calm so they dont kick the hairs off 👍
Mood moss. I think?
Wow, amazing spider 🕷 lovely home 🏡 so nice to see 👀 you handling all your spiders so carefully ❤😊🇩🇰
If you paint the walls of your new beastie room black and position the lighting so that it doesn't illuminate the backs walls, could you not do away with those backing boards on the individual enclosures?
I think they would still appreciate them 👍
Thank you for the information on the husbandry. I just got my first pink toe. After getting her set up realized that the soil is too wet. Going to redo her enclosure tomorrow so hopefully she will be happy. Is it normal for them not to eat once a week? I have had her for a month and no matter what I give her she not eating.
Once you've redone her home, she'll eat next day, I bet
Yes it's normal. My avics hardly ever eat lol.
They are all individual some are pigs others are grazers 😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties do I remove the food I have given her. I gave her Dubai roaches.? I found they are burrowing in the soil.
Lovely girl. She is stunning. Please, if possible, a sling report is desired, fearfully, however.
It is so exciting to se0e slings and feeding of slings.
Do they get bigger than versicolors?
about the same
I thought avicularia could not kick hairs, rather just rub them on you if you’re close enough for direct contact?
They often flick from the front too ,they are not as good at it as the Brachypelma its a different style of defence 👍
Thank you! :)
Hi Dave. A bit off the video subject it do you happen to have any balfori communals for sale? Or know of anyone who does please?
I dont unfortunately ive not bred any this year
URGENT.. Guys I need your help. I have a Acanthoscurria Geniculata since she was a sling, shes now a juvenile and was feeding pretty good. She's now about the size of a large hand when spread out but her abdomen is smaller than her carapace. She hasn't eaten or molted in about a year now and I'm so concerned. She drinks water and her temps are around 80 humidity and 20 degrees. I've tried her on all different food sources but she refuses and actually lifts her legs up when they approach her! I really dont know what to do and if she is ok? I'm based in London and would love any help/support to ensure she will be ok. Please let me know what I can do. Dave if your reading this then I sent you a message on your Instagram and you replied and she hasn't eaten anything since then!!!!! I've tried meal worms, cockroaches, crickets, small locusts.. Nothing!!!!! This isn't normal right? Thank you..
Just too add, she obvs hasnt molted in around a year aswell. If anyone can suggest a vet that specialises with exotic animals (Tarantulas) in the UK that would be amazing. Thanks again.
Good luck with your spider, hopefully there's someone who can help.
I would up the temps 20 degrees is a little low , warm her up and im sure she will eat 👍
@@daveslittlebeastiesThank you, so what degrees do you think? Should I buy a heater to do this as the humidity drops the higher the temperature goes? I did see in your video on this species that they like what ive been providing. Im so lost!
@@tgk3624 Thank you 🙏🏼
You haven’t said anything about the building at the room so what’s going on? I didn’t enjoy the video. Thank you.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy the video, we are still waiting on an electrician but hopefully be back on the build soon ❤
Weird comment. I really enjoyed the video as I always do.
