i've been obsessed with brachypelmas lately
I have a lovely B. emilia, and she is the sweetest creature ever!! Never kicks hairs, and she is quite tame.❤❤❤
I had a adult b hamorii I let go for 120$ I have always wonder how it’s fairing, probably live another 20 years
Theyre amazing.. atm I just have one and likely it will stay like that because I can enjoy this channel 😊.
What I do like so much about them is that it doesnt take like 5 years to get a decent size juvenile. Some aphonapelma and the G. roses actually take way too long for most people and it will grow too much frustration 😅. My aphonapelma anax did literally 4 years to get to a legspan of 7cm, then I sold it.
Actually if you heat them to a decent temperature they have a more then decent grow rate what i would describe as avarage.
It was 110 with the heat index today in Tennessee where I live 😂
this is my favourite brachypelma after auratum.
They are beauts, defo wanting to add 1 to my collection!
Why do so many people found the rarest the most pretty 😅.
It does look good.. but personally emilia is my favorite.
@@svenjanssen3173 idk how rare they are cause i've had all of them for years. i think my fav order is: auratum, baumgarteni, klaasi, albiceps, emilia, smithi, boehmei, and hamorii
Brachypelma is always awesome 🥰
Yeah get some more A’s and B’s in the New Beastie Room. They are so pretty .
I NEVER in my life thought I would say a SPIDER is pretty. But this spider is very pretty. Thanks Dave and CL for helping to break my arachnophobia. ❤
Then you should see the Brachypelma auratum! The Mexican Flame-knee...
Absolutely gorgeous.
@@johanneabelsen1644 awesome 👍
Gotta love brachypelma species! Absolutely beautiful
🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
I for one are glad you
are doing some
New World Spiders
🕷️🕷️🕷️
That is an incredible looking spider!!! Beautiful!!!!
What beautiful girl 😍 She made me smile when her little legs were going like the clappers. ❤️
She looked stunning on the back glass ❤
Hi Dave, beautiful spider. I love the peachy color and then her dark toes very stoning very hairy too. Thank you for your video.👀❤️📸
You are very welcome 🙏
I love my baumgarteni Cha-Cha. She's my second fav brachypelma after the classic hamori which was my very first tarantula ever, so I have a soft spot for them and always will. I got my baumgarteni last year as a 1/4" freebie from Tarantula Canada and she's already over 2 inches DLS with full adult coloration. Such a pretty spider! Cha-Cha never ever hides or burrows either. All my brachys (I keep 6 species of Brachypelma.) are great about staying out in the open except for my emilia. My B. emilia is so skittish compared to my other 5 species of Brachypelma. She is just about always in her hide.
Dave, your channel is the high school science class I've always wanted. Have you ever thought of going around to schools and giving a presentation with some beasties? I think the kids would love it. Teaching is a gift.
Once are new building is completed im thinking of doing work shops covering all aspects of the hobby ❤️
Fabulous idea!
my favorite time just made my morning
I know what you mean
Hello Dave and Camera Lady. I hope this finds you well and cooled down a bit. We have only been up to 102 this summer so not as bad as last year yet.🥵 What a beautiful fuzzy girl! I just can’t resist the fuzzy ones. And the deep velvety black! Oh my she is lovely. Sorry I have been scarce. I am fine, just sad. Thank you for the lovely video and I will be back soon. Take care!❤❤
We love a nice clean spider bum 🕷♥️😊👍 ( or clean bums in general )!😮😅 What a beautiful 😍 spider, and her peachy colors are very pretty! We had a bit of a mini heat 🥵 wave in Sweden, too! Now the temperature are back to normal, and that is just perfect! Thank you, dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady, for yet an interesting video! ♥️👏🌞💐
❤❤❤❤
idea for next weeks videos: 'how to keep spiders during the winter'
Hello great video information and rehouseing Dave
And another awesome video, thanks for sharing Dave !
She is a very beautiful spider! The black and peach are such rich colors!,
🧡🖤🧡
You are the D. Attenborough of the spiderworld Dave..... :-)
❤
Hi Dave and Camera lady ❤
One reason I love your channel is the range of colors and markings on the spiders. This species is a prime example. Until I found your channel, the most colorful spider I'd ever seen was the golden orb we have in the southern USA, so yours are a real feast for the eyes.
❤❤❤❤
She is very beautiful
great spider for the show type PROFF, the colours are amazing as with others in the brachy family. some very interesting information to help the hobby. great footage CAMERA LADY. many thanks guys and take care
Always the best start to the week 😊 Beautiful Brachy, my boehmei, emilia and hamorii are some of my favourites in my collection. Not just for the lovely contrast between black and red/orange but because you can open the doors and observe them, get pics without much fear that they are going to do a Usain Bolt and end up behind the shelving or on top of your head! Although as you say, each individual specimen can be different behaviour wise.
I love these! It’s too bad that they hide out most of the time.
I really appreciate how you handle your spiders (or NOT handle them).
Thank you 🙏
I say you should keep these David. Very very pretty!
She is a very pretty girl. I hope you keep her.
I actually have a brachypelma hamorii and actually got it from the pet store as a juvy. Showing signs of stress so I had to get it and give it a better life. Granted i was not very crazy about it. But now I love her she is absolutely stunning and well mannered. But after seeing this video I was put at ease. Because after a rehouse she chose to start climbing and exploring I thought it was stress but she showed no signs of stress. Now I know that they can do this as part of their nature.
Beautiful spider
She is very pretty ❤❤❤
She's beautiful
Gorgeous color
This a habitat-fluid spider. If it wants to be an arboreal, who are we to say no? 😆
Beautiful spider I have never seen one before, I think perhaps she heard you talking about her not climbing she had to have the last word! I saw another spider channel keep the enclosure door open when he went to get her food he turned his back and she had fallen to the floor, her abdomen split open the keeper ( I use that word loosely ), then grabbed super glue to try to save her but she had died within four steps forward!
I cried she was such a beautiful spider and to see her was awful, I wondered if she was in pain it certainly looked as if each step was agonising, I just don’t understand why he thought super glue would work! I love dogs so I watch a couple of channels but I had to leave because they would withdraw food from the puppies if they had a toilet issue or if she chewed shoes or furniture, you are a fantastic keeper because you care about each and every spider sadly there are a lot of cruel human beings! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love my Brachys! I have an emilia and an albiceps, and they're super. Thanks for another great video Dave and Camera Lady!
Beastie night ❤
Great video again! I love my two brachy - klaasi and boehmei.
As always,
A top notch upload.
Well done, Dave ☝
I have a sling that I am raising, used to have a few adults many moons ago, stunning spider.
Only recently stumbled across your channel after doing some researching into caring for spiders and plucking up the courage to buy my first arriving later this month (Brachypelma Hamorii)
I absolutely love the calming delivery of your content and the wealth of experience and advice you put into it for all of those that are interested in this hobby.
Thank you Dave.
Awesome! Thank you! and welcome to our Channel ❤️👍
Nice work Camera Lady! And you too, Dave😉
Thank you! 😃
love me some brachys
Absolutely brilliant Dave, always enjoy the rehousing videos, they truly are a beautiful species of spider 🕷 and you should, start breeding them Dave, definitely going to get one, anyway Dave that's another super job by yourself and camera 📷 lady Dave.
She's a real Beauty. I got myself a B.emilia last Month and She's almost the whole Day out, so that I can enjoy Her Beauty. The B. baumgarteni is named after Ralf Baumgarten who first introduced It to the Hobby.
I am in Australia and a few years back we had 50c (122f) in the top end of the State.
She is absolutely beautiful. I love the peachy colour. I’m sure she’s going to be very happy in her lovely new home. Thank you for caring and sharing! 🥰❤️
Love your stuff Dave! Especially the Asian arboreal videos. I can watch those all day. Keep it up and take care.
Thanks, will do!❤️
Shes a BEAUTY Dave never had one in my collection YET but might just cure that and get one lol
Love your video
Hi Dave and camera lady. Fantastic video such a pretty spider. On the topic of heat where I live in Australia Lightning ridge we get temps in summer of 50C (122F)can be higher and lows of 26C (78.8F)give or take a few degrees. Not humid very dry.
Hi Dave and hi camera lady
What a beautiful spider luv her colours ..
Such a beautiful spider. These videos are my absolute favorite. So much valuable information. Thanks you for sharing your love of the hobby and helping us newbies understand our critters better. Your the best!!!
So nice of you ❤️
Even when a spider is a ground-dweller... why do thy ALWAYS go up..?😂🤦♂️😄
She is a lovely specimen, isn't she? My emilia just molted 3 days ago! Right ow, she actually looks more like a vagans, than an emilia.🤷♂️ But she IS still a subadult.
What a beautiful spider 🕷 and it is beautiful spider.
What a beauty ❤ it was a Mexican pink toe or pink knee that put me in hospital for a week I rehomed her before I’d even went home a mate of mine came and took her and the enclosure she was in whilst I was in hospital I was so ill I couldn’t risk keeping her sadly it was my fault I spooked her and she just kept on zapping me with her fangs gotta admit I was scared of her after that as embarrassing as it sounds I really admire how calm you are round your spiders I was in 6th gear freak out mode 😂
Another good one! Is it this and the bohemi that been crossbred a bit? Ps maybe try doing few regular shorts, to push past current milestones?👍
She's a ADORABLE GEORGIUS fluffball❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She's so beautiful and fluffy
😊👍🏻
Back to 14 degrees for us brits. What sort of summer is this. 😂
Great update again Dave 👏
I'm hoping to pick up a female Baumgarteni at the Scottish Invert Show next month to go with my Auratum & Hamorii
Cool 👍
I've been holding off on going for brambles for my jungle nymphs coz it's been too hot, now its raining! Can't win!
What beautiful spider striking colours love it 🎉😮😊
Thank you so much 😀
truly btfl
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for my new obsession. Thanks to your videos and Petko from (Dark Den) I bought my first tarantulas after 3 years. Thanks to your tips, I haven't had any stress with moving and feeding yet. keep up the good work, I hope to meet you one day in England. Unfortunately you are not coming to Houten (the Netherlands) and unfortunately you are not sending either . love you and camera lady. greetings from the Netherlands ❤❤❤❤
Thats awesome I hope you enjoy your new spider, we are hoping to get to some of the European shows next year all being well ❤️👍
Years ago I had 6 tarantulas, that one was the first one I had.
For an idea how long ago - they were sold for $25/ea.
She has such a lovely soft peach color hairs on her legs, gorgeous! My first spider was given to me in the mid 1980's - a B. Smithi aka Mexican Red Knee, a mature female my friend had for about 6 years, then I had her for another 7 years. She was molting about every other year. Just 3 months after her previous molt, she was dropped by someone who knew they were not allowed to touch her without me being there, but temptation proved too much, and I came back to the room to find her on the floor with a awkwardly bent leg at the lowest joint to her toes, so the "foot" section? She went into a molt the next night after I left, I didn't know, and when I got back the next morning, she was dead and only partially out of her skin. It was awful, sad, she was a very even tempered girl with a fairly large leg span. I really felt sick about the entire situation.
Very beautiful tarantula i have 3 of this kind i have alot of different brachaplemas and Mexican red knee, flame knee, red rump , fire leg and so on . My regal jumping spider just had babies when do u start to house them separately i already took mom out and into another enclosure
hi dave. been a while since i commented on a vid, i think it was about being unsure on unboxing my A. genic as my first tarantula. from then ive bought 8 more lol. Chilobrachys huahini, chilobrachys fimbriatus, chilobrachys kaeng krachan, thrixopelma pruriens, nhandu coloratovillosum, tliltocatl albupolosum, pterinoculus murinus and caribena versicolor. ive delt with the heat wave with a massive fan and keeping my window open, but curtains drawn so no excess heat. ive dealt with them surprisingly well, no death curls, no postures, no hair storms and the a. genic is about to molt! she hasnt eaten and her bald spot is dark.
side note: she only has a bald spot because shes been scraping them off at the entrance of her hide. (pre molt behaviour?)
Can we have an update video on the Japanese funnel webs?
👍😍🙏
How many times do tarantulas and spiders molt in the year. Please and thankyou,❤❤❤❤❤❤
It all depends one heat , food really the more of each the quicker and more often they will moult ❤️👍
This is the same problem I've had with my B. hamorii. She was doing lovely for over 2 years and then suddenly decided she didn't want to eat at all. She has gotten so small and really needs to eat but refuses everything. It's been stressful.
Wew what a sh!tter
On that critter
What a beauty
Just for the record
I’m talking about the spider
Not you Dave ; )
it’s 118 degrees with the heat index here in Louisiana for the week. Talk about miserable
😳😳
Remember, Dave... americans use Fahrenheit scale - not Celsius, so - 100F = 37.7C
This heatwave seems to have triggered 11 of my Ts & 2 of our snakes to moult/shed! Or its just a coincidence, but there's a couple that were totally unexpected.
Latest was my avic rufa, that moulted yesterday on its side! I sat & watched it the whole time just to make sure it was OK lol. Don't like it when they're not on their backs. My Vagans sling has moulted 3 times so far, twice right side up! I think it's defective 😂
Breed them😊
I have a B klassi less than half an inch DL. Hasn’t ate in 74 days. Room stays around 75-78 degrees
As long as its abdomen is still full I would not worry too much 🙏
@@daveslittlebeasties crazy thing it molted like 5 hrs ago lol
that rock will cushion her landing if she does happen to fall
Hello.
I have small questions about that spider.
Do you have any slings for sale?
I have almost all brachypelma I need Smithi and Baugmgaten to my collection.
Unfortunately not 😭
Hi uncle Dave, I got an Asian forest scorpling that lost one of its claw due to bad molt and I had to amputated it. Will he/she survive?
One of my emperor scorpions lost a claw in a moult and is still going strong and growing well 👍
You love all spiders. Just wondering if you've ever seen an ugly spider???
No 😂😂😂
There is the "ogre" spider, but it's 1 of those ones where its so ugly it's cute😂
Apologies for so many comments lol but I've been wondering, can slings eat springtails? I've got a couple that have been buried away basically since i got them a couple months ago & when i checked, they'd moulted. Just wondering if they've been surviving on them as a food source.
Yes many of our small slings feed on springtails
@@daveslittlebeasties i thought so. Thank you for always being so helpful x
Why such a tall enclosure?
I like the 30s they give us room to creat what we want 🙏
Will a spider grow new hairs or must it wait until a moult to regain that hairy butt.
Most come through after a moult but can still take a while to grow them all back 👍
A very controversial species in Poland due to the fact that Tomasz Bayer crossed two different species of Brachypelma hamorii and Brachypelma boehmei and sold them as Brachypelma baumgarteni, unfortunately Mendoza himself confirmed that nothing of this species was sent to Germany or Poland and based on the materials collected from Mr. Bayer's Facebook you can see that it's clearly not Baumgarten 😁
