A2: 2B hated to keep killing you. It caused her so much pain. The 9S type is a high-end model. They knew you’d discover the truth eventually. But the model designation 2B was just a cover. The official designation is 2E. Number 2, Type E. They are a special class of members design to execute YoRHa units.
@LilyBeta The "truth" was that YoRHa was a lie. The Council of Humanity was made after the creation of YoRHa, and the ultimate goal was a planned obsolescence. The humans on the moon never existed....we were wiped out by the failure of the Gestalt and Replicant projects. We never had the chance to return to our bodies, and the Replicants that lived eventually died off.
@@LilyBeta That's humans are essentially extinct, that android black boxes are essentially machine cores and the entire war against machines was so androids had a purpose.
@@LilyBeta Yorha believed the idea that Humanity was surviving on the moon and would return when the machines were destroyed. In reality, Humanity died out well before the Aliens that would release the Machines arrived. Yorha were created simply to give the androids a fake "purpose" in fighting the Machines. The black boxes the Yorha androids use are recycled Machine cores, since it would be "too cruel" to give them a fresh AI when they were designed to die anyways. Yorha had a back-door installed in the Bunker that would allow the Logic Virus to infiltrate the Bunker in the event Yorha was about to win against the Machines so they wouldn't experience victory and lose all purpose to exist. As such, Yorha were fighting a doomed battle since they were programmed to lose the instant they met the conditions to win.
That's the thing they are not humans they are androids. Mere logic is not enough for them. Its like saying why can't animals talk in our language? The answer is because their species are different. Similarly, androids are not species per se but they are creations of humans, designed only to obey commands. That is their existence. It is shown in alot of talks of 2b and 9s with how 9s asks some carefree questions and 2b replies short or work related or tells 9s to stop asking the questions. It is only once that 2b replies to 9s when he asked her about shopping in a mall and she said after all this is over she would like go buy some stuff and that's the only thing. A2 was one of the first androids and all her friends were killed, it even took her time to rebel. She didn't just do it on a whim she took an insane amount of time to rebel. That is what the writer is trying to say, he is talking about existence at its very core, memories is existence, death is existence, androids being killed and then put back into another body is existence, that is what makes it all bitter sweet its a very sad world. 9s literally goes insane because his grief was too much. But in the end.. the androids become a little bit like humans... they are saved.. after ending E. They have choices now.
He would be on the run and constantly hunted by command if she did. Not to mention command would most likely treat her as an traitor as well. Then that would be the end of the story. The only way to keep these two together is constant suffering. He knew at this point who 2B was he Excepted it as long as it kept 2B and him together. Anything to feel what he had lost. The point is they 9S 2B A2 are more human than we think.
If 2B did that the command will just sent another Executioner Type that will kill 9S instead and if she did try to break out with him they would be on the run like A2 with no lifelines if they are killed. At least if she followed the commands she won't worry on 9S life and her own life till the final mission (dunno if I should say more).
I get that's a valid point. I've read the novels, and I know the truth. Obviously you can't have a plotline without a twist for an impactful humanitarian story. That was the whole idea, but I don't like it because it's a stake in the heart once you KNOW. I'm saying alternatively, she should've disobeyed command regardless if it was risky for 9s's safety. Why did 2B even care about Commander White when they left after the virus, she was the reason why 2B was forced to be covered in blood stain hands. It's unforgivable and corrupt. But that's the bottom line. It's meant to be an existential story I guess.
@@Chucky_the_killerdollWell, it's not commanders fault. She's treated as another "victim" of YoRHa, and she's not a bad person or anything. 2B still looks up to her and understands that 9S has to be killed, so she doesn't hold a Grudge. In fact, the whole thing with Executioner units was only because of how the original 9S created project YoRHa. He hated YoRHa androids and wanted them dead after their purpose had been served (reason for the backdoor). It was of course, also for this reason, that they couldn't have androids learning the truth.

But you knew that.... didn't you.
What exact " _truth_ " ?
I am still confuse of this... stories.

9S似乎非常的喜歡2B😢
2B is a fuckin' psycho. If she really cherished him, she should have set him free regardless of command.
