I have a little patch in the corner of my side yard where it grows naturally so I just harvest from there. I have heard/seen that tap water causes moss to turn brown. I believe you need rain water or distilled water to keep it green. I'm not 100% sure about that but I think so.

Do you reuse potting soil, if so can you use potting soil for different types or kinds of plants.
Sometimes I do, if I'm sure the soil doesn't have knats or anything in it. And I rarely use potting soil.
How are you growing your moss? I found some and put it on some loose seed starting soil, mist it a few times a day but no luck

I rooted a leaf.Massive root system in pot but no growth in 2 seasons. It's just a living leaf and zero growth. That could be a bonsai?
