- The reproductive method of Schefflera plant is mainly cuttings, which is usually carried out from April to September, and the temperature must reach about 20 degrees Celsius when cuttings.
Cut the sturdy branches and cut off the lower leaves, leaving only about 2-3 leaves. Insert the branches into the soil, water them thoroughly, and place them in a suitable temperature place. New roots will grow after one month.

Wow that looks easy I have 6 stem's in 2 different pots both are growing crazy I was already considering repotting which I still plan on doing however I will also cut off some of the stem's and repot those as well thanks for the tip

... the temperature makes a real growing difference ... good soil helps tho ... try a cutting this summer ... use rooting hormone if you have it ... shade from harsh sun as needed ... does grate in bright indirect light ... zone 6 here ...
Cut and plant, most of the leaves will fall off but it will eventually grow.

It's hard to say, I haven't tried it. But I think it would be better to put it in a cool place where the sunlight is scattered.
I am trying to propagate cuttings right now. I want to see if the tree can survive zone 6. Some particular "tropical" plants do. So unless I try I don't know.
Zone 6 here too. My mothers day plant has dropped leaves since I got it . I'm going to try this as a last resort to save some of it. Being a gift I feel bad not sure the cause

@Weronika Baranowicz I noticed that for scheffleras, the roots grow faster in soil, then put clear bag over it to create humidity.
