Purdy has been okay. You cannot put this team on his shoulders game to game. Can he win a game on his own? I think so. But, he needs to...Lucas talks like people are saying get rid of him. Nobody said anything about that. They are evaluating short term future. He missed the fact that Shanahan is still there. We cannot foresee what he will get contractually. Likely not top end. But, he will get market fair value. That like the panel said...forget about team-friendly. His agent is doing the deal, period. He is not Tom Brady. Stop it.
Agents don't just get to decide what the player wants in contracts. Agents are hired BY the players, not the other way around. Agents DO NOT own players. In fact, Purdy doesn't even need an agent if that's the route he wishes to take.
Daniel Jones is another of many examples of why players should never take team friendly deals. The giants are benching him to ensure that he doesn't get hurt. That way, they do not have to pay him next season. Players should get all the money that they can because the teams will always look out for their best interests.
The QB market is what it is Brock Purdy’s agent isn’t going to let him sign for less than what he’d make as a free agent. They could hold this season against him in contract negotiations but despite the team underperforming Purdy’s individual efficiency stats are actually pretty good and on average many analysts think he’s playing his best ball despite the team’s turmoil. The Niners are in a weird place they can’t blame the season on the QB and just cut ties but if Purdy is playing good enough to win and they’re not winning then what’s going on and how do you pay that. Ultimately I think it’ll come down to if they want to have Purdy and have consistency and the QB position as they rebuild the team they pay him market value. Or they think that the Shanahan offense is truly the system and they don’t pay him trade him to a QB hungry team for a couple 2nds maybe a 1st (what a return on investment they flipped a 7th round pick for top draft capital) and then sign a Sam Darnold or maybe Rodgers and make a final swing for the SB with this offensive core and then just start from scratch for the future and hope the gamble pays off ala the Rams
@@lisaac9477 sure and if there’s one quarterback in the league that would put winning and legacy over pedigree and money it’s probably Brock-he turned down Alabama to play at Iowa State for similar reasons. When I compare Purdy to Jalen Hurts, they have a similar body of work. Yet there are major key differences. Jalen led an Eagles team to playoffs when they were only projected 4 wins. Because of his Dual threat ability any RB can eat next to Jalen. And if a WR loves the deep ball like AJ and Smitty, they will eat too. Both AJ and Smith had back to back 1000 yards. Miles Sanders and Swift had 1000 yards. Now you Give Jalen Saquon..... Saquon is an MVP level threat now. Purdy don't elevate that offense it's vice versa.
I mean Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle put up 1000 yard season last year, Jennings is on pace to this season despite missing games for injury, Kittle has scored nearly the same amount of TDs in the less than 2 full seasons Purdy’s been QB than his entire career as a Niner before, CMC nearly had a 1500 rushing yards last year with over 500 yards receiving too…the sample size of Purdy’s influence on the Niners offense is still fairly small but I to say he hasn’t elevated their offense doesn’t seem to be true
@@binalip1669 Purdy was put next to stars like Kittle, CMC, Deebo, Trent and a top Defense in 2022. That's not impressive and hence why he has doubters. If y'all miss the playoffs this year then that answers the question, Can Purdy lead this offense without his Avengers? Jalen Hurts did so in 2021 with Miles Sanders, Reager, Smitty and Godert. He had a bad defense and a new head coach.
@@kggraham9397 is anyone doubting Joe Burrow isn’t an incredible generational QB when the Bengals are going to miss the playoffs this year due to rest of the team underperforming? But you’re also conflating two separate points-can Purdy elevate the offense vs can he overcome an underperforming injured offense, a shaky defense, and most notably in all their losses but 2 this year an abysmal worst in the league special teams unit? I think he’s done the first, the second remains to be seen and I don’t think they’ll make the playoffs I just don’t know if that’s an indictment of him yet.

@lisaac9477 listen Brock is a decent starting QB, Brock is nowhere close to winning a SB anytime. He's not even a top 10 QB
@@twanwill3358 He's top 10 for sure. The qbs I would take above him are Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Stroud, Herbert, Stafford, Love, and Daniels
Nick takes this year been TRASH 😂 then try tell everyone else about a time they were wrong man shut up
Ok listen , you was wrong bud move on 😂😭
Purdy has been okay.
I mean many above average QB’s have got the bag. Daniel Jones, Dak….
Brock prudy in my opinion, an above average QB,
Daniel Jones is another of many examples of why players should never take team friendly deals. The giants are benching him to ensure that he doesn't get hurt. That way, they do not have to pay him next season. Players should get all the money that they can because the teams will always look out for their best interests.
They could’ve won a few games they’ve lost if they had cleaned up special teams
His agent isn't the deciding factor. The PLAYER makes the final decision on contracts.
@@lisaac9477 sure and if there’s one quarterback in the league that would put winning and legacy over pedigree and money it’s probably Brock-he turned down Alabama to play at Iowa State for similar reasons. But I think it’s hard to expect a guy that’s been on one of the most historically team friendly QB deals in the history of the NFL to take 20M less than market value again. And any good agent should warn him against it unless there’s something to protect his interests in the deal. I think the 49ers front office is one of the best if anyone can figure out a creative solution to benefit both parties it’s them but I think fans have this idea that Brock will be offered 45M and just sign at the dotted line and I think that’s unrealistic
Ohh but the bengals gonna make the playoffs tho 😂 keep the same energy nick
can ppl just give seattle + Geno credit for winning that 49ers game instead of saying they got lucky. or that the 49ers lost that game moreso than giving Seattle credit. everybody is trying to tell me 49ers lost that game moreso than seattle won it. 80 yards in 2+ minutes and need a TD, and Geno wins it on a 13 yard TD run with 12 seconds left. go GENO!!!!!!!!
No
7:20 Lol Brock prudy is no way near worth 65m, 45m at best
Purdy is mid. Time to face the facts
Why they can't understand that I don't know oh I know why because they believe in Kyle with him being the real deal nope
@@roemellobell I understand you know nothing of football.
@ well let’s see I saw Joe win the superbowl with out Jerry then I seen him win 3 more and hold on I saw Steve get that monkey off his back you are right I don’t know anything about football silly human 💯
@@roemellobelllol you are acting like Montana didn’t have a stacked team haha
@ no he didn’t did you look at the first superbowl he didn’t have Jerry or a great running back but joe was special he made them look good who did Brock make look good just tell me who kittle cmc Ba Debo juice no he didn’t but tell me
are the Niners the New York Yets of the West? big expectations but nothing to show for it. I think that the biggest issue is the skim of the games specially in the fourth quarter.
Never watch football ever again.
I can't, I have been hooked since my daddy used to throw me up in the air while seating on his lap every time the Niners scored a touch down.
@@jakeosit-u5xthey are the NY Jets of the NFC u should never watch The NFL ever again
I’m not saying Purdy is remotely close to Burrow I didn’t even say he is carrying the offense I just pointed out that given the limited sample size-hes literally only in his second full year as a starter-his team seems to be better with him as QB.
@@binalip1669 Deebo also had 1000 all-purpose yards.
Except Jalen hurst can barely muster 200yds a game. Barkley IS the reason they are winning. The defense IS the reason KC is winning. Henry IS the reason Baltimore wins. You give ANY QB a 1000yd rusher with any real skill and a QB's job is simply easier. It's why Football is the greatest team sport. No one is doing anything on their own...NO ONE
Purdy cant carry a team
These are the Levels of QB in the NFL
Legendary
Great
Good
Ok/Average
Bad
Daniel Jones
Purdy is a Good QB
Your QB must be great or Legendary to win a superbowl
UNLESS you have a Super Team around that "Good" QB on a cheap contract.
The moment you pay a "Good" QB Great amd Legendary money your fucked.
Purdy is good
Not Great or Legendary
So, Burrows, Allen, Lamar are good? And Trent Dilfer is legendary?
@lisaac9477
Way to reply with sarcasm but not actually read what I said.
I said you can win with a good QB surrounded by a SUPER TEAM and that QB isn't making big money.
Trent was surrounded by a SUPER TEAM 1 of the best defenses in history.
Nice try though... you thought
Niners will make playoffs they'll still win division, like what cardinals is doing but still don't trust them
Delusion there no making the playoffs smh
How come the video isn’t showing. Waste of a video
If they don’t make the playoffs people going say in Super Bowl hangover
So? Does this upset you? If so, that's sad...
@ no why will it upset me when my team is going be in the playoffs
Generally agree with you overall. My only thing with Purdy and the contract is the fact he lives in Silicon Valley. It’s crazy to say but $40mil isn’t even much in Silicon Valley. He might look for top dollar because of where he lives, it’s hard to understand how expensive it is here unless you live here, it sucks
Hahahaha, $40 million isn't a lot hahahaha. I live in California, it is expensive, but not so expensive that $40 million is "not a lot of money."
Now, do I think he will sign for $40 million? No. Would Purdy he set for the rest of his life if he did, yes.
The 49ers are the NY Jets of the NFC
Nope. That would be the Chicago Bears.
Nope. The 49ers still have the #2 OFFENSE IN THE LEAGUE.
Dude u know ur lame for this
He’s been wrong about the jets and 49ers 😂😭 he will never admit when he’s wrong but knows a take nick said in 2022 😭
