My bestfriend (now boyfriend) told me how important this song is to him. He refused to play me the song until it was the right moment. He said after everytime we hung out he listened to it. A few weeks ago he played me this song in his truck as he held me. I may have cried just a liiiittle bit.
Our love for eachother grows stronger everyday and I can't wait to see where God takes our relationship. I love him so much.

It's too bad he's gone. Music is legendary. Growing up in the rodeo world and being a former contestant, he would come out and sing for free. Chris had no problem getting behind the chutes with the cowboys and not afraid to get dirty. Back in Jan of 1998, at the IPRA Finals in Oklahoma City, me and my travel partners got to sit with Chris and the band at a steak house. Down to earth and we all had a great time. Outstanding man and I felt honored to meet him and the band. He is really missed.

    Just look at you, girl
    Standin' here beside me
    Starlight on your hair
    Lookin' like a dream
    I dreamed somewhere
    And look at me, girl
You got me actin' just like a lover
In an old time picture show
And how I got the part
    I just don't know
But it's written all across your face
    Plain as it can be
You're the one that I was lookin' for
Now you're all that I can see
    You mean everything to me
And I'd do anything to have you stay forever
    I'm an ordinary man
But I feel like I could do anything in the world
When I look at you, girl
    Just look at you, girl
    Walkin' here beside me
    Misty morning light
I see my own reflection in your eyes
And just smile at me, girl
With eyes that tell a story
    That words can never say
Tellin' me your love is gonna stay
And we're standin' right together now
    In everything we do
And if my world should come apart
    I'll still be lovin' you

I bought my first Chris Ledoux music on 8-track tape from a feed store in Mountain Home, Idaho in 1977. I have loved his music from that day on.

Yes, Those old 8-tracks got converted to cassettes and then to C.D.'s,
Every time we went to the big city, I would have to stop off at the local western supply and feed store, and get his latest tape.

Really in 1977 Idaho I was 6 years old then and remember him I lived in Orchards Washington at that time helping my father work on our vehicles, He always had a radio playing in the background in our garage and eating bolagnie sandwiches with car grease on the Bread! Best times ever had with my Father!!!

Chris LeDoux is my favorite Country Artist by far, followed by Hank Williams JR, and his daddy Hank Willians Sr., Charlie Pride, Dolly Parton, and Barbara and Louise Mandell.
My two favorite songs by Mr. LeDoux are "Hooked on an 8 Second Ride", "This Cowboy Hat", "Look at You Girl", "Cadillac Ranch" and everything else.
