- These are the four best study tactics that I have found for studying for any counselor licensure exam. As I am going through the process of studying for the NCE (National Counselor Examination) and CPCE (Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Exam) I wanted to take you all on my journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and the steps that I think are the most helpful for me in order to get there.

For the Behavior App did you miss a lot of questions at first? I got a lot in the purple book but the app was so difficult for me and I stay at a 60%. Not sure if that was other’s experience as well?

Thank you for sharing these study tools. I have began my search for great options. I have heard of the purple book and know people who used it and they swear it helped them, but I also see a lot reviews online saying it did not do much for them and it was nothing like the actual questions on the exam . I read great reviews about mometrix and heard apps being great option. So thank you again !
Congratulations!😊 how can you listen to a CD only for a computer?
They have a separate CD player insert for Mac’s not sure for HP
How did you do and which tool did you find more favorable or that helped the most?
I just got my scores back recently and passed! I found the audio tapes and the app to be the most beneficial for me.

The tapes were like $190😩
I failed the test this past Saturday for the third time, and I used all of these materials 😪
Keep going! There’s another resource out that is better called the “Greenbook” I’ll drop another video on this topic again in due time, providing more effective resources.
