FUKUOKA ITINERARY | Food, Sights, Day Trip Ideas | Yanagawa, Beppu, Yufuin

- Fukuoka is the largest city in Japan's Southern Island of Kyushu. If you're looking to explore a bit of Japan's country side, while still being close to a major city, this is THE place to visit. Fukuoka is close to many different cities and prefectures, but in this trip I decided to just check out Yanagawa, Beppu, and Yufuin.
Here is my itinerary from my Fukuoka trip in October as well as my recommendations for food, sights, and day trip ideas.
Day 1

Day 2
- Day trip to Yanagawa
- Yanagawa Kanko Kaihatsu K.K

- Dazaifu (on the way back to Fukuoka)

- Beppu (can be a day trip or you can stay 1 night)

Wow, I never knew there were lots to see in Fukuoka area. I initially planned a 2 day trip there(1 day being the travel day back to osaka) but I think I’m gonna extend it haha, thank you for sharing this awesome video!

Fukuoka -> Yanagawa: Nishitetsu-Tenjin-Omuta Line, Fukuoka -> Beppu: JR Sonic Nichirin, Beppu -> Yufuin: Bus 36.
Great vlog! Will definitely be adding some of the places you've featured to my itinerary. May I just ask when did you visit the Floral Village in Yufuin? I'm interested in visiting, but some sources online are telling me that it's now permanently closed.

When you took the no. 36 bus from Beppu to Yufuin, did the bus have luggage storage? By the way, I rate the Maplestory soundtrack
Bus 36 did not have separate luggage storage. It was a standard everyday bus, so you would have to hold your luggage near your seat if anything.

Were you able to buy an IC card?
From my understanding, IC cards can't be purchased anymore due to chip shortage, but you can get an IC card on your phone which I personally use as well. If your credit card doesn't work to charge the IC card, most ticket booths at major train stations have recharging capability for your mobile IC card.
