@@rubydacherryiscute She's also breaking the line, her leg during the illusion spin was badly bent. She is not holding out her moves but running through them. You clearly find her wonderful and of course her technique is strong. But for me her movement doesn't do anything for me. She has good technique & strong elements which is why she's Olympic champion. But this is not the best version of the Black Swan I've ever watched. This young woman is at the top of her sport and she is a champion. But personally, for me I don't prefer this program. It doesn't connect with me or my heart. It doesn't draw me into the program.
Finally!! This program is a MASTERPIECE! The emotions included in it are complicate but Alina interpreted so well. Just imagine a 15 year old on her first Olympics overcome all the nerves and shines as a black swan.

02:00 wooow never caught that she's changing the sequins on her arms from white to black, such beautiful detail.
This is how short programs should be. Concise, expressive, lyrical yet explosive.
What makes me sad, specially now that she is taking a break from skating and perhaps never coming back again, is that during the time she was skating and winning it all, she was not rightfully celebrated as the wonderful, talented athlete that she is. And she also didn't receive enough recognition for her achievements, compared to the reception that, for example Kostornaja is getting nowadays (what she also definitely deserves!). Instead Alina got a lot of hate, because Medvedeva and all the drama around her. I think it wasn't fair for Alina to receive that treatment. I love her, I think she is something special and I wish her all the best for her future!
There is no reason why Alina shoudn't return to competitive skating. She is still training and she very precisely said she is not considering retirement.
That is why I love Japan, they was the first who support Alina like an olympic champion that she is, Rusia don't deserve Alina.

She had problems with this program for the whole year, but when she finally nailed it at Euros, I knew she will be unstoppable at Olympics.

Her performances are still amazing, outro is top tier, and esmeralda is amazing, it may be because I know French, but she has so many good ones, I can’t find one I don’t really like.
Perfection. She has such a mature understanding of music. When the music gets chaotic and fast she perfectly reflected this in her step sequence. Even the last spin right at the end the rotations during the I-Spin are perfeclty timed to the last echoing of the music. Seriously one of the best SPs ever created.
She is honestly the most beautiful skater I have ever seen. The way she points her toes and extends her legs make her seem like the most elegant and stunning ballet dancer. Her legs seem like they are 10 kilometers long. Everything is so beautiful and lean and fluid. A true once in a lifetime gifted girl!
Alina on ice… wow. i got goosebumps watching this. the music, her graceful moves and her jumps… just wow. amazing.
She struggled with this program during the season but was able to show the best performance at the Olympics! I have literal chills just watching it

Very dramatic and breathtaking. One of the best short programs in history of figure skating.
This was phenomenal, the best SP in FS I've ever seen. Her skating & technical skills, artistry, choreography - out of the world. I don't think anyone can come close to what she created on that ice for a very long time. The Queen!

People need to understand that this is actually a fact, the best short program in the modern skate, not only because it holds the record or because the amazing Alina skating abilities but the program it self that reinterpretation of a white becoming the black swan, it had to be precise and magnificent portrayed by a capable skater that captures the young the innocence the intern and self fight and the transformation and of course good musicality without blend it to the dramatic side but the magnificent one, only Alina could give ot justice. So is pretty accurate consider this, one of the best program a short program performance ever

@@tatianelois6450 the short world record is currently held by Valieva. Talking about Alina’s short program, honestly it’s mostly a matter of opinion. As an exemple, Kamila and Anna’s SP are amazing, full of emotions and technique. I prefer them over Alina’s. This may be your favourite SP, but set aside the technical value, artistry’s appreciation is proper to each of us (music, dress, expression etc…) For me I prefer Anna. She skated two perfect programs beautifully, with a lot of highly technical elements.
@@bluedasher74 quads are not allowed for ladies in short programmes, only in free skate.
But even still, the answer to your question is NO, many skaters have broken Zagitova's record since then, the current record holder in women's SP is Kamila Valieva's "in Memoriam" with 90.46 points.
@@bluedasher74 but with that said, I still think Zagitova's Black swan is one of the most creative, exciting, brave and cinematic short programmes of all time.

That was absolutely amazing,the jumps are smooth,the coreography is beautiful and emotional,and Alina makes such a wonderful work. She's not skating, she's interpreting, she's dancing, she's making art! Wish i knew her before,but i only started to be interested in ice skating last year

Как же я скучаю по ней такой...Читаю комментарии и понимаю, что только у нас в России ее победа оспаривались и поднимались споры - во всем мире чемпионство Алины было очевидно и неоспоримо.
с ней никто не сравнится! Алина -уникум! Да, еще гнобили ребенка свои же! Эта Женя Медведева даже рядом не стояла.
Потому что в России все боготворили Медведеву.

Это как в притче, когда в окно смотрели двое,один увидел дождь,очищающий всю природу,а другой -тучи и слякоть.Как то так....
И до сих пор её преследуют наши хейтерские СМИ: отслеживают каждое движение и высасывают негатив. Кто этим руководит? Алина - золото, а золото и на грязи блестит!

Спортсмены все молодцы, но Алину смотрю просто со слезами на глазах. Это просто звезда, изюминка. Ещё не скоро такое будет. Не только глаза радует, но в душе оставляет след. Такие люди уникальны. Все её награды 100% заслуженны.
Единственная программа которая вызывает подобные ощущение - Ангел Косторной
