Physical gold is an antidote to anxiety. I have heard _many_ times, “I sleep more soundly knowing that I have gold.”
Agreed!
2 Silver coins 🪙 in your hand make a sweet relaxing music 😊
So true
Exactly right!
FACT
For me, this is the most lonely hobby out there. You can’t tell anyone in fear of it getting around and threatening security. It’s also seriously addictive. It can get a hold of you like a drug, the difference is you’ll get your money back or in most cases more. Great video.
Well put.
Great video. I actually came from the other side. After a difficult divorce, painful joint custody and a special needs child who requires residential care there were so many things that went wrong. Its been a long, lonely road. But I keep getting up each day. Trying to be a little healthier one step at a time. And stacking has given me something else that I can tangibly work towards to help reduce anxiety. And some new friends in this space. Best wishes to all
You got that right, very addictive!
It's a hobby made for a hermit like mwah 😭 the dummies that surround me are repulsed by silver ounces even felt disrespected by giving them 2 options of payment the other op was a McDonald's happy meal or a candy bar and a 12 oz coke the better option was 1 silver oz round 😂 so i doubt if i leave out my 2 lb bismuth for them it wont be touched but my ribeye will be 😢
@@michaelmccoy2847can relate what possible pain angers and anxiety you've been suffering just dealing with court split up with a child but cant fathom the hardships of a special angel too!
Stay up and frosty Buddy what dont kill us makes us stronger ,
God only knows why❤
I also carry, what most would consider, excess insurance coverage, and have a basement full of supplies to ensure my family is taken care of on the ridiculously low probability something catastrophic occurs. Call me a worrier, or prepper, or fool. Don’t care. Ensuring the welfare of my family is job 1 for me. And I’m proud to say I’m thoughtful about that, including my gold supply.
That isn’t being a worrier; that’s being prepared. Cheers!
Anxiety is too much future thinking and depression is too much past thinking
Yes! And both will destroy the time you have in the present.
The more gold and silver I have, the less anxiety I have...😂
That cannot be anymore true! More so gold! I still felt anxious with silver until I just bought an oz of gold!
This is the way 🤜🤛
true dat
Loved this one. One of your better videos. I remember, back in the day, the door to door insurance/vacuum cleaner salesmen that used to play on isolated housewives. You could spot a hustle a mile away. Used car salesmen always gave me that slippery feeling. I used to farm. Vultures circling everywhere, ready to pick your carcass. I’ve been schmoozed and swindled over the years. My grandfather once told me, “Well boy, a good education don’t come cheap”. I certainly got educated by a few good ones. Age and experience has brought some wisdom and self insurance along with the self assurance. Precious metals are a lonely hobby in a way. That’s why I look for your videos. Thank you. This was a good one. Keep it up.
Thank you. Wasn’t sure how it would go over. Cheers!
The one piece of advice that my grandfather gave me was when Dad and I went over to their house for a visit. Gramps was out in the
driveway, doing something under the hood of his '56 Ford sedan. I walked over and asked him what we was doing. He said, "Changing
the oil". I thought about that for a few seconds and asked him why he was doing that. He replied, "Because oil's cheap and engines ain't."
I never forgot that bit of advice and changed my car's engine oil at the recommended times or sooner if it looked dirty. Same with all the
filters. Thanks to that, I've had very few problems with my cars, so "Thanks, Gramps!"
My only anxiety is that due to frequent long term moving abroad, I need to always worry about different countries and airlines regulations 😢
Apart from that, it's such a fun & long-term plan that nothing else matters
🤜🤛
This insight is so rare in a content creator. One of the many level headed reasons that I subscribe to your channel. I truly appreciate what you’re doing with these videos
Thank you!
Im a very strong advocate against the doom and gloom voices in the stacking community. Over my past couple of decades on the internet so many people claim the end of society as we know in someway or another, and guess what it has never happened. I truly despise people that try and manipulate others based on fear. Great video.
It bothers me too. Cheers!
@@DrSchorSir,... You can't even spell "Mayan".. 💀🤦♂️
I have greatly enjoyed both collecting and more recently stacking. As I no longer have family, during Christmas I will have a couple weeks off and am hoping for a good snowy day. When I was a child, on those days my grandfather would take out his collection, show me numerous coins and each time pick out a few different ones from Germany, Austria to America. All countries of our ancestry, then tell me its origin and history. Always while playing 5 card stud with a very old, tattered deck of coca-cola cards. All while we conversed in the language of the old country. No matter the many times we did this I always enjoyed it. I plan on such a day over Christmas to pull out my collection, especially those treasures he left me and remember the stories and people long gone as well as those times which were much better. Fear has no place in my life nor does it motivate me. The world and life is as it is. I can only do what I can to make a difference in my life. Collecting or stacking is both for pleasure and preparation. Anything beyond my control is to be endured or enjoyed and dealt with as it comes. Stacking is a tool to make what may come more easily dealt with.
Spoken like a true stoic. I like that approach a lot. The onboard memories are a great bonus. Happy Holidays in advance!

i want to have the complete perth mint lunar series 2 with 1/10th gold and 1oz silver but i dont have the ox. not sure what else im missing but ive got dragon, rabbit, tiger so far.
i may just wait and get them as they come out to commemorate when i started stacking until i complete the zodiac instead of trying to find some of the older stuff.
i think that ox is attainable though so its tempting....
Thanks. Its good advice.

My plan for the coming SHTF event is to buy expensive tickets and take the family to a Formula 1 Grand Prix race like old gloom and doom Tim does on the Yankee stacking channel.
I appreciate the counter point. Thanks!

Great video brother thanks for the info 🥃🥃🥃
Thanks Nate!

I have looked at the company valerum and the gold monetary notes they make for themselves. They put more gold into those. They have a melt value starting from $3 to $60. More then goldbacks. I'm looking to get those. Along with stacking silver. Thoughts?
Why do I feel like this guy is talking to me. Generating this quality for this long would be a challenge. Kudos.
😄
Agreed. It's a bit like having a fireside chat on interesting topics with an old and dear friend. 🙂
Great content as usual. Always enjoy your channel. Personally, and currently I'm a buyer. Gold around $2k and silver under $30 are both still bargains in my humble opinion.
Thanks!
Another great video, thanks for keeping it real.

I've been looking everywhere for that 1 oz Ox coin. You're fortunate to have picked it up.
A friend who teaches economics told me silver is going to really get crazy, the thing about selling is, Morgans are so beautiful to me, a time when America was great.
Always love watching your videos! I've been watching from close to the beginning and your the best on RUclips!!
Hey, thank you!
I think hypervigilance leads to analyzing the weaknesses in your plans. This is a small part of my portfolio but im sure ill be kicking myself if the shtf and i couldve gotten more. I have been stacking for 24 years so Ive heard its the end so many times I probably wouldnt believe it when it happens.
Yeah, the little boy has cried wolf three…thousand times now. 😄
Prepers are crazy... but not as crazy as they used to be..
@@seanoconnor1478 Those who are unprepared for just about everything are no better. I still remember that older lady in

@edb3877 right on man. I'm afraid the hardest times maybe coming to the people least equipped to handle it. Most people can't even help themselves let alone anyone else.
I can't wait to start my acquisition plan next month. I've been stacking silver for a couple of years, now, but I think 2024 is going to be a good year for gold-- not that it's ever a bad year for buying!
Cheers! 🍻
@DrSchor My monthly budgeted allowance for silver going to gold instead.
An excellent post. There are many different reasons to stack AU & AG, and DOOM is a legitimate reason BUT I don't think it's at the top of many folks list.
I got there from numismatics and I'll say stacking quickly took pole position. For me it's so comforting to have an immediately accessible safety net.
Thanks so much for the share. Top drawer all the way.
Thanks!
Infrequent, meaty videos such as yours are welcome. A multitude of videos from folks like Slayer, Ron, and Sal are full of inconsequentialities.
Excellent shit
I live in Canada, so I stack PMs in case the PM does something draconian to my bank account.
I appreciate your content. We all need a dose of the truth. And a bit about the coins. I love strategy’s in stacking gold and silver. I know I can always can count on a stack of beautiful coins

Doom scrolling is like hearing a wolf howling in a distant valley - it might not cause an issue, but it could...
The keys to being a stress-free stacker who can tune out all the daily doom & gloom and other noise (IMHO): Have no debt. Stack with $ you don’t need for at least 5 years. Lastly, keep your metals secure and tell only those that you feel must know and you trust unquestionably.
Kinda sucks when you can't even tell your own family eh?
@@toivotorvinen Kinda sucks for you if you can’t.
That's true. When downstream family members have substance issues it becomes rock and hard place time. Easier to tune out daily noise then to tune out family issues. Heavy burden to carry.☹️
The reason i watch your channel among others and even some of the hypsters (within reason) is to keep myself centered. Since i don't talk to anyone around me about my stack or how often/what i stack or anything else about precious metals unless it's more of a conversation about asset diversification or macro economics, i need to come to channels like this to stay grounded and to help with who is pushing what narrative. But over time i have learned what channels really matter for the most part so when i started out and i went to channels like Yankee stacking at first they make some sense but then over time as i watched the channel it's really all about that SHTF moment with some political commentary mixed in with his LCS owner and lastly a small concentration on informative stacking. So i eventually left when i found myself having more and more argumentative issues with the channel (among others). While the SHTF stuff is "shocking" and gets eyeballs it's not wholly realistic to stack and then worry about a stack inside a REAL SHTF moment because no one is going to give a shit about precious metals if the US and Russia or China have a nuclear war or immediately following a TRUE DEVESTATING economic collapse, it's all going to be about survival so while it's not a 0% possibility issue to worry about, a true SHTF moment really is for all intents and purposes almost a 0% relationship to precious metals and thus is just a "interesting" narrative folks talk about to earn some money and/or push sales.
Well done video,excellent content.
Yes. It's addictive! I do love it though. Enjoying the price swings presently. Hopefully people are not anxious? Sit back and smile!😁
🤜🤛
took my wife with me to the LCS this week as I was converting some silver to gold (my "minimum" amount of silver just keeps getting smaller and the tube of 1/4 oz AGEs just keeps getting fuller) ...she's not a stacker, but she is good at math and picked up on how well the owner was treating me on the sale of the silver and the purchase of the gold...it was a lesson in "here's where you go and he's who you talk to" if she ever needs to sell the shiny stuff in the safe.
Doom and gloom is a state of mind and as a RUclipsr myself I know how the game is (my niche is wildly different!) and I for sure know and see the tactics used to get peoples eyeballs on their vids. Fear is a big motivator and feeds the algorithm. I enjoy your level headed content and take on things.
Quick peek at your content and I can see your production value puts me to shame here. 😂 Appreciate you watching despite that!
oh I appreciate that, but it's a totally different niche - purely visual so I have to spend copious amounts of time on the production itself or people won't watch (like you said about your unboxing example for your channel) - I have been a long time follower of your channel, I know how much work you would have to do to script, record and make it sound natural - I "listen" to pretty much every video you make! Keep up the great work 100K next for you :)@@2is1gold

Thanks!
I see months and months of beautiful back up right there. For me it would be years. Great quote for this.
Thank you for the reminders and guidance toward sanity.
🤜🤛
I’m new to stacking (about two months now) and I’m just having fun with it and enjoying the fact that I’m saving now by doing it!
No need to worry folks! As the Bible says, who can add one hair to their head by worrying and if God takes care of the birds, He’ll take care of you too, even if it’s not “your perfect plan” of what that means, He knows best!
It's amazing how many doom and gloom outlets there are, but all you have to do to learn to ignore it is follow the money behind the message and look at a chart
I won't lie, I have watched an occasional doom video. That said I generally find them distasteful and I can't stomach the hard core doomers. It's not my thing and it never will be. If I want my gold to do anything I want it to sooth me and relieve my anxiety, not add to it.
Another thing that bugs me and goes hand-in-hand with the doom preachers are the pseudo conspiracy theory videos like "The COMEX doesn't have enough silver". That may be true, but I've been hearing that since the late 90s when I first started buying metals. If the COMEX is out of, or low on silver they've gotten away with it that way for a long time. I appreciate the level headed approach. Thanks!
Some of the stories have been told for so long that the fact they aren’t true is lost. 😄
If I were a betting man, I would wager that stackers are considered by their friends to be risk-takers. Seems to me its risky NOT having some metals.I would also bet that most stackers consider themselves to be more introverted, more loners.
Well said

So Mr Jones…. gold buffalos and 1/4 gold eagles are the central part of my collection per your recommendation …. I also want larger pieces of gold. What does one recommend? I can’t find much info on the 5oz plus pieces.
I can appreciate your excitement but big gold is slow gold. That said, Prince had 67, 10 oz bars at the time of his death. Pretty baller. My guess is that the original discovery was a bit higher than 67, but I’m not judging.
What do you mean by slow gold?? So just stick with the coins??
@@SLAPSHOT_ooo I took that to mean that it sells slowly, probably due to the limited number of buyers.
Great video. Lonely is the best way to go with this hobby. And pace yourself. If you get a couple ounces in your possession you have more than most out there in the general population.
💯
I’ve been a lot less stressful since I’ve started stacking, I’m a new stacked and up to about a pound of silver now in junk and generic rounds
I have silver, looking to get some gold, there was spot a while back where I could have gotten an oz when it was around 1800+ I didn’t because it would have made life a little difficult to do that. Still looking to buy hopefully these prices chill out right around 2g
Well you only grow when you are uncomfortable
Every time I see gold and silver, I smile!
Nice video. Silence is golden. Keep your bizness to yourself
🤜🤛

Concur. Only respond to local conditions. When it does go down, you have what you have. Not a whole lot you can do when all sides are lying.
🤜🤛
I'm pretty happy with my addiction. :-)
I never noticed really, but I guess you are right. I do feel anxiety a bit.
Doom is a cruel mistress. 😄
There is a particular temperament associated with stacking. Anxious, driven, independent, non conformist. No one ever talked about it until you did. I hope you’ll explore other psychological topics in your fine channel.
🤜🤛
Just look at this as a checkpoint video that was perhaps a bit overdue in hindsight. You put one out every so often, intentional or not and is often timely. If there is any anxiety its perhaps from those concerned about the price running away from them. A grounded reminder every once in while is a good thing.
The vibration gets loud enough that it needs to be addressed now and then. 😄
I love your levelheaded take on this space. Such a breath of fresh air
Thanks!
Excellent show as always!
Thanks!
I see with the rising value of bullion dealers previously purchased inventory the premiums have come down.
Premiums were coming down for a while. Spot price aside, it’s been a buyer’s market. Cheers!
Metals make me anxious. Not buying them ... But liquidating them at a fair price when the time comes. My LCS seems sketchy. Not found one yet that will pay more than 90% of spot. They're few and far between in my neck of the woods.
I've seen people mention getting good prices selling back to some of the online bullion dealers. I've never tried it myself though. Apmex and SD do.
Looking on SD's site they actually have a chart of what they typically buy and at what price.
That's the first time I've looked at the Buy prices from an online dealer. I'll have to analyze my stacking goals and alter if necessary.
If you were going based on selling back to SD, for Gold the best bet is Eagles, or generic 1 oz gold bars ($2067 for Rand on Liberty Coin). With the $0 buyback you'd only loose $37 selling back, all prices remaining same. Where for these 1oz gold choices (based on the lowest prices I could find online, not from SD) you'd loose this much as of today: -$55 gold eagle/britannia, -$59 Canada Maple Leaf, -$64 Pamp Fortuna.
Back when Doomsday Preppers was on the air, a younger brother of mine got me watching it. I had been already putting back food for just in case. I then also started putting back water and other things. Good info as always.
Past on lunar p dragon this Gold hike run and op 2lb bismuth for 60$ and ¼ oz palladium 414$ still saved on monthly ¼oz Gold coin 😊
If money Break Down becomes worthless, war is Next

Emotion (like anxiety, anger etc.) is a choice we make, not something that happens to us. It can be challenging to do, but i recommend that everyone consciously steer their emotion in a positive direction. Cheers.
Absolutely, and well-put.
Somebody has been reading Marcus Aurelius!
I appreciate this video. Digital high five with some stank on it!! 👍💪🙏
Ha, thanks! ✊
PM's are a hedge, an insurance policy. Not an investment, not a way to get rich, and not the complete answer to a possible collapse like some are very anxious about. Having an insurance policy is conservative and wise. If you view them as such, it is not a histrionic reaction, just a well considered conservative measure.
I have a question about selling gold - do dealers and coin shops always pay spot price? So when you need to sell, are you not at their mercy?
Just keep doing your thing, that is why I watch! Hobby, fun and addictive!
All you say is true, I justify my purchases as more of insurance than anything else. Peace of mind.
Good approach 🤜🤛
An absolutely perfect message! I have unsubscribed to all the doomers. Fear sells and most of them are trying to do just that. I want to stack/buy based on knowledge not the emotion of fear. I cannot put in words just how much I appreciate your levelheaded and well thought out messages via this medium.
Thank you!
It's been my experience that good people use reason and experience to motivate others towards worthy goals. Those of evil intent tend to use the tools of evil, which is to say the base emotions of fear, greed, jealousy, anger, etc. I watch this channel very often and look forward
to each video. Not that every topic is of interest to me but most are so tend to be a good viewing experience.
These days, I am happy with my current stack. My silver stack was completed in 2019. My gold stack is about 75% done, so I am still
working on that. I think that a recession in 2024 will occur but have no idea whether it will be mild or wild. I am prepared in either case,
so it's all good. Would like to see a nice decline in the price of gold so I can put a serious dent in the stack deficit. Gold prices over $2k
an oz. are a real downer for me. Yeah, I can still afford more gold but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it costs so much. Don't
know if I will get over that or just settle down a little and be happy with what I have. I'd like to sell some silver and use that cash to buy
more gold but the 85:1 GSR is not helping much with that. Half that or less would be good, though.
I honestly only watch to find out why I needed to worry
Maybe you need to worry about people telling you to worry.
What gives me a little bit of anxiety and stress is when the market opens at 6:00 p.m. Eastern standard Time. Gold has put a lot of my friends into so much credit card debt now they can't get out. Be very careful with gold, if you don't have the means, stay away from it, stick with silver. If you have the means, I would recommend keeping your gold holdings (physical bullion) at 10% of your net worth, maximum. Thx for the video!
Passed by home Depot today to see copper pipe price and was shocked to see a 5foot stick of smallest girth going for 16$ 50-70$ full stick
PVC pipe is outrageous too!!!!!
I always had the bug, even as a kid. Had the instinct to jump on it In 2004, never did 😢. Started in 2020 - better late than never. With a strong aptitude in physics and chemistry it’s easy to appreciate how special the material is. If doom influenced my decision, it was only a little. FOMO was more damaging IMO. 1 or 2 coins due to that. But you know what? You still love all your coins equally. 😅

If you have been diligent with your assets, you have comfortable savings. Once that is achieved you want to protect those savings. Having gold in your mix helps protect those hard-earned savings. Thus as some assets may go down there is gold holding the fort. Anxiety reduction? Duh!
Right now I hold (physically, at today's Spot) only $35,000 of Silver (mostly 90% US) and $35,000 in 1 oz. Gold Maples. I have another $50,000 I'm going to convert
to Gold 1 oz. Maples, as I think I have enough Silver. I'm not doing this in anticipation of "profit" as much as just protecting some of my cash, sitting in banks. Also,
I have the "problem" of deciding what to do with the over $4,000 of surplus cash I have to save every month. I guess I'll get more Gold as long as it stays (relatively)
low in Spot price. I don't trusts "Crypto", banks, Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate, so I'll just "improvise", while all of the coming "financial calamity" plays out next year.
@@Nick.Trademark No thanks to overpriced/overhyped Eagles; I'll stick with my 90% US coins, which are much more versatile, cheaper and user friendly.

All we are doing is converting our fiat currency, the digital points for our labor or expertise, into something else that we can use to survive and thrive. This doesnt have to be PMs, but can also be tools, vehicles, property, land, food and water stores etc. It can also be converting you fiat into knowledge. Having all of these things are just how we live life, no reason to hold all of your eggs in your bank accout and just hope it will be worth the tools and skills of other people.
