How to Deploy db.json Mock Server on Render || Host JSON server on GitHub | Host JSON API on Server

Hello everyone in this video you will learn to deploy your db.json file on render.com step by step.
Step 1 - Create git repository
Step 2 - Clone it on your device
Step 3 - Add package.json by using this command `npm init -y`
Step 4 - Install some dependency by using this command `npm i json-server cors json-serve` and add "start": "node index.js" in script
Step 6 - Create index.js file copy the code from my GitHub repository
Step 7 - Add db.json and add .gitignore file
After all this steps are completed use this command to push the code in your Github account.
git add .
git commit -m "Your message"
git push origin main

what are the settings to get the json deployed cause after it builds the start command fails to complete. And I am using react as my framework where should the index.js file be inside the src folder or outside?

As per my experience in react I have always created a separate repository and deployed my json server.
If you will keep json server outside src folder then you might be using localhost to run it on your computer.
But for deployment there are some other things also that we have to keep in mind.
I suggest you deploy json server separately from react app. In order make fetch requests use the deployed end points.

This all is dedicated to only deployment of your JSON Server. No matter what framework or library you use or even in plain javaScript the process of deployment will not change. All this thing we did only to get deployed api link. I hope you understand. If not ask further.

thanks for tutorial! very helpfull. I have a question - do you know solution to deploy a site for free which is using this hosted API? I tried netlify, but it hosts only with SSL certificate which is enable in free version of render.

Try to deploy your app on vercel.com/ its free and my favourite. If you face any issues please mention it.

May be you can deploy your website on AWS (Amazon Web Service) which supports redirection of https to http (disable SSL).
AWS - Gives 12 months free trial.

Key points to remember :
1. You are choosing "For hobby projects" Instance type.
2. You are logged in with your Google account or Github account in render.com
❌Avoid using temp mail accounts during signing up process. If you do so it will ask for credit card details.
