Angelina is represented by Marta Donà, the manager of Marco Mengoni and former manager of Maneskin when they won Eurovision… so I think Italy will have a good staging this year… I’m not preoccupied at all.
Her manager (LaTarma) was behind Maneskin and Marco Mengoni, so for Italy's standards my hopes are relatively high

Honestly LOVING this, went straight to my top. For Eurovision, in a perfect world I would want her to be able to be free on stage, at least to some extent. In Sanremo she performed it differently every night and it kept it fresh and youthful.

I do think we have a winner here. Love the choreographer suggestions, her solo on stage, some spicy camera cuts with intentionality could be so refreshing.
Honestly, yes, slick camera angles are important for Eurovision and we definitely want those for this one but I actually don't really want more choreo than she has in this performance! I love the way she freely moves around the stage and I personally think it could have the Lena effect - simplistic staging but winning the audience over by the charisma of Angelina 😄

And I tend to write comments as I watch the video so I didn't get to the last part that you clipped yet. But at 3:06 you did say lets add some choreo (and dancers, u probably meant it in regards to them and not necessarily her, but I thought so at the first time listening). 😅
Angelina has been breathing music since she was in mummy's womb, she's the daughter of two established successfull Italian singer her brother is also a musician. Her father suddenly dyed on stage when she was 13, jn Sanremo, the night of duets&covers she performed as tribute to his dad one of his songs, whith significant lyrics about longing a lost loved one, she was extremely emotional yet she delivered a standing ovation performance, not to mention the people crying (me included and I'm not the crying person at all)...check out La Rondine... this to say she is perfectly capable to be emotional and go through with the performance turning such emotion into a positive outcome she's a natural on stage and I wouldn't incapsulate her in a complicate coreography because I honestly thing her winning card is her fresh spontaneous energy that's captivating and seduces the audience: I didn't know her before Sanremo and I usually don't listen to this kind of music yet I'm here writing about her totally enamoured after watching her you really wish to join her and the fun and I remember those hortible Eurovisionstaging for Tomania and Ireland in 2021 that killed the act vocals and made them lose the semifinal.... I agree with you it takes more than just one person to fill the Eurovision stage but even if we're not experienced and royalty like American professionals we do have a couple of good coreographer and stage architect and engineers in Italy too😊 I jope we can manage something nice if not to win at least to get a good score with honour and there also many countries that just 😊like us have good entries and deserve their chance to win so fingers crossed 🤗
I appreciated the fact that you also noticed that this song by Angelina has the right characteristics to be appreciated on an international level too. In fact, she seems like the Italian Shakira because she moves on stage with great mastery and sensuality, and sings a song very well that transmits positive energy, irony and a great desire to dance, with a combination of different styles and musical genres of Mediterranean and Latin origin, which together they create a very pleasant cocktail. I think I'm not wrong in saying that Angelina Mango will definitely be an amazing novelty at the Eurovision Festival!!! .
Angelina Mango is charismatic enough, song is great, it will stand out, I just hope staging could help her and top 5 is there.

The song is absolutely wow; I haven't been this enthusiastic about Italy's entry for some years. It's fresh, it's current, authentic and totally gripping. I share your concerns about Italy's staging, but there are great ideas in the music video which I hope they'll tap into.
I loved her styling all week but I think she looked the best on the Saturday night!

definitely not the only one. We already have like 3 or 4 entries that could compete with this for a high result, without having other girl bops as direct competition. Like I could for sure see Ukraine or Norway possibly getting more points

Bro, are you serious? It is an average song. Mahmoud and Annalisa had much nicer songs. It is an ordinary and old fashioned song and the singer neither dances nor sings well. I dance better than her 😂
I think this is the winner lol I don't think any of the other internal selections are toping this and the songs that are gonna win national finals... well...
Basically it was a glorified internal selection since the juries were so pro-Angelina she needed no televote to actually win, she could have got 0% televote and still won overall.
It’s too early for me- and stuff like this is hard to stage. Ima need to see are seeing’s in onstage concepts before I get too hype

I genuinely think that this has winning potential. The only reservation I would have is that it might feel less unique if Marina Satti brings a similar vibe.
It's a Song about depression and how to transform melancholia, "boredom" from something She suffers to something She celebrates. She doesn't Need choreography or dancers. It's not a "Happy Song", that's a Deep oxymoron.
So please, read the lyrics before assuming This Is another Foureira-Chanel kind of Song... 😅
Well, Satellite is basically about unhealthy obsession/limerence, but they still had Lena happily toe-tapping.
Good example. Lena didn't write her song. Angelina did and explicitly said in many interviews that it is autobiographical. So I really think she must be free to perform, dance etc as she prefers. @@heppolo

is a song that she has interpreted differently each time she has gone on the Sanremo stage, which, as you know, is a festival of music and not entertainment, as Eurovision is. She communicated with the audience, who were watching her from the TV and who were present at the Ariston. It would be really nice to see her maintain this spontaneity and interact with the audience in Malmo, but it is true that the EBU production is rigid, and a bit plastered: it's a shame that this energetic and vital performance will surely be forced into little rules and "camera angles." @@AlesiaMichelle

Honestly i think that this song can win and probably without too much staging. You now! Less is more sometimes. Angelina can do this because she fills the stage with her attitude and karisma and attracts the audience and i wish her to win. Hugs from Italy!

It sounds good, she's very charismatic and the song doesn't sound generic at all, that drop gives it some ethnic element, but I just miss something. But then again, I wasn't fan of Soldi and it was 2nd place at ESC. I think this does have chance to come TOP 5, but I don't think it's winning. It could be direct competition to Greece tho.

I think Mahmood could've done something at Eurovision. But she was my second choice and it's been a sausage fest for too long. He can enjoy being a worldwide hit while she hopefully wins Eurovision in the meantime.
This looks like 3rd-5th place so far, because I don't particularly trust televoters with this one.
It's ok Alesia, as an Italian what you said sounds totally reasonable to me. Personally, I think the best part of the package is Angelina's character. There's something about it that's gonna make it very easy for people to connect to. I do agree though that a bad staging could screw her chances. There are a few shots from the music video we could take inspo from in order to do the right thing.
Btw, did you hear the other Sanremo favorites? Do you have any thoughts on Mahmood's Tuta Gold or Annalisa's Sinceramente compared to this one?

so i am not sure if she really needs some dancers;
i want the focus to be on her.
On the other hand,
the visuals of the music video are great,
so she could work on something similar for the stage performance.

Hi Alesia. As you perfectly know this performance was thought for the sanremese stage, where music, lyrics and vocals have the priority. All the sanremese winners throughout the last 15 years, haven't staged at all ( yes Gabbani brought a monkey, thats some kind of staging).
But when the winner song was brought to Esc lately the stagings have fitted perfectly to each of them. Soldi had a good staging, Zitti e Buoni explosive, Brividi elegant and intimate, Due Vite was good too.
Just to remind you that Angelina has the same manager of Marco Mengoni and Maneskin had this manager too when they won.
So I would not be worried that much about the staging.
The discographic label has all the interest to make La Noia a hit and Angelina a star. I think they will invest a lot on her.
Look at the results of her job, the manager is a female, Maneskin touring all over the would and Mengoni all over Europe.
By the way. Angelina in Sanremo was wearing Etro, high fashion stylist.
I'm sure she will got the perfect look for ESC as Maneskin with Gucci, Mahmoud with Maison Margjela and Marco with Versace did.
Pls watch the pre-parties of ESC and I am pretty sure you’re going to be convinced about her presence on stage. You will see her singing (live at a studio quality), dancing (sporting amazing outfits) and engaging the audience that was singing her song in return. I love her carisma on the stage. For my opinion she does nit need any dancers., just more thoughtfull staging and she will be amazing! She moves around all the time.. so just need a perfect camera angles...

I'm always worried about Italy's staging but Angelina has the same manager as Margo Mengoni and Maneskin who were probably the only Italian acts to have good staging lately so I'm a bit more confident. About her styling, this is her performance from night 1 and she's wearing the worst outfit of the week, her styling on the other days and especially on saturday for the finale was way better in my opinion

Give Angelina something to do on stage? She's singing with real energy and dancing with such an attitude which grabbed my attention 100% from start to end and wouldn't like to be distracted by other dancers around except her. My point.

you don't need to know the words, you have her facial expressions that bring meaning and visuals to these words. Besides, there are online translators and sites with already translated songs ... so, they should use the technology and stop being ignorant.
@@MultiSky7 it's more about the delivery rather than lyrics, neutrals said to me she had no flow (in comparison to let's say professional rappers).
@@heppolo but this is not a clasical rap. It's constantly on the edge od singing and raping, and tgerefore it has its own dynamics.
Besides, she is dancing so much and has to, literally, spair every ounce of her breath to make these exchanges between raping, constant staccatto singing - which is the hardest way of singing cause it requires extreme breath control and work of diapragm, and that a cappella part at the end of the song - melodically the highest part of the song, especially after all of that moving on the stage.
Next time when they challenge her on her "rap flow", challenge them back to try to do what she does for 3+ minutes: sing a song in staccatto way, with that much lyrics, dance like stage is on fire and rap, and see how that went.
What she is doing is her own trademark, she is not copying no one.
They should look at it from other perspective - as something new.
@@heppolo ps. I have no horse in this race, I am not Italian, I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I am a musician (Singer) and I care about the quality of the song and music in general ... so I'm as neutral as one can be.
@@MultiSky7 Her vocal technique is fine, her slightly nasal tone is what bothers those casual viewers I talked to more, some compared her to her father singing style unfavorably. There's in general a bit of prejudice to any bit of female rapping still, esp. if it's not in English.
I guess there is this expectation from Italians either to be completely flawless singers like Diodato, Mengoni or Annalisa or have something so catchy and modern that nobody cares about the vocals (like Mahmood's Tuta Gold) or at least serve something retro.
Angelina is right in the middle of all those categories, and can be elevated to a Eurovision victory with some marketing (if it's already a European hit in the making like "Tattoo" had become even before the contest) and thoughtful staging.

Background stuff is ok, but usually italian entries did way better without dancers (except maybe Diodato out of contest). I think Angelina has the attitude to get things done with good lighting, and camera work, while letting her be herself.

Art is noway competition! Competition is TV and marketing... So I disagree with this attitude somebody should have that attitude they come to win! She comes to rock. Eurovision is an important stage for a singer to be know world wide, so the real win is to be there being so young and at the
beginning of a public/tv carreer.She comes from a family made up of musicians, she has a very hard personal story, she has all what it takes to bring art up high in the skies and to front that stage

If they made adirect copy from remo and she performed solo like that i still have her top 5, the song and live performance and vocal are simply that strong to me. It's a pity that Italy won't be presented by Annalisa. Her song was better and she has a much better vocal range.
Honestly she still might win. This year is looking to be INCREDIBLY weak. Any other year this, Luxembourg, France, they would all be fighting to get into top 10, but compared to the likes of Croatia, Ireland, Finland, they have a real good chance at topping this year.
Of course Aiko and Bambi can push to the top when they get some real money thrown at them and pull a Poland with sorting out their vocal issues, but for now, this Eurovision doesn't seem competitive.

@@user-kp2td4cq5f Everyone was hyping Annalisa up before the festival, so I was excited to hear her song, but I was really disappointed with it :( It's very uninspired, even her vocals didn't save it. So i'm really happy that Angelina won instead, the song has more going for it imo.

Following you for some years Michelle, respect you dont get me wrong, but you really lack that REAL eurovision EURO VIBE.... I advise you to dig further into eurovisions past starting from the 1980's to 90's to really grasp that EURO feeling, believe, witj tjd right translations you could become a really EUROVISION ICON IF YOU WANT.... but untill now it all seems to americain witj no euro vibes at all sorry Michelle....

It’s the TELEVISION show called the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. If you think winning is only about the song you would be incorrect. Europe is voting based off the full package and YES that includes performance and dancing which isn’t crap both are art forms deserving respect.
