Annalisa was my favourite for the win, but when she sang her fathers song I honestly almost cried, my dad was a singer too and we were in a band together, he has also passed away but I love to sing my dad's songs still to this day.

However the most characteristic thing you hear in the song is undoubtedly the Colombian cumbia music genre... in fact the song says it!!! "La cumbia de la noia". That's the reason why the rhythm is so catchy. Immediately when I heard the song it transported me to my city in the Colombian Caribbean.

She is an amazing singer, so much energy in her song and so much feelings when she sang her father's song.
The swallow ( la Rondine) is symbolic, it speaks of a love that has gone away in the father's version but her version is a lament of pain for the absence of her father.
It really looks like she's talking to him, asking him where he is and asking him why he's on the wrong side of the sky now
The lyrics are something so emotional and she was able to interpret them masterfully with her voice.
La noia instead (which means the boredom) is all another genre and leaves no doubt that she is very talented.

hi! her father also sang on the Sanremo stage, she is now there to sing where her father sang. You're crying like all of Italy cried.... and you didn't even understand the words. There are lines like "where are you, where are you?" or "you are my swallow that went away and left me a void" "you are in the wrong sky".
Her father died during one of his concert at 60yo and she was present, she was only 12 years old.
I genuinely believe only heartless people can watch this and not cry. The emotion in her voice is just unreal, and she honoured her father in the best way possible. Here I am with tears in my eyes while listening again and writing this

And the day after her father's death one of his brothers also died during the funeral wake. Angelina's family had two terrible and sudden deaths in two days, it was a huge tragedy for their entire family, a shock for all of Italy
