Thank you! It seems like his hand never stops.. is he throwing some more upstrokes in there? it's hard to tell. when I'm playing it's like D (rest) UDUD (rest) but his hand seems to be in constant motion.
I have watched a number of WT videos recently. Brian's vocal on this one is maybe the best of any I have heard so far. In the spirit of Worship Tutorials, it is not just about the pitch of the vocals or the strumming of the guitar; he sings it like he MEANS it. That is the lesson.
I was brought here by the performance of Steven Yeun in the Netflix series "Beef". I have watched at least a dozen covers before I got here. And like I did with Stevens performance, I ugly cried throughout.
Now,I’m a card carrying Atheist. But for whatever reason this song cut thru any religious beliefs for me. It was the catalyst for a much needed pressure relief.

Would love a strumming tutorial. The chords are easy. The stumming, to me is like patting my head with one hand and circling my stomach with the other hand. Acoustic guitar has really evolved.

I'm a worship guitarist, playing lead, but I occasionally lead worship at a local Celebrate Recovery. I did so this past Friday, and I pulled this one out, first time for me to lead on it. I also do it in A, B is too high.

I was just playing along with this song on your tutorial video, came here to play along without the interruptions, and now you've added a capo on the second fret. I have a good capo, but hate using it.
Why? It relieves you of having to play barre chords up and down the neck.

the guitar is quiet and the chords don't match. It looks and sounds like you are leaving your pinky on the 3rd fret for some of the chords. I leave my pinky on for all the chords because It sounds weird if you take it off for a few of them. Can't notice it in the video because the guitar is too quiet
