I wonder how the studies can actually be implemented. The test match is usually played for 5days and bowlers at least get 2days of bowling generally speaking. An average fast bowler bowls at least 30overs in an innings. So, the workload on the body parts is very high- if you include practice, it is even higher. Also, the off-season and in-season is not really there in current way cricket is played. The same team almost always plays all the 3formats. I agree this is increasing risk of injuries both physically and mentally, but if science has a method to improve without avoiding doing things, it'll be fun. Don't know if its possible though.

That’s the difficult part for coaches, athletes, and rehab professionals to figure out. Doing too much can increase injury risk and lead to time completely off to recover but you really can’t be so limited that you don’t take any risk. That balance is very difficult to determine. Good strength training and rehab work can increase the capacity of the athlete to handle high loads though, so that’s certainly an area to focus on.

Make a video for badminton players. I know plenty of intermediate players who are self taught through RUclips.

I’m actually from the USA. I’ve seen Cricketers around campus but I’ve never played myself. But I’m fascinated by different sport movements and a colleague of mine Zaki Afzal grew up playing in Pakistan. So we ended up working together to make these videos and a full program. I hope I can save up and travel to watch a game, learn about a different culture, and perhaps learn to play the game sometime soon.
