Body and Soul - A guitar named Milonga

Hey RUclipsrs,
Here is a video of my Milonga, a guitar crafted by Daniël Slaman that emulates my latin origins (thank you GrandPa and GrandMa that came from Italy!). This guitar is a real joy to play. I just wanted to emphasize the beauty of her sound and let her ring as much as possible. For that, I've used a great backing track from Eaglehart YT channel. These guys are real cats who know how to make a song shine.

Merci, aussi, à cette rare guitare..., car (je pense que) nous pensons trop souvent (et c'est normal) au musicien ou à la musique que nous entendons et trop peu aux qualités propres de l'instrument (ici cette guitare) et à son "identité". Bravo à cette Milonga !! ;-)

This is a Kent Armstrong handwired PU. This guitar is unique and was crafted by Daniel Slaman (The Hague, The Netherlands) in dedication to Paolo Conte, the italian singer and musician. I cannot tell you how much a luthier would ask for such an instrument, beacause there is such a lot of hand work. Probably around 10 grand.

Thanks. Yes, they are mine. But it's more a matter of priority than anything else. I don't have big cars and big cigars or fancy penthouse. All my personal life is dedicated to playing jazz and my instruments. And I've played for the first 30 years owning just 2 guitars at the same time. Cheers.
