I ordered and received both of them today, neither one will pass video out to my Xreal AR glasses. I'm super disappointed. I liked the Razer Kishi V2 more than the backbone so I'm sending the Backbone back. The amazon page says it outputs video, and maybe it does to a TV, but that's not what I needed.
I’ve just ordered the Kishi V2, was originally going to get the backbone until I realised I would need an adapter to fit my phone in it, watched some videos of people using the same phone as me with the adapter and it looked ridiculous and was curved outwards on one side whilst seated in the backbone, looked so janky, Kishi looks very elegant and better quality, also backbone has a paywall that you need to pay after 30 days to use all of their features on their app making it pretty much the Kishi v2 if you don’t pay it.
just bought the Razer Kishi V2 and played cod mobile and it ain’t bad at all so far, i think i made the right choice picking the Kishi V2… and that extra button they added is perfect for slide shooting on Cod Mobile
I've had my Kishi V2 since launch and I'm still very pleased with it. My friend has a backbone and enjoys it himself. I think they're both good. I prefer the d pad and triggers on the razer.
8:55 The directional pad would be a deal breaker for me as I love retro games. My understanding is the backbone one uses membrane conductive d-pad while the kishi uses domed buttons for the d-pad. My issue is with the 1st gen kishi has been giving me errant vertical inputs when I am moving forwards or backwards. This sucks as in Castlevania if you press up and attack you will use a heart weapon instead of a normal attack.
@@ghosttiee9212 I watched another reviewer glow about the d-pad on the backbone one. I think I will try to find a used backbone one controller. This reviewer may not really use a d-pad much. The earliest d-pad in a divot I can remember is the Sega Genesis. I never "lost" my position on a d-pad on the nes, SNES, N64, and I love my 8bitdo pro 2 wired controller. All of those were membrane d pads without sitting in a divot. Shrug
Looks like you have reciewed the Backbone v1. The Backbone v2 has definitely been improved. Backbone V2 is definitely worth looking at. Better in my opinion
@TKsTechCorner, hope this message finds you well. I'm very interested in buying the Razer Kishi V2. I run different emulators on my mobile, including pinball ones. Please, is it possible to use this controller to play vertical games (portrait mode) like pinball games with the phone in portrait orientation? If it is not possible to keep the phone attached to the controller in this scenario, is it possible to place the phone on a table stand and still use the controller wirelessly (e.g. via bluetooth)? Thank you in advance!
I have a Dexnor shockproof case on my Samsung galaxy s22+ which one would you say is more compatible and case friendly, don't wonna keep taking my phone case off every time I use these controllers, would be ideal if It works without having to keep taking my case off to connect it
Hey there, I personally prefer the gamesir x2 pro. It feels like the best one i've tested all around. I'll be doing a video to compare all of the main controllers I have in the very near future, stay posted!
I bought the kishi razer 2 for my z Fold 4 but you cant get it in to connect with the samsung case so i returned it. It felt nice and all but I ended up ordering a Gamesir pro 2
I'm glad that you went for the Gamesir X2 pro, I think it's a better controller, and so far it's my preferred controller out of all of the ones I have tested. All the best!
@@TKsTechCorner Gamesir does feel the most solid especially with heavier phones. However, not having headphone jack is a huge deal breaker when gaming on phone for hours in terms of battery life, sound quality and latency. 3.5mm jack is a must which puts the backbone on top out of the 3.
Does the GameSir X2 work with emulation? I'm wanting a non obtrusive controller similar to these. I can't decide between the GameSir X2, Backbone, or the Razer Kishi V2. The one is cheaper than the 2. But mainly want a good one for emulation/ Button mapping. Thank you.
This is the in depth review I've been looking for. Thanks brother 👍👍
Best review I've found comparing these two controllers, thank you
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Great video and comparison I had both and like the kishi more but Backbone is still good choice as well

You deserve more views this finally helped me decide which one to get.

I think it's like a cheat mod for cod

It’s the same thing they only added support for cases…
The review i knew i needed good stuff 😌 🙏
Great review 🔥
Thankyou!
Which controller feels more ergonomic? The Kishi v1 was flat on the backside and uncomfortable to hold.
Thanks for the review.

Are you just biased against the backbone because your phone is sketchy with it?

Who wins ?
If only they made it a bit bigger so I can attach a iPad mini/ small tablet to it
Why do the buttons have to have clicky sounds😢
How does gamesir x2 pro compared with razer kishi v2? Which has the easier to press buttons, and also better d-pad?

the grips are very bad and the joy sticks are very small for me to aim and i have small hands. i think it goes for both the controllers
I have the razor with the psplay third party app. How can we re map the touch pad from the PS5 controller
