well that's one of the oldest/first ones made, that was really just a quick made to get the job done attachable controllers for android phones solution vs truly quality and ergonomics focused and what have you, come on now....but guess what i have one too, for years now and it still works and it does still get the job done, again is it the greatest, no, but if u aren't that anal/nitpicky and more focused on your game and as long is u don't have to bother with touch, it's hardly an issue...if u do care, then anything that came after like kishi 2, backbone and others are already much improved, i mean if u never had issues using handhelds with controls like vita, switch lite, gba etc then the gripes with these aren't really going to be any worse/that much different if not better in some cases given they pretty much all have more of a grip than those completely flat handhelds...galielo 8 and this new razr iteration are clealry even more of a step up since they are going for a standard controller shape/size, feel, etc, nothing to be skeptical about nor is kishi v1 an indication of how those will actually feel or really comparable to those...plenty of reputable sources/reviews out there for them too

@thetg2117 i hear u, for me, geforcenow has been working so well, truely feels like native and in many ways better given how high fps can pushed all while visuals are at their absolute max settings, dlss and reflex aren't even needed given i only need 1080p max for my phone screen or even 720p looks just as good, leaves so much power, but those features are there as well if needed...truely looks so crisp on my phones oled screen indistinguishable from native, all I needed was a controller, but i will say those pc handheld releases as of late have been enticing, just not sure if I'd enjoy them any better especially given many current games will need to be set to lower bound visual settings and fps just so they can run and then with native play u also gotta factor in heat battery etc vs streaming it's about as stressful on the device as watching a video

I don’t mind the Bluetooth lag during mobile emulation, and for PC, I use it with a wired connection, where it works perfectly. The only aspect I’m not fond of is the rumble. However, considering it cost me only $15, it’s a much better deal compared to this one. plus, it comes with both hall-based triggers and joysticks. which makes it perfect

With all the dedicated handheld devices that can play AAA games, there's no reason to consider horrible mobile gaming.

Slight correction at 1:11, the Kishi V1 only uses micro switches for the 3 tiny buttons (home/prev/next). The D-pad, face and shoulder buttons aren't clicky at all, unlike the GameSir X2 Pro that uses micro switches for everything except the analog sticks and triggers.

$150? No phone controller is worth this. EasySMX M10 Type-C is 30ish on Ali. Features both hall sensor sticks AND triggers. To me this is all you need and the ergonomics. Don't need RGB

The price is too high for a mobile controller, especially with options like Backbone at $99. This controller needs unique features to justify the cost. With more mobile controllers being announced, hopefully prices will decrease in the future.

Id argue 100 is too high for a backbone (I own one and several other mobile controllers ) the quality you get for 100 compared to what a PS5 , joycon or Xbox controller offers for cheaper in comparison has to make you think why are these things so expensive lol

Not a fan of these kind of controllers I think actual portable consoles are a better investment than these as you also need to buy another device 'cos if you use your phone as a portable console then you will be needing a battery replacement pretty soon, as well as eyewear 🕶️ my previous experience of playing on my phone was just eye strain

  • @beetwing

Is this a "mushy" D-Pad like their previous controllers? If so, it's a pass, it's impossible to play fighting games. Clicky d-pads like the XBOX series is just perfect.

I wish someone would make an Android handheld with a 7-8-inch screen, full-sized controllers, a powerful enough chipset to run everything in the Appstore. That would be the definitive mobile-gaming experience. They don't even have to go all out. Something with a previous-gen snapdragon 8 gen chipset and 8gb of ram would work well while keeping cost down. The AYN Odin 2 is amazing example of this, but it uses a smaller screen. We're so close yet so far from a definitive mobile-gaming device. If we can stay around the $300 price point for a true definitive mobile-gaming device, that would be a great buy and have amazing battery life because of the ARM chipset.
