Phoebe is like the loose cannon cop, she would have had to hand in her badge and gun a long time ago if she wasn't the best damn advice columnist on the force
Glad I'm not the only one 😂 I love her commentary. I wish she hated another show I loved as a kid so she'd make more videos like these. Hopefully we get a pll saga here
Gonna love how Paige struggling with her professional career is a recurring theme at her job when Phoebe can litterally start a office brawl at her job without repercussions while Piper only work when it's the most inconveniant for everyone else.
Looking back on it, I realise how much Phoebe working at The Bay Mirror influenced my perception of what an office environment was like. I use to watch Charmed when I was 13/14 years old, and I use to honestly believe that the office world was like how they portrayed it, with people getting jobs in two seconds, bosses forgiving you for everything you did, everyone randomly sleeping with people all over the place in the office. As an adult of 30 years old who works in an office, you really do see this stuff from a different perspective.
If they wanted magical babies so bad on the show, they could have argued that binding Wyatt's powers makes him extremely vulnerable to demons. This could have been an interesting dilemma, making him defenseless in case of an attack or having a baby with magic powers it can't handle yet. But I guess ignoring interesting scenarios is Charmed's bread and butter
My idea: since Wyatt is supposed to be so powerful, say that he can't be bound. The sisters try it, but his magic is so strong that it breaks the binding.
"The balance of Good and Evil tips... Good will win if they're gone!" made me laugh so much, thanks to its beautiful simplicity. Can't wait for the second Rewind of the month!
I don't think Wyatt made the dragon from watching TV, rather from watching Piper, since she is a scaly, fire-breathing monster that blows up people on sight.
Many people pointed out that they had one thousands ways of making Piper not wanting to bind Wyatt's make sense. But you could also have used to explain it why Wyatt eventually turned into Evil NIckelback. Future Piper could have binded his powers because he was too powerful, Wyatt turned bitter over this and eventually took over the world after some extra steps. Let Present Piper does the same, learn about Wyatt turning evil and voila. Piper now have an ark about her parenting worries that's going somewhere (and not some jokes where she call herself a bad mom after a mild mistake) and tied up to the main plot of the season.
paige wanting a life outside of magic to keep temp jobs.... when most of the temp jobs are related to magic is ironic. someone is secretly evil or an innocent in need of saving. it's like the elders are in charge of the temp agency and are like let's send all the magical jobs to paige. xD
If I had to choose a carman for this episode, it would be Cole, because for once Phoebe is not blaming him for anything, like causing the fight at the workplace.
The Cleaners make their great debut!... By doing their jobs so half-assedly that the Charmed Ones find out that something is wrong in less than five minutes. Great Job, Cleaners!
I'm just gonna assume Phoebe going Blegh when feeling the fear and despair of hundreds of people is just her being digusted to feel other people's emotions AND not finding a way to make the situation about herself
When the Cleaners introduced themselves and explained to the sisters what they do, they could've had Piper ask them where were they when Prue died and then have one of the Cleaners say something like "Some things are even beyond our control" and have him look at Paige, insinuating that that was the way things had to play out, because - destiny. P.S. when you said "She got a boner for herself" I spit my water out lol... also, that comment pretty much describes season 5-season 8 Phoebe.
In the Derell episode, where the Cleaners make a return, it turns out that yes, the Cleaners cannot bring back the dead. So yes, all those people Wyatt's dragon killed stayed dead the Cleaners just modified memories to a different cause of death.
Yknow if they wanted to make binding his powers a dilemma, they could’ve had them unsure if there was a way to reverse it. Would’ve made Piper’s choice about wanting it a part of his upbringing have more weight.
We are the Cleaners! We are to protect the secret about magic everyday! Apar for that time where Phoebe froze a doctor while pregnant, or that other time when you used magic to close the door in front of someone when Piper was sick, Or that time Piper and Prue got exposed as witches, And that was that alternate timeline where you revealed magic to the world, Oh and remember that time when a doctor stole your powers and accidentally gave them to monkeys? ... What were we talking about again?
Charmed is really 4Kids censoring their own apocalypse event. “It’s a miracle no one was hurt” has the same vibe of “Look, I can see their parachutes! They're okay!”
Piper doesn't blow up people, she just send them in the shadow realm ! So instead of killing them, she just send them straight to hell!... seems disturbingly in character when you think about it.
It would have made so much more sense for this episode to be about trying to teach Wyatt to put his toys away (granted, that might mean it would have to wait until he was a little older). They could have Piper trying to teach Wyatt the importance of putting one's toys away, show her stepping on things and hurting herself or breaking them, getting frustrated, Wyatt does it eventually, but he's not getting it. Finally, when they go to confront the dragon, they see the mess it's caused, and they try to get Wyatt to "put his toys away" again, this time meaning the dragon. Could even keep the bit about his mom/aunts potentially getting hurt before he does it. Lesson learned, it's wholesome and family friendly, and not AS dumb.
You know you just made my day posting this right??? I can't wait to listen to it and laugh! My birthday is tomorrow so I take this as an early gift! Thank you!!!! ❤❤❤
the cleaners always felt like a plot hole. they are only in 2 episodes in season 6 and then never pop up again until the comics. it's just pointless to bring them in. like should have just done something like the angels of destiny did this because they were already established. because the sisters always cleaned up their magical messes. and then they decide this is the the one time they're going to intervene. there was an episode where wyatt was using his powers to make his eyes look like blue orbs and scare piper's dates away. that was exposing magic. and the sisters don't do anything about it. and neither do the cleaners.
"Phoebe you are a loose cannon, but dammit you are an awesome columnist and gets papers sold! You are on suspension but with pay because we like you. Now hand in your typewriter. "
So funny, I really enjoyed this Charmed review. Would be great to hear you do a review of "It's a bad bad bad world" part 1 and 2 I think there is a lot to talk about in those episodes about how Charmed deals with the concept of good and evil
Thanks for the episode! I don't always get around to it right away but I do watch them in my own time. Today was a tiring day and this was sorely needed and welcome!
The Cleaners could have worked if they just put in a line about them being established after All Hell Breaks Loose to prevent disasters like that happening again. However, they later say they were assigned to watch the Charmed Ones since they first became witches so you can't even headcanon that plot hole away. Like, did anybody during the production of this episode bring up this up? This isn't contradicting some random rule in a one-off episode that was promptly forgotten about, it's one of the most significant episodes in the entire series. This inconsistency is an unforgivable example of poor writing and world-building.
Hmmm...Phoebe faces no real challenges, is flawless at her job, adored by all, untouched by consequences, and wields magical powers for convenient plot resolutions. There's a literary term for such a character; hint: it rhymes with "berry stew."
Piper should have created a potion to selectively bind all of Wyatt's offensive powers and keep the defensive force field. Also, the ghost of the late lamented Prue Halliwell is shaking her fist at the bullshit retcons that narratively invalidate previous high stakes episodes about exposure. No wonder she didn't want to come back in season 7 to "gift them astral projection" for the finale.
they're very inconsistent with time travel. like in the 60's episode if penny had stayed a hippie their whole history should have changed. not just present penny becoming a hippy. wyatt and chris should potentially disappear. maybe even paige, piper and phoebe. if penny stayed a flower child who would protect the girls after patty's death? but they just gloss over it for comedy.
Thank You for another very enjoyable episode. Margoyle: That one cleaner that doesn't get to talk expect things to stress the words that the main cleaner said. What a follower! Carman: Wyatt. Not only can he summon a dragon with the blink of his eyes, he also gets away with it with no punishment. No yelling, no binding his powers, no taking away his toys. Just a fun day for him...
I don’t know if this subplot with Paige was intentional given rose McGowans history with SA but I am sure she enjoyed putting a a sleepy guy like that in his place and I love to see it
I have a lot of fun with this episode, but I did wish they did something with Paige's story because Orbing a vase on a Predatory boss to the head (although I found it a little funny) isn't really solving anything hell it could cause a lawsuit for the lady she glamoured. And they could have written that Phoebe's Empathy projected on everyone at the office that's why everybody went Roundhouse crazy and Piper's solution (because I'm his Mother) to keep Wyatt under control was really weak and I do understand why she didn't bind his powers because he can do force fields incase a Demon attacks but she could have bind his other powers like : projecting stuff i.e. Dragon, using whitelighter eyes to scare his mommy's dates and etc...
I hated this episode precisely because they seem to gloss over the death of so many people. Though, within the parameters of Charmed I would have no clue how to fix the episode, since they can't very well have them erase Wyatt. Maybe have an ending where the Cleaners agree to restore Wyatt, but without restoring his powers (this still eliminating the dragon and the death and destruction from existence)? Then it could be revealed that Wyatt "turned evil" because he completely lost his powers, and Piper could relaize it was because she didn't bind his powers when she had the chance? Something like that/
I'd love that and they could still have it where Piper, while she isn't pleased about the ultimatum like Patty, she would rather love her son as mortal than lose him.
Random but what if there was a Charmed universal studios theme park ride? 4D glasses and a roller coaster into the Halliwell home. And when Shax breaks in and blasts us, it jerks the roller coaster back. We hear Leo’s orbs over us and they blow cool air on the metal bars when he revives us. 😂 Then Piper starts yellin at him and they spray water on us to emulate some of her spit. Classic ❤

You are not far off the mark with fear and Phoebe. I mean, you know that name is the female version of Phobos, one of Ares' sons, the god of fear itself? :P 01:07:30 - And then the Cleaners went "We'll make our own Charmed Ones, with blackjack and hookers!"
Piper, this episode: Casually travel through time even though it's supposedly very hard and casually make the Golden Bridge and Wyatt's Dragon disappear - Piper in the next season: Help! My son put me (And my stupid husband) in a dollhouse and we can't get out!
Wait. Why would having empathy powers make you a mess? You’d just be able to tell how people are feeling. Wait. Is this how Dont Nod got the idea for true colors 🤢🤮
Can the dragon be the Car-Man? Sure, it killed a bunch of people, probably, but you can't blame a dragon for dragoning, and at least it's a cooler antagonist than usual.
the Cleaners are great, because they resolve every plot hole ever. Phoebe can't decide whether she loves or hates Cole from episode to episode? the Cleaners were there. nobody thinks about Prue for more than ten seconds after she dies? Cleaners!
they could of had fun with Wyatt's troublesome tot character arc I know it sounds really jokey but imagine if they got Jo Frost to play a demonic Mary Poppins or one of the nannies from Nanny 911
Good stuff buddy,…… u know; I sure do miss Halloween already. I sure hope you & Phelous do something bad ass for Christmas (yes I know I should say thanksgiving, that’ll be nice too but I always felt that Christmas & thanksgiving go hand in hand), like review something badass, yeaaaaa y’all did pretty kool on Halloween with Family Matters, but I could’ve used something like,… oh idk, phelous making fun of a ghost catcher reviewer or something, or old man reading a creepypasta idk, bottom line; just take care & NEVER stop what y’all are doing please lol
there was times it felt like it was just angel season 1.swap out vampire for jungle guy. a supernatural creature teaming up with a cop to solve problems. xD but it loved the show. lucy lawless being his aunt was also fun.
“Leo!! Wyatt melted another mailman. Come clean this mess up!”
“The Charmed Ones fucked up so hard the Cleaners caused the reboot” is my new favorite headcanon.
Phoebe is like the loose cannon cop, she would have had to hand in her badge and gun a long time ago if she wasn't the best damn advice columnist on the force
This episode establishes that Phoebe's love advice is so good she can violently assault her boss and not get fired.
Such great advice as "Men are disgusting and love is fake! Also love can only happen between a man and woman, gays aren't real."
Your Charmed reviews bring me life. I think I genuinely watch them at least 5 times a year. It's like a comfort show.

I don't think Wyatt made the dragon from watching TV, rather from watching Piper, since she is a scaly, fire-breathing monster that blows up people on sight.
The only true difference being that dragons doesn't complain as much
Wyatt definitely has a body count from this episode alone.
And lets not forget all his Excalibur kills.
“I have no Carman, I have a second Margoyle” is such a damning statement~
Ive been depressed and ill all day and I can't tell you both enough that the sight of a Charmed Rewind brightened up my day. It's the small things!
Thank you! Hope things get brighter for you soon.
Prue claiming in season two that she'd kick Mr Clean's ass is why The Cleaners refused to show up until after she was dead.
I imagine there was a large sign above the door to the Charmed writers' room the just said "eh...whatever."
"If that's sounds like a good idea, We will make it stupid."
Piper turning the bridge into a green screen effect was the only thing I remembered from season 6 for several years
Many people pointed out that they had one thousands ways of making Piper not wanting to bind Wyatt's make sense. But you could also have used to explain it why Wyatt eventually turned into Evil NIckelback.

I mean when you other options are Phoebe or Piper, it's not really much of a choice.
Where were the Cleaners when Phoebe killed that baseball player in an alternate universe in that episode Morality Bites?
The Cleaners wanted to watch Phoebe burn at the stake, so they let it slide.
Or when Prue died...or when the reporter, or the police, or the fbi find out about magic.
If I had to choose a carman for this episode, it would be Cole, because for once Phoebe is not blaming him for anything, like causing the fight at the workplace.

Maybe Charmed is like the Saw universe where everyone except a select few are all drooling morons.
The Charmed promos were so sensationalised & misleading they could have their own review series
"I SLEPT WITH A ZOMBIE?!"
Its not surprising that Wyatt is hell on earth even as a baby, considering his parentage.

Dang just 2 days late…
Also...can the cleaners erase video on cell phones and cameras? Cause that would make you think.

Metal Gear Wyatt: The Phantom Baby.
until they said, i couldn't tell which was the joke title and which was the shows actual title for the episode
I loved Tarzan. Travis Fimmel was hot.
there was times it felt like it was just angel season 1.swap out vampire for jungle guy. a supernatural creature teaming up with a cop to solve problems. xD but it loved the show. lucy lawless being his aunt was also fun.
This episode of Charmed was one of the worst ones ever made. Thank you for making me laugh at a total piece of crap.🤣🤣🤣🤣
